okay lets start over
Is it finally helping time
lord i need this đ
you can get a 6950xt for 1100
i'd just go with the last nadaman list tbf
IDK that guy insisted on the more expensive one
this is a mood tbh
Donât opt for an Nvidia GPU for NVENC, it ainât necessary, even if they are streaming
welcome to the hobby
@blazing sagewhts ur updated list
đ đ đ
They can x264 or Quicksync their way to streaming
the list that the devil made is a bit nicer
can u guys both send the links here
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
mine lacks monitors though
monitors can wait
cus i have these 2 rn
in that case; https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MNphKp
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower
that's already a nice monitor
tbh the 27GN800-B would be a downgrade
u dont think i need an ugrade right
IDK why he's obsessed with the nitro pure + G6
monitor wise
since you have two monitors, how about we fit an extra one
maybe a middle one right @blazing sage
ye middle one
i prefer vesa tho so i can hook it alll up
basically all the good monitors have VESA mounts anyway
ah ok ok
even my TV sized monitor has a vesa mount
Nadaman, your monitor has VESA right?
i also need a triple mount vesa i guess
Smh, nvm then
i'm not sure if the 6950 XT is really worth it over the 6900 XT here, but the budget is high enough to say "ah fuck it i'll buy it anyway"
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7x9Kcb (edited in an A1000G PSU)
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Fractal Design Torrent ATX Mid Tower
oh i could put a 1000W PSU
A1000G is a good bet
u really like that monitor huh i might go with that
will it make my set up look weird
i wonder how it compares to the 1000W G6
like i shuld turn my left/right monitors in right
its a bigger uplift than the 6750xt was
M27Q X based as fuck
for starters its a better platform
Seasonic Focus vs CWT CSZ
The EVGA 1000 G6 is worthy of your attention if you seek a powerful, compact power supply for a potent gaming system. It uses a proven Seasonic platform that received some upgrades to match the competition. With a better price, it will give competing offerings in this category a hard time.
its modified though
aris, my beloved
When EVGA makes a better focus than Seasonic
what is this anyways @blazing sage
RAM/SSD Bundle
part bundle
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2DqhKp what u think
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Antec DF700 Flux ATX Mid Tower
how is this one guys
massive downgrade
that board doesn't do DDR4 good, massive downgrade on the PSU end
this what someone said about the build
bapo
their advice has always been trash
@blazing sage lmao
@astral needle we're helping him in here
you mind if i invite the guy who had opinion on build
how do. i inv him here this chat
just ping him
wait no
kek
@jade oxide
there we go
just jay been helping me and gave me this build
JustJay#1918
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Fractal Design Torrent ATX Mid Tower
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Antec DF700 Flux ATX Mid Tower
OCing benefits really arenât worthwhile as of now, 6950xt has worse encoding and is overpriced (gigabyte 6900xt is $760) DDR5 is self explanatory, horrible value.
rest of the list is very poor
tweaked my list, here
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700F, GeForce RTX 3080 12GB LHR, Antec DF700 Flux ATX Mid Tower
Locked SA voltages limit ram choice significantly
Xe Quicksync is better encoder than Nvenc
DDR5 + SSD was a better value combo than separate decent DDR4 + SSD
that DDR5 kit is also Hynix M-die, currently the best Hynix IC
Fractal Torrent is one of the best cases on the market for aircooling
MSI A1000G is an amazing PSU for the money considering its impressive performance for a new platform (CWT CSZ)
CWT CSZ?
6950xt is also the fastest card on the market for the resolution he plans to play at
PSU platform the A1000G is based on
Ah ok
its also what the new NZXT PSU is based on, at least the 1000w
So much power, lol
wait wait so what we leaning towards parts wise lol anything change
i wanna buy it all this week
@solar pollen what's the first list
this one ? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7x9Kcb
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Fractal Design Torrent ATX Mid Tower
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Fractal Design Torrent ATX Mid Tower
the 2nd one is minmaxing for the sake of minmaxing
BAPO minmaxing is aids
Not bad
Check the end
click the link at the bottom
but i think itâll be over my budget cus theyâre like $300 each
nvm iâm dumb
decent, its got the best IC for DDR5 lmao
Avoids the whole DDR4 bullshit altogether
Bundle deals are pretty decent at times
I guess I should say decent bin out of box
outside of those G.skill ultra low latency kits, these are amazing
Actually wait 6000C38?
yes

