How do I clear my CMOS?
  1. If your system is on, shut it down.
  2. Unplug your system from the wall.
  3. Open your system and locate the watch battery on your motherboard. It may be located under your GPU. If this is the case, remove your GPU to get to the CMOS battery.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge any remaining power in your system.
  6. Reinsert the watch battery, and the GPU if you removed it.
  7. Plug your system back into the wall and turn it on.

Note: Your motherboard manual will have specific instructions on how to clear your CMOS. You can find your manual online on the same product page under "Manuals."

that probably won't work though

#

but you could try

#

?paperclip

PAPERCLIP

The paperclip test is used to force a power supply to turn on through the same method that the motherboard does. This is done by bridging the PS_ON terminal to a ground terminal in the ATX 24 Pin connector (See diagram below). Some power supplies require having some form of load on the power supply, such as a fan to power on. Corsair also has a tutorial on how to conduct this at https://youtu.be/5FWXgQSokF4 .

scenic salmon
#

to see if it's your power supply

buoyant frigate
#

given its a fresh build CMOS wouldnt seem to be the issue. Maybe unflashed mobo.

raw barn
#

Idk dude

#

I guess I’m going to Best Buy lol

buoyant frigate
#

what CPU is it

scenic salmon
#

or you could troubleshoot at home

raw barn
#

Ryzen 5 5600x

#

Yeah but idk what I’m doing

buoyant frigate
#

and a B550 Tomohawk
MSI?

raw barn
#

Yeah

buoyant frigate
#

you may need to flash the bios

raw barn
#

Would that make the whole pc not start

buoyant frigate
#

could do Im not entirely sure
