just turning this to a thread
can you run me through all of the troulble shooting steps so far you have tried
i turned my pc on after a month of not using it; my main screen (VG249Q1R) started glitching and flickering , the second monitor is fine
i tried changing the cable to hdmi
i tried changing the display gpu from my 2060 to my VEGA 11
i smacked it a couple times
i replugged the dp and changed from 165 to 144hz
good start
it fixed it for like 5 mins then the issue started again
i have both installed nvidia and radeon
can you open up the radion software and make it full screen and se if the flickering percists
from what i have read online, decreasing refresh rate will tempo fix the issue, but it keeps going down until even the 60 fps has that issue
where do i plug the monitor
Hello guys, in this video, i am explaining that how toreset all settings in asus tuf gaming monitor

try on both gpu and mobo
this didnnt do anything
trying the radeon stuff
both radeon in mobo and gpu did nothin
im convinced its a hardware issue
im willing to open up the pqnel to see whqts wrong
unfortunately that is what it sounds like you could try re install drivers first
!ddu
DDU allows you to fully uninstall GPU and audio drivers, beyond what the first-party tools will do. This helps the troubleshooting process greatly. To use it:
- Download DDU from Guru3D. Scroll down to the bottom and select a Download Mirror close to you. Do not start DDU yet.
- Download the latest driver for your GPU from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel.
- Boot Windows into Safe Mode. To do so, open the Start menu, click the Power option. Click Restart while holding Shift (and keep holding it). You should arrive at a blue screen with multiple options.
- From there, click Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings, and click on Restart. Press 4 to boot into Safe Mode.
- While in Safe Mode, run DDU and click on Clean and Restart.
- Install the driver you downloaded earlier.
if it were drivers wouldnt thqt qffect my second monitor also ?
maby but its a fairly easy trouble shooting step
my downloqd speeds qrent the best rn so this coult take some time
nvidia drivers are big
nah should not take long at all
that is unfortunate
sounds like a hardware issue as you said if it is under warranty i would recommend to go that rout but if not and you want to give fixing it yourself a go be careful and i suspect it is a ribbon cable that is loose
not only is it not under warranaty cuz i got it from a reseller, i also live in a country that only imports screens, so in order to fix it it has to be shipped out
im more interested in that ribbon cable you mentionned
