#Smofkey’s Build

Alright, I'm looking for a PC for around 2500 euros here in Belgium (I'd like to use alternate.be, they have most stuff on there though so it's fine) for 1080 gaming, some VR gaming and maybe some video/photo editing.
I was sort of set on getting a 3070TI, but someone made me change my mind cause it would not last very long cause of the 8GB Vram, how it exactly works I don't really know since I'm new)
I'd like to build the pc myself if that isn't too hard for a newbie.
Are you going to be trying to game at higher resolutions down the line or is 1080p going to be what you stick to?
I'll be sticking to 1080 for a good while, probably long enough that when I decide to go up, it'll be time for a new gpu
Also the 40 series releasing had me doubting.
I would actually recommend you something like a 6700 XT then, 30 series cards aren’t really that viable for 1080p past the 3060 Ti
Alright, my monitor is G-Sync which would be a little of a waste but that doesn't matter.
Never really looked at the AMD Cards, I don't know.
Honestly with the level of performance the 6700 XT will put out, you won’t even really need G-Sync
Alright, someone told me the 6800 is a decent pick too.
6800 is harder to get however
And if I chose to go for NVIDIA what would I get?
Don’t go past a 3060 Ti with NVIDIA
and why?
You won’t really see any benefits at 1080p due to how ampere’s architecture works, it’s designed for higher resolutions
Alright, also not in video editing?
Fuck this bot
Part 2 coming below this text
Here’s a list I made with editing and gaming in mind
alright, im in a game of valorant rn, ill check in an hour or smth
thanks!
Should I be looking at the 40 series you think?
or will those be way overpriced in the beginning?
Don’t bother looking at 40 series until a year after release
Pricing and they won’t release the whole product stack immediately
truth btw, you'd usually be cpu limited in esports titles at 1080p anyways
lmao wrong reply
need optimal performance for the bloons td battles league
3090 TI just to play toons td kek
@waxen ingot Sorry for the ping but is there any reasoning for picking that ram specifically?
no real reason other than it's cheap and meets the requirement of DDR4-3200 CL16-18-18 and is 2x8GB
