On the contrary, Zapdos' shiny feels more like the definitive Zapdos' coloration to me. Normal Zapdos looks weirdly pale in comparison, while the shiny is a more vibrant yellow, if that makes sense.

Am I crazy to just absolutely hate the new shiny system? Like yeah im glad I got the greninja line but the entire reason why im opening extradementional crisis is to get a second immersive buzzwole so that i can move on and focus on the immersives from lunala and solgaleo. I feel like if they’re gonna add shinies they shouldn’t add useless ones like these. With all the shinies I got from this expansion I would’ve probably already pulled the buzzwole 😭

Yeah... so far the only "actually worth using" Shinies I have are Aerodactyl EX, which I use in my Fighting type "EX Slayer" deck, and Celebi EX, since it's a shiny of an already pretty good card. The fact that they are both my favorite color has nothing to do with my preference. (but it certainly does help!)

Literally the only shinies I can use are the greninja line (not counting ones from shining revelry which are actual new cards). Like shiny greninja is awesome, I love its shiny. And I’ve surprisingly got 2 of each of its line. But i’d honestly trade it for things im actually fishing for tbh. I’ve yet to even try a greninja deck even though ik they’re very good

The production team gave an art reference to one of their commissioned artist to polish up for them. The referenced material must of been fan-art or similar. I've seen some comments elsewhere, where individuals have named an artist for plagiarism but this wasn't the illustrators decision to use the art material for reference.

I believe the plagiarism was that the artist for the immersive art was given a piece of Ho-Oh fan art for reference, but the artist just outright traced it instead.

Are we all sure this isn't just a "Simpsons did it" situation being blown out of proportion? There's only so many unique poses you can do with Lugia and Ho-oh, and flying/levitating with wings spread is the default for them both.

Not to mention the idea of Lugia curling the ends of its wings like claws.

Has there ever been art of Ho-oh where it's wings WEREN'T spread out in a crescent shape? Can't really lay claim on that.

Ho-oh and Lugia immersive combines into 1 design. So it wouldn’t make sense to keep the same lugia art and have the immersive not make sense. So they’re just gonna me completely different art that has them both combined again

Since you bring that up, it makes sense they would have connecting art, since it seems Lugia EX and Ho-oh EX were made to synergize together. Ho-oh supplying Lugia with the energy he needs to use his attack. Both being able to be slotted in any deck due to Ho-oh not needing a specific energy type for his attack.

Tell me about it! The only reason why I haven't deleted the whole game entirely was it finally gave me a shiny ponyta! I've hunted I've tried every hatching method in the book! I could never get a Shiny Ponyta. And when I saw on the bulletin board a pony of a different color I thought it meant that it was going to be an alpha because of the red eyes. Instead I see the most beautiful blue mane little filly in the world!

I definitely want to play it but I'm no good and I'm terrified to see what Za new battle mechanic I already hate battling in the normal games this looks like it's going to be next to Impossible!

@little prism simply put I'm a collector. I like collecting things whether it be toys or Pokemon of my favorite type such as Ponyta or Absol. In fact I like catching them and I'm always nervous about bringing down their health it's just battling with NPCs and other players that annoys me to no end as that's not what brings me joy in the game what brings me joy is finding that shiny or finding the specific Pokemon with the best stats. Does that explain it? Sorry if it's confusing

That's why my top favorite games is actually Pokemon go and Pokemon Snap because I can catch (or take pictures) of all the Pokemon I ever want and don't have to worry about battling, (as a consequence I'll forever be a level 43😭) but I am at peace with that, because I'm still able to play the game without being blocked by a level

usually the recommended rent builds will do the trick at any difficulty (sometimes it will fail because poor draws among other things)
or you can just build your own deck of any type - colorless probably is best if you don't want to keep re-making new ones for new events - that is super aggro to end games quick before the opposing ai can build up to the point where it jus tkeeps sweeping you

that's what I did anyways so I don't have to bother selecting new decks for new event solos

unless you're new just pick what you want depending on what you like/want.
you can see what each booster can give by selecting the bottom left button which tells you rarity/pull chances.

if you're new it's probably best to pull the newer boosters first though.

I honestly like Ho-oh, for a non-colorless type, it can be fitted nicely into a bunch of decks due to not needing any specific energies. And it supplies energies of three different types with its attack, which means "Oh boy- I get to do the DUMB type combos now~!"

I’m happy about the “new” expansion. I can finally collect cards that otherwise I’d have to trade. Should I activate my premium trial too so I can get 3 packs per day + promo cards? When should I activate it to get this promo and the next one too?

If you're going to go premium I do it now, they're removing the one promo card and replacing it with something else I think it's tomorrow.
