What details should I provide for build recommendations?

When you are asking for a build recommendation, it is critical to include

  • Your budget, currency, and country
  • The purpose of the build such as gaming, video editing, research, office productivity, etc
    • Be sure to include specifics such as the games or software used
  • When you plan on purchasing the system
  • Be sure to include if you need peripherals, monitors and their resolution, and/or wifi/bluetooth connectivity.
  • Any aesthetic preferences or themes you may want such as RGB or no RGB, black or white, etc.

  1. Not sure I really have one but if i had to choose, i'd say 1000-1200. currently 700 dollars made from youtube revenue and im in canada.
  2. Gaming, Video Editing, 3D modelling, Game Production, Animation, etc. Programs can be Godot, Blender, DaVinci, Photoshop, and other stuff
  3. Any time really. Not that much of a hurry.
  4. I have an ok monitor, 1080p 60hz, but a balance of a cheap and good 144hz would be great.
  5. RGB looks cool, but its more expensive so I would use it only as a last resourt, but basically no unless i have to.

I like to do heavy work in blender, sometimes i do the cycles rendering engine (path tracing) which takes a really long time to render frames. though mostly i do eevee if there isnt a clear difference.

#

for games I prefer performance over quality, but i dont want the quality to be too bad for my liking, say like PS3 type graphics.

#

I'd like black components. i dont want white ones as they would probably distract me from their brightness.

First of all, thank you for the detailed answer.

That happens like 1% of the time.

Do you care about form factor?

#

ATX, mATX, or ITX
