scam protection is a thing with PayPal FNF, and mods are very active
The community is VERY wary of scammers
it's an expensive hobby after all
insane prices
sounds too good to be true
you are obligated to send me the links âźď¸
my kb cost me 4k and i did PayPal FNF
no scam
the community is VERY respectful
there are a couple elitists tho
4k of what
USD
what
is it custom made keyboard with carbon base and gold keycaps
I should get myself a job đ
definitely look for used mices
yes
i mean
phantom always went for dirt cheap
compared to others
im talking specifically phantom btw
others still go for MSRP or above
the OG used to be so fucking expensive
is it still like that
but yeah phantom is w/e

@winged robin
would it be worth to try this out
with led tho
can be disabled/remoed
if you're willing to roll the QC lottery, sure
they're 2nd to razer in wireless perf atm & it can hit like 26g if you swap it to the small battery iirc
awful customer support & a worrying amount of ppl experiencing issues tho fr
yeah u cn just tell from their site LOL
swap battery, remove led, mod shell a bit
~25g
ill cop it
just cuz
p sure there is but you can disable it
ahhh
yeah i think i saw it on the site
but yeah it's the only other proper fingertip exclusive mouse
fuck it ill cop
it's so much smaller than M2K though
yeah idk
but then again thats not really an issue on fingertip usually
unless a mouse is large
gotta try it i guess
fuck it we ball
i mean
i dont think so tbh
the weight is so light that cramping might not be an issue
similar to m2k
depends on how you grip it ig
man i just want m3k already
even tho i honestly hope they delay release till 3950 becomes available for companies other than razer
so we can have 8khz motionsync
would be amazing
tbh idek if 8khz motionsync is exclusive to 3950, but razer only did motionsync up to 4khz on 3399 & the only other 8khz mice are on 3360 with no motionsync at all
so I'm assuming it's a sensor limitation
especially since motionsync is hw based on them
35 USD thermalright pa120
harware
wron
PC is better than laptops and makbooks
Because Apple the company licks toes and sells 20 dollars low quality cables
im ngl
for laptops
unless i specifically need a program that just cant run on macbooks
i would rather have a macbook than any windows laptop
not based
i would much rather commit war crimes than use a makbooc
wrong
doesnt matter for me as long as it runs linux
hackintosh
apple makes incredibly good products if they fit your needs
if they dont, obviously dont buy from them
yuh
@round hamlet @winged robin what ram speeds/timings u guys at right now
3733 cl16
Forgot if either of you were really wanting to know if that HP ram was worth so one of you could purchase
not me im chillin
Ye you seem solid
im on some pisspoor 3200c18
although im not very interested in d4 since ill hopefully be upgrading to a d5 build later in the year
ah alr
ofc

pipe down lil bro

For 2 TB?
shitty boy
how is the 6950xt for editing and general use? (like can someone explain the downsides of and cause I've heard Nvidia have the advantage in general work and cuda stuff)
pretty much just if it works with current updated programs cause I do this as a hobby and don't need it to be super fast (within reason tho)
Could you be more specific? What programs?
Also, why 6950 XT specifically? I know you mentioned about the 3090 but there better NVIDIA cards that perform less with less money than the 3090. How much have you researched about the 6950 XT?
not much I just saw it was at a really cheap price compared to MSRP $630 ish
with good performance comparable to 3090
got a GPU budget around like 600 so it was right around the budget
Blur, smoothie, voukoder (idk how to spell), lossless cut, ffmpeg, Vegas, da Vinci resolve, and other editing or rendering programs
what was that price?
