I had his problem for some time and I still can't fix it, everytime I try to put a clip in blur, the result comes out with ghosting frames and does not look smooth at all.

#

i can provide the entire clip if asked

#

and my obs and blur settings

#

i forgot to actually

#

how do i fix it tho because i think i had some

You can find a list of all common encoding lag problems @ #898176183710130176

okay ill make a vid like 10 seconds

impossible

merry bay
#

no you add stats dock and begin recording your gameplay like usually

night shale
#

i used to think i was smart

merry bay
#

you need to have actual gameplay

#

so that you can see real stats

#

look for frames missed due to encoding lag field

Triple check these settings:
dotSet preset to Max Performance if you're recording in high FPS

  • dont have that option
dot Only use one audio track when recording high FPS (you can lower settings to minimum if you do not use audio). This can also cause Stopping recording.. to hang forever
-I only have my mic and what I use to capture in game audio
dotIn the Video tab make sure Base (Canvas) Resolution is the same as Output (Scaled) Resolution, if for any reason you need to do some scaling while recording, you can do it later.
-I dont have the scaling option as my resolution matches
dotOn recent NVIDIA GPU it is worth testing putting Profile to Baseline (greatly increased filesize but better encoding performance)
    -I will try.
dotMake sure color format is NV12 in the Advanced | 🛠️ tab
    -I have it.
    :iconMessageChecked: You should always:
dotMonitor it with the Stats dock, learn more about it in Layout | 🔲
dotRun OBS as admin to let OBS set higher GPU priority, learn how to do it in Layout | 🔲
-Question, should I set high gpu priority?
dotRecord on an SSD because high fps records are bitrate hungry
dotNever use Movies & TV to play back your videos, consider MPV
    tweaking You can try:
dotDisabling Preview (right click preview -> untick Enable Preview, consider setting up your Hotkeys | 🎹 )
dotTry changing Window's game mode (it may increase/decrease stability depending on hadware and Windows build)
dotTurning on Smooth FPS in Minecraft (lowers FPS a bit but halves Minecraft's GPU utilization) (Options->Video Settings->Performance->Smooth FPS: ON)
    -turned off

i tried to answer some

#

okay i will play a game of bedwars while recording

#

i will try 240 fps

#

obs settings

#

z1xus i think i lost the blur config that you gave me before

#

i tried to experiment and i think i changed it

merry bay
vapid hornet
#

thanks

#

finished recording

merry bay
#

looking good

vapid hornet
#

yea i changed some settings

#

also i kept priority at high

merry bay
#

what about the renders

vapid hornet
#

this one

vapid hornet
#

oh

#

i forgot to put obs as admin

#

is that bad

merry bay
#

should be alright

merry bay
vapid hornet
#

what renders

merry bay
#

the videos you process with blur

vapid hornet
#

yea i changed it

#

to what you gave me

#

do i remux the video

#

to mp4

#

or keep it at mkv

merry bay
#

i think there will be no difference

vapid hornet
#

pretty sure blur changes it

#

yea i dont think that matters

vapid hornet
#

umm yea

#
  1. it doesn't look smooth
  2. when I move the camera theres like barely any blur
vapid hornet
#

oh well

vapid hornet
#

tried psycho visual tuning with 360fps

#

little blur

vapid hornet
# vapid hornet

@merry bay sorry to ping but do you have any solution with this exact problem where theres barely any blur like this?

merry bay
#

as i mentioned earlier, you can play around with your weighting, but we discovered that equal causes even more ghost frames for you

vapid hornet
#

how do i prevent it then i did everything the guide told me

#

:/

vapid hornet
#

@merry bay what if I try flaw’s render settings

#

if you know who that is

merry bay
#

try

#

recently saw him for the first time

vapid hornet
#

same i saw him in the support page

#

his renders look nice

vapid hornet
#

umm yea

#

you were right about the ghosting frames with equal

vapid hornet
#

for me i always have them no matter what blur weighting!

#

how do i fix this man

#

kinda frustrating 😔

merry bay
#

one more time

#

you are recording 360 fps

#

and getting no encoding lag

#

oh

#

try interpolating to 2160 or 1440 instead of 2400

#

try using deduplicate: true

shut kindle
#

why are you sending pictures

#

send videos please

merry bay
vapid hornet
#

ill try 240 then

#

i think 360 gives me encoding lag

#

240 theres barely

merry bay
#

yeah but when recording 360 do not interpolate to 2400, because its not dividable

vapid hornet
#

okay

#

oh yea

#

i missed some settings

#

smooth fps

#

is p1 the slowest in obs?

#

or the fastest

vapid hornet
vapid hornet
#

okay im back from school

#

@merry bay where can I find the multipass mode so I can change it to single pass whatever that is

#

and also a question, do I change this to anything else?

#

ohhh

#

oh yea i changed it to single pass

vapid hornet
#

still ghost frames

#

the video looks laggy also

#

2400 interpolated fps and 240 fps recorded

#

did everything the obs encoding lag fix channel told me

#

is there anything else that I can possibly do?

merry bay
#

idk man

#

i really want to sleep sorry

vapid hornet
#

nah its all good

brazen grail
#

That's intendef

acoustic sapphire
#

low latency is lower latency but slower

#

you'll be able to record higher fps with high quality tuning

vapid hornet
brazen grail
#

Not screenshots

#

An actual video

vapid hornet
#

okay ill do it soon

#

you want like a gameplay or just like me running around and just hitting with a sword

vapid hornet
#

i think its going to be too long

brazen grail
vapid hornet
#

i can send u like 30 seconds

#

its just a test video im not going to record it yet tho

brazen grail
#

is fine'

vapid hornet
#

the video appears darker than the original video, and it looks kind of laggy and not motion-blurry.

brazen grail

looks like high blur amount
