#NVIDIA at Computex 2024
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Computex officially begins on the 4th, but NVIDIA made a bunch of announcements today, which I'll be able to see live in the next few days (and share here as well).
The main ones:
- AI Gaming assistant that can overclock/undervolt, change settings, suggest improvements.
- "SFF-Ready" certification for GPU and Case pairings.
- DLSS 3.5, RTX Remix and AV1 Recording.
I never figured I would find myself saying this, but I feel like Intel is our only hope at this point.
The green goblin’s products are just too unobtainable for honest hardworking folks.

AV1 recording is big, about fuckin time
I don't like Shadowplay myself, but it's nice to see them support their actual feature suite in their own software
And not be limited to the same shit they've been doing since Maxwell
We've had DLSS 3.5 in games since September 2023

In fact. Nvidia recently released the SDK for DLSS 3.7
This announcement was basically saying star wars outlaws will come with DLSS 3.5
What is sdk?
Nvm
Have they even said anything about gaming or are they still harping on about ai bs
As of now, you guessed it
I mean if ai bring big gains in gaming again I’d happily take it
Damn that sucks
I watched a bit of amd’s one and even they were just talking and talking and talking about ai
Me and my friends were talking about taking a shot every time they mentioned AI in the AMD presentation, but we quickly realized we would actually die
We stopped watching for like 20m to look at memes, and when we came back, they were still talking about some other AI shit
Sounds like a good time.
You shoulda gone through with it
Idk if im the only one not liking this AI trend in gaming, because if this carries on happening wont it be such that we are purchasing software rather than hardware? Especially if developers become reliant on these features
Forgive me if i sound extremely uneducated
the autograph was crazy lol
The autograph?
If you go to their suites, sure
Palit I believe also had it in their booth.
They're a really close partner to nvidia
i see
what about pny?
from what ive seen from them theyre also working very tightly with nvidia
the green is venom
pcmr colors ought to be there
thats cool can we do that at home or nah?
yeah, shouldn't take long. It's basically stable diffusion and a few sprinkly nvidia dust here and there
Honestly you could likely hard code gpu oc it’s pretty easy and give it an hour to self test vram regression, core stability and have the program keep an eye on the temps to dial down vram oc if needed and be smart enough on the core to cap voltage but keep the offset so the gpu still runs more efficiently. And ofc not all games have the same tolerance to oc so the program could always keep on it and dial down for all games or maybe just for that game/workload. I honestly don’t see how that would be too hard especially if the ai says hey the first hour of gameplay may not be rock solid we’re tweaking the oc. 60MHz (multiple of 15 very good tho) offset is very conservative tho, we know why, but I don’t want people that simply don’t know to think ohhh I’m overclocked now 😎 and that’s the end of it when in its current version there’s some room left on the table. Ofc nvidia could remove that room on the table imo a gpu is either factory stable, stable oc (100hrs+ in between stutters) or not and the line isn’t thin. What I’m wondering is warranty with this auto overclocking technically if the program only touches positive core offsets/undervolts the card is safe and imo you should be able to keep warranty.
Jesus nobody reading all that
I actually reread myself once
Ok nobody else
Cool
cool stuff
hoist the colors and set sail mateys its gaming time full sail ahead
equivalent of voice activated assistant
I kinda want one where it’ll act like Siri of sorts
Ur just gaming and you could just say like “hey ai how do you do this?” And it would put a popup in a selected part of ur screen
Kinda like Jarvis
Yeah, I don't think it would affect warranty.
That’d be a power move from Nvidia, « our ai is safe »
haha
SFF-Ready is simple but can be kinda helpful.
Most companies don’t enforce it much but if it’s said in writing it’s safe that’s a new standard
It was really interesting to test the AI NPC Tech demo. This could be a great tool in the right hands.

Wait wdym
Did amd void warranty for it?
For what?
Wait no like you did how nvidia basically said “out ai is safe” right
That implies that other companies’ ai isn’t right? Or am I just over analyzing
I don’t know if amd has one
I’m only implying it’s safe as Pedro thinks it won’t affect warranty