guaranteed Hynix M-die
the monitor paired with my https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2719dgf/apd/210-arcj/monitors-monitor-accessories
iâll be able to have 3x monitors ?
dp cord right
yeah
that monitor u recommended mad good right also
can u recommend like a vesa 3x monitor holder lol i went on amazon
thereâs like 40 of these
I would get a better main monitor but I'm saving for an RV :(
RV as in the vehicle ??
Yes
wow nice lol
@solar pollen
Going to find a cheap used one
From experience go 3 separate ones
unless you have 3 of the exact same monitors
wonât it look bad ? @solar pollen
can u show me what u mean đŽ
the VESA mount locations are different from monitor to monitor
but if theyâre all 27ââ why wouldnât it work?
because some aren't dead center
fkkkk
sometimes its a little bit higher, a little bit lower etc
it should be mostly fine
they just won't line up exactly
if you're gaming on one monitor it doesn't matter
honestly, you might actually be fine
i need a vesa 3x holder tho what u got for me @solar pollen
lowkey iâd i get stuck how to set it up
did you not see...the bundle??
it costs similarly to getting b-die ddr4 with a higher end 2tb ssd
âI also recomend you not use K version, that has integrated graphics which you also dont needâ what this mean boss @blazing sage
what he talking about
lol
if you get an intel CPU without an F in the name, it comes with built in UHD 770 graphics
so should i change anything or lol
UHD 730 for the 12400, but that's unrelated
it's a great quality of life feature to have if you want extra video outputs or need to troubleshoot your GPU. plus it's good at streaming due to quicksync
The reason youâre not getting an NVIDIA GPU is because you should opt for something with an iGPU
^
That iGPU is gonna help a lot for streaming and editing
basically, don't bother getting an F chip at this budget. the price saving isn't worth it
it would be a drop in the bucket lol
âI would reccomend u use ddr4 motherboard because ddr5 is still expensive and ddr5 is still in beginning phaseâ
he obviously didn't see the bundle
lol
Thereâs a bundle that makes it cost effective
the bundle makes it rather cost effective
also, since you can get the 12700K for $290, getting the 12700F is pointless
these idiots clearly cannot read
wait a minute, i don't see the 50 dollar coupon rip
well with this it would make it $315, which costs the same as the 12700F
"shitty cpu fan" @gilded thistle
ah yes, one of the highest end CPU coolers on the market is now shitty
Iâd like to point out the AK620 is better than some 240mm AIOs
More than enough for a locked, and even unlocked 12700
what's the fucking point of getting an F chip if it costs the same as a non-F chip????
are these bapo fuckers blind??
this one @gilded thistle
yes All cpu fan is shitty compared to Liquid cooling.
also I find your ignorance quite amusing ...
The K chip has integrated graphics. WTF is the point of getting a K chip if you already have a 1000$ graphics card sitting on the list
quicksync
because price wise its identical to the 12700
especially with the microcenter coupon
I do find you lack of faith disturbing
I love the Hobbit
faith in pc building?
I love how someone can be so adamant and wrong at the same time
I know right
So. Let me break it down super quick, so weâre all on the same page
he never explained his reasoning either
be more specific
He has a non-F CPU because Intel IGPs have Quicksync, which works as an encoder and as a hardware accelerator, perfect for streaming and video editing
A lot of people still seem to be confused WHY they NEED the iGPU as a creator. Let me explain why!

