what format do your vm images come with?
opening a thread here to not litter the main channel
They come in a folder with vmdk's
There is always a vmx though which is what VMware sees
so not a packaged vm
Nah not packaged
like an ova
bc vbox can do ova files
i'm currently converting to qcow2 and will see what happens
the important file here is the main Windows 10.vmdk
yeah
if its single file then ez
this is virtualbox booting a single vmdk file with no tinkering whatsoever
nice
i did an idiotic mistake of booting virtualbox while still converting to qcow so i have to start over
interesting, i think i found a way to convert ovf files to a format qemu can understand
isnt ovf an archive?
i can just use vmware to convert it to an ovf then convert it into a qemu format and run it
you may also send the link for the vm and i'll try converting
i have some spare time
you too
its on a private nas
and its ~170Gb
so i dont really feel like uploading it anywhere cause my internets bad haha
lmao understandable
virt-manager also managing after converting to qcow2
