#2 Problems: Seems like I am getting Unstable FPS when Recording, and Blur Recording not Looking Good
42 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
btw my obs settings don't say "encoding overload" but something just seems off
my settings
what i've found out is that, when i record in OBS using 60 fps, then I use flowframes to interpolate AND THEN use blur, it seems to be doing the job, but when I record in OBS using 120 fps and then I put it through blur, I get many ghosting frames, and no blur and no smoothness, even in the raw video
so i guess im having a problem with recording in OBS at 120fps
weird
put ur process priority to high
and maybe try lowering ur settings
since youre struggling with performance
Set multipass mode to single pass and set preset to p1
Then try 120 fps
if its gonna ruin my quality ill just stick to 60 fps lol
It will not do anything to your quality
k ill try
Your files will be a bit bigger but that’s it
ok
is it gonna be good to use for youtube
sorry lol my nvidia app is bugging and my only option right now to record videos is OBS
It doesn’t matter since you’re doing things to the file afterwards
k
when i record it doesnt look smooth at 120, seems like my frames are getting skipped
!statsdock
In order for you to make sure OBS does not lag while it's recording, you should make the Stats Dock shown, just like this:
It is prefered to have a second monitor so you are able to see how it's doing without having to alt tab (by having OBS on your second monitor)
It is normal to get a few dozens of skipped frames when alt tabbing

Check if they are
Send a screenshot of the stats dock
like if i compare to my past nvidia app recordings at 120fps, they look smoother
i reset but recorded like 10 secs of foootage and thats after i recorded the 10 sec
Probably an issue with your media player
Use mpv net (it’s on github)
Render it all out if you have doubts
well
youtube will look bad if you dont get vp09 codec
the way to get vp09 is to upload in 1440p/4k
you can use ctt upscaler to upscale it to 4k
already tried doesnt work
still the same
