These custom controllers I whipped up based on some open source community projects at SRGBmods.net

They use a teensy to control up to 24 headers

#

Each can handle 500 LEDs at full brightness easily at 30+ FPS

I made a bunch of them lol

All hand soldered

If we assume the LEDs are WS2182Bs, that's 60mA power draw per LED at full white. 18 LEDs per fan, 1080mA per fan (minus motor). 192 fans, 207360mA for the wall. 207A@5V 1035 watts.

We used mining fan controllers that just plugged into molex

A single laptop using a powered usb hub can run the wall
