Love the aspect, I don't think barb triggers overpower all that much so might want to switch the secondary bonus out to see if you can get increased damage to healthy enemies? Especially if you use death blow like I did in the early access.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Necromancer players would sometimes be stuck at the character selection screen.
Fixed an issue where control inputs would stop responding when a player teleports or zones in and out of a dungeon.
Fixed a graphical issue where black textures would flash after teleporting into specific towns.

Nice if they fixed the loss of input. Though I could swear it happened even without porting, but I might have transitioned from a zone

Speaking of barb, id like to apologize to fortify for thinking it was useless for so long and sleeping on it. Turns out its really good after i respeced into it. I stand by it being kind of booty early on though

Oh yea, random wholesome PvP happened the other day. Started going back and forth with this druid on killing eachother then we ended up just leaving our shards on the ground and had an impromptu fight club lol if people interrupted we kill em and add their shards to the pile. Ended up spliting them down the middle then partied up for sigils the rest of the night

Was a lot of fun, but doesnt fuel me quite as well as when people decide to whisper me about how bad i am at the game when i kill them

That's sick. I also couldn't settle on a 2 1h build for that unique 1h sword i found that drains your fury so I just swapped my hota build from 2 maces to swords so my basics generation does more damage before the big bonk

I had to redo my board, I didnt know it was as simple as making a line of nodes to a destination. I kept picking ones that sounded good for dmg and my husband was like "your not playing bingo!" I kinda had only the starting board and second one, and second special board was mostly full LOL

There might be a parallel, but perhaps that's more like the Dragoons in StarCraft. Blizzard wanted to make games in the GW universe, but were denied the license back in the 90s. And some of their units are a bit similar due to that

Barbarian nerfs were mainly due to people in hardcore reaching lvl 100 way to fast for the race.
Some people were quite ahead with other classes and barbarians were able to just go through and pass them without much effort.

Babas are more tanky than sorcs, but it's always hard to find a good balance. Sorcs are ranged and should try not to get hit, but should melee have the same damage output if they can stand in things and not die? It was a big issue in WoW as well. If tank classes were able to outdps the glass cannon classes, why would anyone bring pure dps? They changed it by adding more utility and mechanics to the game.

The ice shot seems to be the main build for sorc dps atm, and it requires some decent vulnerability/damage boost stacking

Ok, Geegoids... Just got my Key Passive for Rogue unlocked. Any specific ones that you'd recommend?

Mainly a Puncture/Flurry Build with Shadow Imbuement, Dark Shroud, and Caltrops. I have legendary gear that increases my imbuement and Flurry hits all enemies in a circle then infront of me.

Important to note, if you get "slay all enemies"... you don't have to slay all enemies as the small ones will port to you after a while (I didn't know that for quite a while, which made me put e.g. guulrahn into f tier 😅 )

Btw I assume it's for exp farming? Because there is quite a bit of difference for xp vs glyph farming.

There are some caveats here

First: We evaluated this based entirely on solo play. People who play in groups may view these maps slightly differently.

Second: We evaluated maps primarily with:

Density of the map -- both overall mob density and density of elite packs

Map layout -- how straightforward it was or easy to navigate vs likelihood to backtrack

Objectives -- Kill all enemies or kill constructs (eyes, idols, etc) were typically better to run than objectives like "Free 7 Prisoners". FYI here, some people don't seem to understand kill all enemies. If you leave stragglers behind, they *will* get sucked forward into another pack. We reproduced this time and again with it only bugging out once across several dozen maps.

Presence of an Intermission: this is that single square room between sections where you have to do things like survive or kill all enemies -- we generally rated this harshly because these sections drop NO loot and give NO XP

Mob types: In general we found maps with Penitant, Spiders, and Spider Hosts/Zombies had great density. Meanwhile, we rated maps that had ghosts (the red ones) fairly harshly because not only was density not great, these mobs were also extremely obnoxious to deal with.

Note also that we balanced ability to XP farm with loot drops... meaning that a map needed to be relatively easy to farm with great density and a simple layout.

If your goal is rushing to completion for Glyph progress, some of these rankings will change. Lost Archives for example is listed as D tier because of it's terrible density. However, it's a relatively short map. Someone rushing glyph progress may view this as a benefit.

Lastly -- all maps were run around level 50 nightmare tier, give or take a few levels.

