how do i save mkv clips as mkv after teknos blur has been applied?

im recording 1080p 120fps .mkv with obs and i tried applying teknos blur on it and it came out as an mp4, i can't play the video and i suppose it might be because the source video type is different from after applying blur

also the .mp4 extension is hardcoded into the source code itself so can't be changed
