#is windows atlas really shit?

I personally dislike all custom ISOs no matter what people try to convince me about a certain one
99% of them strip too much
no
Fr
no
at this point its a you problewm
its a you problem again
Why don’t you tell me what every optimization does in your custom iso if you’re so smart
I want specifics, not just “it makes your pc faster or do X”
Don’t even try linking me a page on what it does or telling me to Google. I want you to be the one to tell me since you seem super adamant with custom ISOs being good.
Go ahead, I’ll wait.
ok
i have exam tmrw
it ends tmrw
i will come and list
every single thing with proves
what it does
is that fine?
Not only that
- Significance
- Impact
- Why do this?
And examples of use cases
Whatever you deem necessary
why?
cause of them being too stripped?
Part of the reason yeah
For those that do, you really don’t need to go that excessive unless you somehow have a CPU that doesn’t actually have a proper scheduler on the OS you’re using
This is mostly for service stripping
i mean IMO ISOs are really good if you don't know how to tweak a system yourself, and want to save time to have a good out of the box experience
not everyone wants to put time into being knowledgeable, and people use what's popular which is stuff like revi, atlas and so on which aren't that stripped
Ah yes Revi, the OS that is encoding lag galore
I still have no idea why that OS caused so much encoding lag - and that’s where part of my problem lies
You don’t really know what they actually have done to modify Windows, which is a problem if you have an issue with a specific modification but don’t know what your culprit is
Either way you will have to educate yourself about windows tweaks one way or another
valid but just use something open source then and most issues have simple solutions like installing drivers or whatever
Even with open source, you’d have to hope that the repository is actually well documented
Not everyone is able to just know how to understand specific source code
most ISOs still have communities which you can ask for support
not all of them are the friendliest or the most helpful so
then dont use
ez
they r not charging neither forcing u to use it
the custom iso i use
i know everything about it
I realized that you know a lot about isos but I was wondering which bios settings are the best and which really work, I've seen thousands of different lists of what to disable and what not to activate but they are all different from the same bios, do you know which settings what really works?
I'm using an iso atlas 21h2
i dont
just learning around
this bios configuration is totally different from the original because I removed most of the things that take performance away
just use the ltsc windows if you really need to use windows
main settings you should change
are just disabling power saving related stuff
custom ISOs are still good if everything you use is supported
That’s fair
My main problem are the ones that have mislabeled or misleading marketing/information
How did you export to a txt file?
scewin
Ahh
The major iso's are Atlas, FoxOS, ReviOS( I don't trust revi), GGOS (Inactive)
Rest all are a joke
imo
These are all the known isos
I have used Revi in the past - seemed like a normal install but then I encountered encoding issues
couldn't find out the cause
reinstalled
immediately went away
skill issue yes
Try Atlas 22H2
When it comes out
You will get all solutions
i believe @crimson olive compiled a version of Altas Win11 22H2
seemed cool
not sure what tweaks he did tho
Probably used ntlite config of windows 10 22h2
I can do that
not official at all
what server is this from
one of the owners is underaged so i wouldn't trust the server but iirc the server is called world of windows i don't have an invite for it tho
wym underage and distrust
world of windows
made by alino
he is a 14 year old
he is not distrust though
can you send me servers that you guys use about tweaks? and about pc improvement i want to learn more about i don't think my pc is being used to 100% of its potential
use linux
if u wanna use 100% of it
I have linux downloaded which is very difficult to use
just use your brain
OS won't help that much
it depends on what you do
but if you are me, the difference is big
1.8.9 optifine, lowest details, 6700xt is 2800fps peak on windows vs 14800fps peak nobara
2500fps vs 12000fps avg
the problem is to decipher everything you have to do in nobara and it's very difficult to even open a browser (I couldn't open google)
i dont use it anymore
because gnome 43 is ass
context menus bug out on xorg
and i cant screenshare on wayland
which means that it is ass
im on arch + xfce rn
I have no idea what this is
this
Can you play valorant on this?
nobara wheel valorant no?
nope
Linux don't support valorant
That's why I use arch dual boot
it's uhm, the other way around i think
valorant doesn't support linux and seriously wants it not to run
idk why you would play valorant on linux when its anti cheat is kernel level and linux is mainly about privacy and transparency
yeah exactly
what
bro didnt get it
That pfp is either cursed or is a sign of respect