(We noticed after the fact that we left Shivta + Dark Ravine off the graphic by mistake. Shivta is C Tier and Dark Ravine is F tier... Zenith and Maulwood we still need more runs on)```

I don't think kill all enemies works quite that well, it feels like you still have to kill parts of the groups (but tbh I didn't test this, so take it with a grain of salt, then again they also say "stragglers" which implies it's not whole groups that are teleported). I highly disagree with their tier list, I'd rather run an infinite amount of dungs with red ghosts than ones with snakes. I also feel dungeons without an actual end boss are inherently worth more both for farming glyph exp and for legendary/unique farming because you either get way more loot or they go way faster

Whether or not a boss is good depends both on the boss and on your build, some non boss qs are also atrocious for some builds (I'm thinking of the obstacle elites, that just sit there or some where you have to run around the map like 5 times)

(Some bosses are also nice to stagger which make the fight relatively easy, again depending on build)

Locations you have discovered and statues you have already claimed in eternal will remain discovered and claimed and you'll just have that renown. Same for the capital city waypoints

Dungeons and quests get reset fully so you can still get renown form completing them

Seems like a good middle ground. Its not a real reset like a standard season has been, but they will respect your time by not making you follow a a guide for 3 hours getting statues everytime and rediscover the map

I have come to propose that the Undead Slaying elixir makes the Man-Slaying elixir superfluous, as all humans contain skeletons and additional damage to said skeletons is equally ruinous to the body they inhabit

Truthfully, you could say that as it's Undead Slaying and not "skeleton slaying" it is, in fact, imparting its effects on the necromantic energies that keep undead functioning and as such wouldn't impact living skeletons.....but the original logic is more amusing :p

nightmare dungeons vary depending on the tier you're attempting

but lets just say, certain tiers dungeons are very unforgiving + you have a limited amount of deaths

worse comes to worst, if you're struggling with teh capstone to get to t4, just let any of us know and we'll help carry you through it

Can't speak on necros specifically, but enemies don't get oneshot after a certain point (usually into T3/T4). Keeping your weapon up to level is huge for your DPS. And stacking increased damage from vulnerabilities/status effects is also essential to do good damage.

Mine is all Shadow and Pets. Decompose as the primary, mainly for corpse generation and to boost damage to a specific target. Blight for AoE and to afflict slow/some other effects. Then iron maiden for damage mit and stun. Unearth ult to restore all my minions when things get iffy. Then I just have the pets sepcced out to do increased damage when the enemy is under various effects which they're now always under. Steel golumn for the Vuln slam.

Main downside: uniques are for like literally every other build. I have bone spec uniques, blood spec uniques, I haven't seen a thing for shadow/minion spec so far

I shifted to bone spear from blight corpse explosion at lvl 50 going into t3 has worked well so far, just transitioned to bone spirit cause the blood artisans curaiss dropped for me

I play exclusively with controller. If you're not picky about placement of things, it's amazing. Easily best controller UI I've used for an ARPG as it's not just vaguely grafted on mouse emulation.

I am not sure about other classes, but as a Barb, if you have Temerity unique pants, use Imbiber rare Glyph (extra damage if you are healthy which the pants will help with). You should notice almost doubling of your damage output

I tried one of those "exploits", but resetting a nightmare's dungeon monsters without finishing does not make my glyphs stronger. I also keep finding out I need to use different glyphs and then have to level those up. I hoping to be done with glyphs by level 100. Thought I have learned the best xp is nightmare at you level+3

I didn't mind glyphs until i saw that the socket I put one in doesn't even have enough willpower nodes for the bonus stat until after i upgrade the range

That's part of the point though. You have to grind them to free up paragon nodes and get stronger, but it's endgame content.

I like that you can unlock the base glyph easily, but the small power increase to 'perfect' your character keeps you grinding

I see. The ones I've socketed have usually had a way to get 25 of each stat in the starting radius, but I have encountered some that only give 20 or so as well. I feel like that board had an easier route between the glyph and rare nodes though, but would be nice if you could activate the bonus in every glyph socket

What I really want is the ability to save a build profile to make build testing a lot smoother. It would also be nice to hot swap between builds for what ever situation may arise. (skill tree, paragon boards, current equipped armor)

It would be awesome to have a couple different builds made up and be able to switch to them on a moments notice. Like being able to swap from a solo build focusing around survivability to something more focused on CC or DPS to benefit the group you're joining or a specific nightmare dungeon you're entering

On the topic of alternate builds, world scaling kills that for me really hard. You need to be able to swap fully into high rolls and current level gear or you're just toast currently. In 3 and poe you swap builds you drop from t16 or whatever back down to t5 for a bit so you can actually grind for the gear at an appropriate power level

I agree, The time and the COST to change builds around is too great. I look at one person's build release I have to change all my paragon builds and half my equipment to try it out. Then try it out realize it needs set and not extra defense the other build had just to change back.

I like to use my gold for affix changes. I always come across rare items that I look at that I just missing one thing and I try rerolling it.

Thinking I want to give that uber lilith a try. If a different thought, I am not sure if I said this, but check the vendors when you sell stuff some times they have good stuff. My current 814 Item power hammer came from a vender. Almost max rolls on Vul, Crit and Close damage, Rolled into Str for last stat then just added a max Ancestral Force

They all looked legit, comments were debating both. Legit or not is the same end result though really, barb was hit hard in response to an exploit and can not perform in an even remotely similar way on the pinnacle boss when compared to every other class

I can potentially find out why they did it that way, but most likely it has something to do with triggering the dungeon generation from the portal on the world map and not being able to (easily at least) get that working from the item. Having the items just teleport your to x,y coordinates would be a quicker fix