As for the CPU cooler, that AK620 beats some AIOs
not to mention the Xe Quicksync encoder beats Nvenc
It does, and it still manages to be quite efficient
I still have yet to see how it handles dynamic range and very fast motion, but itâs definitely a replacement
Nevertheless, I highly recommend you actually know what youâre talking about before you make a claim
You don't need it when you have a 1000 $ graphics card
What the fuck are you talking about
did you not look at the video?
are you the super smart people who actually reccomended ddr5
He doesnât need a damn 3080 when he has the iGPU
hey man, can I borrow your crack, that must be some good shit
Are you the dumbass that didnât even look at how cost effective DDR5 was
He can get a 6900XT or even a 6950XT for the raster performance
well yes, did you not see the bundle?
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/C2C48d/placeholder
And Quicksync for productivity
ah yes, because when top tier DDR5 and a great NVME is cheaper as a bundle than getting decent DDR4 and that ssd
@paper fable ARE YOU THE DUMB ASS WHO believes everything he sees oin youtube without any self thought?
DDR4 is already tested and trialed for ages
what's wrong with the video? are you a video editor?
I've yet to see you provide evidence to the contrary
ok cool and I have others doing their job saying ur bs
also yeah, stain here actually reviews this shit
You cannot possibly tell me that you know more about my field of work than I do
he's the most qualified out of all us here
@paper fable let me know when youwhen you get that arrogant head out ur butt
so are you a video editor/streamer, or no?
answer the question
and tell me when you are good at your job
literally using fallacies @blazing sage
get gud
Let me know when you know what the fuck you are talking about
who the fuck is that
so you're just going to attack people rather than stating your points and backing them up with evidence?
you just pinged some random dude lol
classic discord child
already edited it dumb fuck
sounds like u
so you aren't a streamer/video editor?
do I need to be?
Okay. So first things first, letâs stop the arguing and get back to the build
is that one of the qualifications ?
<@&80773196516700160> user is attacking other users and not contributing to build help in any capacity
@gilded thistle disprove this video
Christ
and are you the smart people who thought temperature is not a crutial issie in pc building?
AK620 can cool a 12900k
Mod read <@&80773196516700160>
hell techpowerup was cooling theirs with a U12A
they are being quite the intellectuals
Okay. So take a chill pill. Back to the issue at hand
I'm just blocking and moving on
If you want to make a doubloe standard and suck each other off you might as well stop now
pathetic
he obviously won't
What reason is there to not get an iGPU
they tend to go away if ignored
so do we mute everyone in the thread or what ?
wtf is this bullshit?
Intelâs Quicksync outperforms NVIDIAâs NVENC, which is extremely useful for both streaming and video editing. Both things he said he wants to do
help or GTFO period
Thanks
There is zero reason to go for an Nvidia GPU over an AMD GPU when AMD GPUs scale better at 4K
I am helping my buddy Freeze and these guys just started insulting me then accusing me of insulting them
you got that part mixed
but yes the 6950xt is a much better GPU at 1440p than a 3080 is
Whatever the AMD GPU wonât do in productivity performance, the Quicksync built into the IGP does
So it maximizes gaming performance while maximizing productivity performance
Wait, since when did QuickSync outperform NVENC?
For video editing, a long time
Since the 11500
For streaming, with the inclusion of 12th Gen
Any good sources on this?
UHD750 still was iffy on streaming, 770 completely changed how itâs done
Quicksync is also more versatile as it supports a wider array of standards
A lot of people still seem to be confused WHY they NEED the iGPU as a creator. Let me explain why!

Intel's new Alder Lake CPUs - especially the Core i9-12900k - unlock a new generational leap in streaming performa...
Towards the end-ish iirc
it's pretty simple
hardware encoding always beats software encoding
after that, it depends what you're doing
This is hardware vs. hardware
if you're trying to encode a stream with the same device pumping out video, it's going to go slower
So Intel just has a better video encoder in their iGPUs than Nvidia does in their high end GPUs?
yes
Yes
welp
Yep
It makes sense though
NVENC still rocks, Quicksync is just scary as hell
the two devices are purpose built for different things
I heard how the newer Nvidia cards had much better encoders, didn't realize Intel was still better
Intel targets productivity first and foremost, then gaming
They still have the same encoder as Turing
Newer Nvidia cards since Pascal all use a similar-ish performance encoder
Meanwhile me on a 1080
Ampere is better than Turing, but not by anything youâll notice
NVENC is going to use just a fraction of the GPU's power
Turing NVENC was what made hardware encoding viable for streaming
because it can't use more for that
NVENC shouldnât use any of the GPUâs power, since itâs entirely separate from the compute die
but Intel improved their quicksync implementation significantly with the Xe based UHD 770
I guess that explains why video editing software has better QuickSync support than NVENC
so did we find middle ground mb iâm at work
oh no that part was intel money
so same build still nothing changed ?
oh ok so I wasn't wrong on that at least
Quicksync on UHD630/730/750 is still nice, but 770 just decided to go brrrrrr
Just to be clear, an Nvidia GPU would absolutely dominate in things like Blender where you're rendering 3d objects or material simulations
I did some streaming on 730 to test, and it wasnât too bad
just not video encoding
@smoky wren from testing myself, Intel hd630 vs a 2080 on highest quality quicksync vs nvenc movie conversions left the nvenc one 200MB smaller but the same visuals for a 2GB movie
Video encoding and decoding is really the only benefits apart from no GPU video acceleration that Intel hd has
That's not a speed thing though that's encoding settings
Ah right.
If I set my x264 preset to VerySlow it's gonna look great but I'll see you in 5 days
its also a older implementation of quicksync
USB wifi adapters are dogshit compared to PCIe ones
and ones that come on mobos
thats not even a good kit of ddr4
@solar pollen we are also considering price as he told me
DDR4 is going to limit him to pretty much MSI motherboards
Because all other board manufacturers are either more expensive, not good, or Gigabyte with shit DDR4 traces
Going DDR5 completely avoids that, while still giving him access to a high end kit of RAM, and 2TB of a fantastic SSD
And still manages to be cost-effective