nah that was the price but MSRP was like 1.1k when it launched in May of 2022 I think
at this price range you're now looking at comparing the RTX 4070 as the NVIDIA counterpart on that price point
I'll put the gaming stuff here for reference. Take that for what you will https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/MKzUeD7y7QtrHbcBMAyBwY-970-80.png
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/geforce-rtx-4070-vs-radeon-rx-6950-xt-which-gpu-is-better
However for creator related workloads, here's what NVIDIA has that AMD clearly loses in:
- Encoder: NVIDIA has a faster and more reliable encoder. This will certainly improve your workflow and rendering times in all the rendering and editing programs you mentioned. 40 series also has dual media encoders: NVENC and NVDEC
- AV1 encoder: Since you seem to also be dealing with recording, this will heavily assist you in efficiency, typically allowing lower bitrate but not having garbage quality
- Driver reliability: NVIDIA remains to have reliable drivers with their Studio lineup. As for AMD, they definitely have gotten better, but not as close
- VRAM: This can help a bit, and it's been getting a bit more prevalent for gaming, but mostly discussing 12+. Still, the 4070 has 21 Gbps of VRAM speed whereas the 6950 XT has 18 Gbps. However, the 4070 does have 12 GB of VRAM and the 6950 XT has 16 GB
- Power consumption: NVIDIA is way more efficient in terms of power consumption. This is actually more important than you think since the electricity bill that is paid afterthefact will be lower, so really you're actually saving more by spending a bit less on the GPU (unless it's one of those higher end models which I wouldn't actually recommend) and less on your (or whoever is paying) electricity bill
@buoyant crown some factors for you too since you have a 4070 Ti
Google tells me that 4070 is 12 gb vram and 6950xt is 16gb vram
hm I think I misread something then
I misread VRAM Speed
Corrected that statement. Thank you for catching that
the rest remains the same
how much does the difference in vram matter
depends on workload. Be more aware of the VRAM speeds tho
amount is mainly for gaming
I'm still going to be mainly gaming just want to make sure I can also record and render decently well
Yeah 4070 Would be for you
around $600-650
even with the vram difference?
ye
with VRAM I would only be worried if it was 8 GB or less
Me: cries in 3070 and 2070 Super with 8 GB of VRAM
What if my vram is 2gb?
you shouldnât be worried
You should be ultra worried
thx
the buildapc discord tells me to get 6950xt cause of the gaming value (it's gonna be compatible with all the programs in this discord right?)
But does it mention about creator workloads?
If you were purely gaming go for 6950 XT 100%
But the moment you put content creation workloads as a factor
You will really regret not getting a 4070
Yea, these programs are compatible, but that doesnât mean they will run well
@round hamlet has owned a 6600 last year. Sure, itâs a lower tier card but content creation factors remain on all their cards
And even older
He can tell you how bad it is
Yuh
Please elaborate your experience on the AMD card.
like they'll run slower or run extremely slow in general
cause I just need a reasonable time
I do this as a hobby and don't usually post anyways I just like making my clips look good
I just want to keep my doors open
Significantly slower than an nvidia card
But it depends on the program
What do you use?
how much? Like will it match or exceed my current laptop 1050 ti
My gtx 1050 can record high quality high fps
Can any amd card do that?
Depends on the value
Lol no it canât do that
Hard to tell, it depends on settings
holy shit apparently a BIOS update was the reason I couldn't use XMP daisy chained on 4 sticks on my Z690 board
was stuck at 3200 MHz for a while even though my sticks were rated at 3600 MHz
now it's just my MSI B550 board that can't use these sticks at 3600 MHz
Never mind unstable af fork
talk about memory management BSODs too
Ok we arenât erroring like mad at 3500 MHz
oh i forgot abt this
Same
so uh
i wanna upgrade my cpu, but i'm not really sure what i should get, plz help
Here's my current build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fHhzfy
i have ~320⏠& i live in france, i don't really want to change my motherboard (because i'm a lazy fuck)
'haven't looked at intel's prices, but the 5600x is at 150âŹ, 5700x at 200 and 5800x3d at 320 (but that'd mean i'd have to spend an extra 20-50⏠above my budget bc of the lack of cooler)
if there's anything else wrong / worth upgrading in my current build, lmk (i'm not the one who made that build, my brother did a couple of years ago but with a 1050ti instead of the 3060)
remind me in 30m
my second pc has a 5800x3d, it is extremely power efficient for the amount of performance you get and temps are relatively easy to maintain
it is leagues above the other two
i think its worth the investment t
Yeah but the problem i have with the 58x3d is that it's ~60% more expensive than the 2 other ones and it also requires a cooler, so it's pretty much 2x the price of the 56x
so idk if it's really worth it
i think the price to performance increase is worth it
sure
you also probably wouldnât have to replace it as soon as the other two
i can personally vouch for the 5800xd, you donât even need a crazy cooler for it
and it runs fps games , minecraft, etc exceptionally well
Eh fair enough, any cooler recom. btw?
