#Smoothie error on launch
65 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
reboot if you did it correctly
if not- better use a package manager like scoop to install it
can you type in powershell
Get-Command ffmpeg
and with the path jt returns type Test-Path "path it returned"
probably some fucked up ps config
which only smrs uses
if you try running it from terminal you just ran Get-Command ffmpeg in- it will probably work
terminal just opens powershell on my computer
which one
you may have one gazillion powershell and dont even know!
some may not pick up your environment variables
try running smoothie manually, from that terminal
it could be possible, don’t use it but it might still be installed idk
there can be more than one power shell?
try doing the following:
- make a new folder at the root of your c drive
- name it videos
- move the desired video to be rendered in that folder
- try rendering it through smoothie
will try
same error
do that now!!!
its struggling to find ffmpeg
scoop.cmd uninstall ffmpeg
and install it this way
see if this changes anything
how do you do this?
run smoothie exe from bin folder with -i argument
did u fix it?
ure looking for get-command
using test-path would check for Users\Z1xus\fFmpeg
@fair arch did u fix it
i guess not, they just asked did i fix it
i think it kinda worked after i added scoop/apps/ffmpeg/bin to the path
but after i deleted it, it still worked
i dont know wjhats happening, after every change i restarted my terminal
technically it shouldve worked this whole time, because i had ffmpeg in shims, and shims were in path
very weird
i also reinstalled ffmpeg w scoop
nope
got no idea what to at this point
did you try this: #1191918971767758858 message ?