This video boils down to âDDR5 is expensive and doesnât show a huge differenceâ
But heâs using a lower end kit of DDR5 than in this build, and the point about price doesnât matter when itâs just as cost-effective

buying everything tonight @solar pollen @blazing sage đŤĄ
nice
I hope you enjoy the rig man

Hope you enjoy it, man
PC Builder - Intel Core i7-12700K, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Fractal Design Torrent ATX Mid Tower
this one correct ? @blazing sage @solar pollen @paper fable
Yup
đŽ
Are you trying to order everything off of Amazon?
Some of the things are cheaper elsewhere
am i not supposed to đŽ
CPU and Motherboard from Microcenter
and i go pick up right
It shows what store itâs cheapest in
Those two, yeah pickup
shows me this
Micro Center - Computers and Electronics - Thousands of products to buy: desktops, laptops, monitors, build your own PC parts, upgrades, digital imaging, printing supplies, portable devices, audio equipment, software, video games, movies, tech books, plus repair service, store hours, directions, and employment opportunities.
@paper fable which one is the MOBO i should pair it with
@solar pollen@blazing sage
Z690-A Pro WiFi DDR5
None in stock at your store?
You save a lot more buying from MC than Newegg though, since you get a cheaper CPU

Get it now! ASUS Prime series motherboards are expertly engineered to unleash the full potential of 12th Generation Intel processors. It would be if it was in stock
Open box?
It means someone opened the box when they got it, returned it for whatever reason, retailer or manufacturer fixed anything wrong with it and repackaged it with whatever the first owner left
It's why open box is usually way cheaper
any risk in doing open box
Likely to miss accessories that would normally come with it
Not with Microcenter
so i should proceed
If anything is wrong with it, they'll accept the return
Means you'd have to visually check if you wanted to make sure everything is there
anyway return policy 15 days no questions asked (in terms of whats missing ig)
I'd say so
Dunno
should I do the $137 one
It's best to ask Microcenter directly
alright so should i reserve or just stop by next week
i dont think ill reserve ill just stop by
next week for these 2 parts
Whichever you prefer
alrighty
out of context but @blazing sage @solar pollen how the rbg look and aethestic đ
wait hold up no reviews on this case đ
Lian Li O11 Air Mini ATX Mid Tower Case hb this case boys
@blazing sage or the one u gave me better
ill buy it tomorrow since the boy asleep
O11 Air Mini is fine
@paper fable which one better or it dont matter
Pretty sure everything should be compatible, so whatever you like more
@paper fablePhanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower Case going to go with this one
G360A is nice
Yo
am i supposed to get all 3 ?
or just the blue??
@paper fable
or all 3 circled
me confused
OHH just the custom
right?
omggg hugeee
i was like wait im so confused lmao
that just saved me sm money
thank u
i was literally boutta get al l3 bruh
Lmao
Wait you bought the Z440 and the bundle?
And you got the motherboard and CPU off of Amazon, even though it was like, $100 more
@paper fableno it was the bundle
they just separated it into 2 items
and yeah i didnt wanna make the trip to microcenter i figured i'd just cop it rn
Please tell me itâs the 5000D Airflow lmao
ye @paper fable
5000D Airflow has only 2 fans and iirc theyâre not that good. But it should still be fine though I would probably grab like, a pack of Arctic P12s
you bought it for the new pc?
yeah @blazing sage
also @blazing sage that monitor devil rec is that the one i should buy
i gotta buy fans too
The M27Q-X?
the M27Q-X? me and stain recced it too
it's a fantastic monitor
would be a great upgrade over your two Dell monitors, and the Dell monitors can be secondary
ok yesssir
gonna buy that today as well as my 3 monitor stand plus fans