anything noctua, though they are a tad bit expensive
i donât have much experience with companies other than noctua and alphenfohn, maybe some a peerless assassin ?
thank you
alright so upgrading to 5700x you will probably by able to keep your current cooler
what do you play on (the display)
5800x3d has 24% improvement over 5700x
considering 5800x3d is 1.7 times more expensive (if we include the cooler upgrade)
you will get a cpu that is 24% faster for 1.7x more money
ohh, you included the display
my bad
3060 probably wont be a bottleneck at 1080p
Yeah idk if it's worth it honestly, i'm unsure
cheapest i can find is 315⏠, how much would a decent cooler cost?
(+ i'm a bit scared abt whether or not my psu is enough)
300⏠when bought as "used, as good as new" on amazon
315 for a cooler ?
for the 5800x3d
those lows XDDDDDDDDDD
do you have a comparison between the 5800x and the 5800x3d
it's a 2⏠diff between the 5700x and 5800x but a 120⏠diff between the 5800x and 5800x3D
R7 5700X vs. R7 5800X vs.R7 5800X3D | How Much Performance Difference?
In this Video I'll Show You Productivity and CPU Gaming Benchmarks of amd Ryzen 7 5700X, amd Ryzen 7 5800X and amd Ryzen 7 5800X3D (All Paired with RTX 3080 and RTX 3060)
System Specs :
amd Ryzen 7 5700X @ Stock Settings
amd Ryzen 7 5800X @ Stock Settings
amd Ryzen 7 5800X...
since i've got a 3060 i guess i'll go for the 58x instead, since the diff between the 58x and 58x3D is minimal thanks to my 3060 12gb and if i upgrade anytime soon, i'll probs change my ram, psu and motherboard too so might as well just do a new build
ty
shouldn't the diff be lower bc i have a 3060 instead of a 3080?
like shouldn't i be closer to a gpu bottleneck instead of a cpu one?
(and a 75% price increase isn't worth a 10% diff anyways)
Iâm so conflicted if I should get a 14900K or 14700K or neither
Already have a 12700K, and my only reason to upgrade is for compile and compression/decompression times. Havenât looked too deep in benchmarks quite yet. Will look later
If anyone wants more detail on what actual compile and compression cycle goes on a day to day basis Iâll explain it later after Iâm done with work
ping me đ
14900k is solid though
have a system on loan with a 14900k 4090 to compare with my 7800x3d 4090
this is the latest guide which isn't much different
just directories are outdated on that version I sent
You'll need a Java 8 JDK to get it working
otherwise it'll just error out
got it
Just need to install IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition (can do that via Winget)
then make a new project
select the folder you want
then you can follow that MD
JetBrains.IntelliJIDEA.Community
that's the ID for Winget
yeah i have it installed alr on my pc
alr
js gotta wait for classes to end
ah
hell yeah tellinq leaking cb source samples!!!!
hey man im not the original leaker
might as well be open about it LOL
yeah, if you wouldve been the original leaker this readme.md wouldve been like 15mb filled with walls of text
technically Nox leaked this but how it was done I'm not 100% sure
However I believe it's because he had this file server that was PUBLIC and he put the SRC as a backup even though GitHub literally is a more advanced backup source per commit
even though his server was password protected, I bet it was easily bypassed
then whoever got through found that
I did manage to date back that this version is from June 10th 2022
funny how it took over a year for it to become public
i dont understand how people are even finding these
or even trying to find these
one of my friends found this src since they do check for leaks from time to time
just coincidence they found it two days after it became public
I don't really hunt for leaks
and tbf I don't care
if it's going to be from a year ago I don't really care
there are two other leaks that happened that I do know of but I dont believe went very far
first one I ever knew of was because Nox sending the src to a specific someone who wasn't a dev
Excuse? "Because I was the owner of the project at the time" Wrong. I was owner back on October 4th 2022
is nox still on the team?
ah
unfortunate really
they're fired
âPassword protectedâ by a basic password without a lot of safeguards
whole situation i mean
Iâve got most of what was there saved if you want to try and date some of it
does it also include my SRC
Havenât checked tbh
fun fact i occasionally check ctt members for leaked passwords
đ
Elaborate
Like you check our usernames/known emails on databases?
