@STAFF SOME1 HELP
Are you trying to dual boot windows and Ubuntu on the same disk or are they on different disks?
yes same disk
yes same disk
and no i dont want to reinstall ubuntu
and I have 1 usb
you have ubuntu installed already?
ah ok
then just go to gparted and shrink the /home volume and leave however much you want for your windows install as unallocated space
fr
what
i cant click on rezize
send ss
oh you only have a 128 gb drive
i dont recommend you dual boot with that
i dont even think you can
ive done it before
and it was alright
but that was a while ago
and i dont need alot from windows
just like 2 programs
idk
you set the new size lower than the used size of that partition
thats why it didnt let you resize
set the new size to 50 gb
that will leave you with 60 gb for windows
did
worked?
no
damn
yes
ok
The drive youre resizing cannot be mounted
Use a live session to do it
Backup data
oh yeah ur right
How to make partition?
Just enter the new size as 40 or 50 gh
using gparted
That will automatically leave the rest of the space as unallocated
I want to download atlas os
Yeah using the live usb of gparted
so 50g for windows or ubuntu?
Not the app
Ubuntu
yes booting from usb
Yep
👍🏾
go to gparted
then rezize to 50g
and that 50g will be for ubuntu
and 30g for windows
I just wanna try atlas os
But 30g is already allocated to my original ubuntu installtion
36g to be exact
Yeah that 50 gb is part of that
The 36 gb of the Ubuntu installation is going to be contained within that 50 gh partition
Windows itself takes about 30 im p sure
Nah u need 60 or else windows wont work
im gonna use atlas os
its lightwieght asf
But you still need to install stock windows first before you apply the atlas playbook
Lol
lol
but i will be using the stock windows for like an hour 💀

40g for windows
and 70 for linux
which means 40g free 😄
i still do have windows 11 on my pc
its hidden somewhere
but its a custom version called tiny 11
u think it'll work
?
i didnt set a dual boot
but if i go to my boot menu by clicking esc and then f9 it is there
@cyan shell
I think its cuz u forgot to delete the efi partition while deleting the OS
i have alot of oses
So it shows up in your boot menu even after u delete it
I c
Will it overide my ubuntu?
I honestly don't understand your situation right now
wdym?
By deleting it or by selecting that as an option?
I previously installed tiny 11
and i didnt like it
so i installed ubuntu
but when i got to my boot menu
its still there im sure
so im asking
will i be able to use that to install atlas
Did you delete tiny11?
i replaced it with ubuntu 23.04
Yeah so basically your tiny11 installation doesnt exist but your boot manager thinks it does because you didnt delete its efi partition
If you select it nothing will happen
Yep