arctic
well did you want rgb fans? kek
why they bad
iâm new to pc so i like learning :p
the lian li unifans use 90mm blades despite having a 120mm frame
results in poor performance compared to most fans
three of the arctic fans on the front of the case, one in the back
@blazing sage just out of curiosity why ainât yâall recommend liquid cooling
@solar pollen @paper fable
air cooling is a bit cheaper and a lot of cases can't top mount CLC AIOs properly
so i often just go for the AK620 just for convenience
oh i see
figured cus my gpu and cpu liquid is the way to go
but thatâs ok iâm sure itâll b good
if all else fails, you can easily return the ak620 to amazon and buy another cooler

there's a white version too, if you want it to match with your case

I didnât even know they released P12 ARGB whites
silly stain
oh shit you should buy them then, you like white
/s
I actually would
But $50 is $50
stain get intel upgrade so i can steal your mobo smh
I need job smh
same
will setting up everything be easy
assembling and software all that everything compatible righy
The case bought is AIO friendly which is one reason why its better than other cases. Lots of space for liquid cooling options for the long run.
you could've recommended a G360A or something
not something that forces a fan purchase
for a bigger case that's 150-200 bucks, maybe a P500A
silent base 802
meshify 2
or lancool ii mesh c
this one is based
If itâs just budget speakers that donât have to be like, audiophile level, Creative Pebbles work fine
G360A would have limited space for future upgrade and that hardrive storage is taking up room in the case.
The airflow case provides enough room for multiple liquid cooling options in future without worrying too much about space
^
G360A does 360 top and front tho
He doesnât even have an HDD in the list
He can still fit 2 more HDDs, 3 2.5â SSDs, and a couple M.2 SSDs if he really wanted more storage, so the whole hard drive thing doesnât make sense
Yup
G360A wouldâve made a ton more sense
How so?
Literally a storage for hdd on the bottom thats not removable and wastinf space
the G360A isn't overpriced like the 5000D
G360A
-Doesnât require additional fans to be good
-Fits a 360mm rad on top and in front
-isnât overpriced
what's he using that space on the bottom for
you can't bottom mount a rad on the 5000D anyway lol
Battery and wiring
waT?
His PSU? What does that have to do with anything
oh, hiding cables
you already have a ton of space in the G360A to hide cables even with the HDD mount
Yeah I guess each to their own then.
I mean, yeah, itâs a bit too late now
he'd probably have to pay a fee to cancel the 5000D airflow shipment
Why would he?
so eh, he'll enjoy it anyway
Air flow better
Itâs worse, stock
Yes as "stock"
5000D Airflow ships with 2 dogshit fans
I just pretend they are back up and they dont exist lmfao
Big case, big mesh, little flow
imagine paying almost 200 bucks for a case that should realistically sell for about...$120?
$120 sounds about right
If you donât mind having to shove aftermarket fans in it, itâs a nice case
Just⌠paying too much to have to pay more in fans is kinda⌠cringe

oh it shere
@blazing sage@solar pollenquick question why shouldn't i have got 3090 ti
đ
@paper fable
because it has piss poor performance per dollar and is only a bit better than a 3080ti / 6900 xt
vs other GPUs like the rtx 3080 / 3080ti, 6900 xt
are amd gpu fans bad @warm pier

when you plug it in the mobo, it turns on when the PC is on

thatâs what i thought okie thanks
it donât turn on đđ

what would be case of not getting signal for monitors @blazing sage
it could be a lot of things
the pc itself doesn't turn on? no fans spinning or lights?
it turns on
but monitor not getting signal
all rgb fans spinning and lights
@blazing sage
first POST can take a long time, i would give it a few minutes
if anything what would be wrong
itâs working now
so everything works except RBG lights and my wifi band thing donât work
rip
Why are you using your iGPU
Plug your monitor into your GPU, not your motherboard
Also, make sure your GPU drivers are up to date
Do you have your drivers installed?
yes
here let me show you
i just plugged into gpu and it shows that
but when i plug into MOBO i have the 60 Hz option
6950
Once you restart your PC, try again and if you canât see it, try using the AMD software
It could also be a cable issue. Just try to make sure everything is up to date
Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is whatâs used before proper drivers are installed
It could be that the system just needs a restart
No. You wanna go to AMDâs website and update drivers from there
Device Manager will give you windows basic drivers, not the actual drivers you need
iâll send pictures
The drivers you get from there wonât do you any good, you gotta get em from the website
Itâs a 6950XT
iâm dumb my gpu is AMD
@paper fable what other drivers am i missing
other than the AMD (itâs currently downloading right now)
and i have to buy a microsoft key right
yeah itâs still the same
any other drivers i gotta download
