Hi fellow masterracers, this is my current setup:

MBD: Gigabyte GA-B450 AORUS ELITE
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: AMD RX 5600-XT
SSD: Kingston A400 480GB
SSD: SABRENT 1TB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB (2016)
RAM: Kingston KHX3200C16D4/8GX KF3200C16D4/8GX KHX3200C16DD/88X KF3200C16D4/8GX 32GB
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G3

I'm looking forward to do THE update for 2k gaming to my PC and looking for some suggestions to plan accordingly. I wouldn't mind switching to Intel/Nvidia setups. Thanks a bunch in advance!

very cool setup here

chilly valve
#

what's your budget?

ivory hamlet
#

yeah actually just say budget first

chilly valve
#

and im assuming the pc will be used for gaming?

noble shoal
#

Yes, gaming purpose. I dunno, maybe €1000?

#

I'm open to ideas lol

ivory hamlet
#

1000 euros in which country

chilly valve
#

country?

noble shoal
chilly valve
#

I can make you a whole new build for 1000 euros

#

to be honest

ivory hamlet
#

he doesnt need a whole new build

chilly valve
#

so just upgrades?

noble shoal
#

Yes, MBD/CPU/GPU

ivory hamlet
#

The cheapest route would be to just go for an R5 5600 and a 6700XT/6800XT or equivalent

chilly valve
#

if you want a lot of gaming power you can go 5800X3D

ivory hamlet
#

That'd be capable of 1440p

chilly valve
#

but it's an expensive af cpu

ivory hamlet
chilly valve
#

why not bruh

#

they have a B450 chipset which should work fine

ivory hamlet
chilly valve
#

overpriced?

#

yea thought so

#

it is...

ivory hamlet
#

If 5800X3D is on the table I'd rather go for 7600, DDR5 and B650

chilly valve
#

you can go 5700X and overclock it to beat the 5800x, that cpu is around 200 euros

#

thats an option

#

but maybe they don't wanna get into overclocking, a lot of people dont

noble shoal
#

An Intel/Nvidia combo you would suggest instead?

chilly valve
#

for gaming amd is better

#

if you do productivity then intel is a bit better

#

also pairing intel + nvidia and amd + amd is pointless, every cpu works with every gpu

#

I use amd + nvidia and I know people who use intel + amd cards, everything works fine

#

@ivory hamlet any ideas of what would be the best for them? I would say the 5600 is probably a better value option + 6000 or 7000 series amd gpu

chilly valve
#

yea that

#

cheapest option, but not the best option

#

that's why I suggested the other stuff

#

I said the 5600 is better value but that doesnt mean its the best choice