Did you ever find something
@gleaming prairie
mhm
Is that the password or what
no its his nickanme
He fears if he says yes he will get potato bunned
i just cant spel

i love breadf
bunned...
thank you again good sir đ
By the way for the cooler Iâm using: Deepcool Castle 360EX
The fans Iâm using on that radiator are Lian Liâs P28
If temps are going to be unbearable I might consider upgrading to something more ideal
12700K temps have been solid even with power limits on ASUSâs automatic configuration
I hear compared to 13th gen, 14th gen on ASUS auto behaves a bit different, but mostly similar
https://youtu.be/D8qEzL8MM50?si=B341-gTKr1DV3RA3 saw from here
The Intel Core i9-14900K is supposed to be the best gaming CPU of 2023 and in order to find out if Intel's claims are true we dive deep into the Intel 14th Gen power, temperatures, performance and gaming framerates versus the i9-13900K, 7950X3D and even the 7800X3D.

ah i forgot you ended up getting the p28s
not rlly
Yeah been enjoying them over my deepcool fans
just people who invest a portion of their money on hardware for their personal computers đŻ
My plan is to have the 14900K probably be my final cpu for quite a while until AM5 ceases
Plan to skip AM5 entire unless thereâs an issue on cb and no one on my team has AM5
Have had situations where thereâs hardware specific issues and most eyes turned to me to purchase hardware to check
if ill invest a portion of my money into personal computer ill end up with Raspberry Pi Pico and 2 eur debt
ouch
Mostly launcher having bad detections with DDR5 due to a library fault
am5 will be around for a good while though
I coincidentally bought a DDR5 laptop for other reasons
Since August 2021
Repasted with Arctic MX6 back in like
May 2023
Phanteks P500A
I would probably upgrade one or the other if you're going for the 14900k, its not necessary but will make things decently easier to manage
shit heats up fast under heavy loads in my experience
im not too experienced with phanteks cases but i havent heard good or bad things about their cases so
Hmm
neither lolllllll
7800x3d
just see my post in off-topic
it shouldve pinged you yesterday
has most of the tests youd want i imagine
yall
i dont understand
after applying liquid metal my fps dropped significantly
yet the temps dropped, and it maintains the frequency
gpu temps seem higher than before
i read a few reddit posts
they suggest that the thermal pads on the vram create uneven pressure
i might replace them with the regular thermal paste
hmmm
if i enable bd prochot
it triggers at 75°C
and drops my frequency to 800MHz
cam someone share their opinionnnn
just taken it apart again
holy shit its hot
mybe its not the conductivity, but the cooling system itself
why did it turn into balls đ¤
i spread it evenly again and the temps are back low again
I SMOKIN REEFER
ballz haha
https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/s/7LEcsMQNxB
Thought this was Nvidia specific?
had to disable it in every vm i ever made, fixed all of the stutter issues i had
zotac
i only really buy FE, Asus, and MSI rn
mostly FE, since theyre easiest to put in ITX but im on a MSI Suprim X right now in my ATX
ty
Zotac cooling solutions most of the time are either cheap or just weird
If itâs 40 series you may have luck
Older than that
Have fun having a bad time
i probably wont be getting a 40 series
im looking at 3060/3060ti
nothing too crazy expensive
What do you even have right now
ok
what would you recommend i go to
without upgrading cpu cause i do NOT have the money to upgrade both
keep the money
Yeah keep it and expand your budget later in
On*
Donât feel like you have to spend it on something
my plan is to get a 5700g, build some smol mini itx pc and then get a gpu in the future
what do y'all ppl think
Should be fine
Also another question my laptop got shorted so will it be safe to use the same ssd?
