My laptop is pretty lightweight so it is not very preformant, so I plug into my external RTX 3070 when I need to do 3d modeling / gaming

no I don't have a traditional desktop, just the laptop

it plugs into the external GPU on the right via a thunderbolt cable

so in a way its partly a tower, only containing the GPU, PSU and thunderbolt to PCIe controller.