Should be fine(if your SSD didn't die)
How do i know that
K
ooh yours too?
incredibly mediocre
Absolutely NO ONE should be getting into AM4
AM4 upgrades should only happen now if you already have AM4 platform
@main flume @uneven goblet
Either LGA1700, AM5, or none
Thatâs your option
No AM4, otherwise go straight to 5800X3D and nothing else
;'(
LGA1700 is dead-end from now on
Yeah
no more refreshes iirc
Then donât get a new platform
Buy cheap, buy twice
Thatâs how it works
And thatâs a situation you donât want to do
sir im
You donât have to buy a new platform now
Did you seriously brick your dGPU
ye
and u probably still play better thyan june :3
Ouch
brotha just get a new gpu đ
Thatâs a laptop
AM5 is the way to go for new builders right now
Iâd seldom recommend LGA 1700 if that becomes last resort
Again, AM4? 5800X3D
Canât do that? Find a different platform
cant find that? commit theft
june
Bro speak English I don't understand computer
How much do they cost
I'm not planning to upgrade in the next 10 years or something lol
I'm not rich
would probably go under poor, and not just "not rich"
I got uni next year
Just saying but a desktop at uni really isnât a good idea
Coming from personal experience
I tried it with having one desktop at college and home
Not very productive
If you really want AM4, fine
But just know pc hardware does get obsolete faster than you think
I even said back in 2019 âI want my pc to last, I donât plan to upgrade in the next 5+ yearsâ
Clearly didnât go to plan
you mean break orr?
i dont want it i just dont have the budget for it
thing is, you'll probably need to upgrade in the next 5 years if you go am4
and that's probs an optimistic guess
The main reason why I say to go for AM5 is because by the time youâd want to do an upgrade (during AM5 end of life), it would just be the CPU
Maybe the GPU if you wanted but you wouldnât be spending a glorified amount of money just for that kind of CPU upgrade
oh itâs not a maybe anymore
Itâs most definitely
DDR4 is dead once LGA 1700 is dead
i'm in that situation (5800x, rtx 3060, 16gb ddr4 2133mhz) and it sucks
if i want to upgrade anything, i'll need to change my motherboard
if i upgrade the gpu i'll need a better psu, if i get a new cpu i'll need a new mb and ram (and maybe psu)
wouldn't recommend tbh
'might as well bite the bullet and build a more expensive am5 build rn, imo am4 is kinda fucked/eol
Am 5 build
R5 7600
GIGABYTE B650M DS3H Motherboard
8x2 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM
970 EVO PLUS

Corsair H100 RGB 240mm CPU Cooler
Deepcool PM650D, 650 Watt, 80 Plus Gold
CC560 Case
Acer Nitro VG240YS 23.8 Inch
Redragon K617
This would be compatible right cuz I can't find it the cpu and motherboard on pc part picker
Gonna say right now I would start linking PC part pickers and limiting to preferred merchants if thatâs why youâre manually linking
Also, whatâs your absolute maximum budget youâre aiming for?
Iâd prefer to go parametric to help lay out a good price for each target
But yes
The cpu and motherboard are compatible
Lemmie rebuild that on PCPartPicker but parametric and Iâll see what I get
But DDR4 will not work
That might be why you canât get the motherboard to show up due to incompatibility
My max budget would be just a bit over 1.1k dollar
Dollar in what currency
US, AU?
CA
Just wanting to make sure since AUD and CAD are drastically higher
also, I never got what you were intending what you wanted to do with your build
What games, recording/streaming (if thatâs a target), resolution, other applications will you be using?
If thatâs not determined, just wanting a general intent
By the way you can @ reply me, I donât mind
K
by the way @polar valve Iâm a bit out of the loop with DDR5 timings. Iâm not entirely sure what are a good base to start with and what to utterly avoid
K
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 3050 8GB, Deepcool CC560 ATX Mid Tower
Perfect ty
Before I start dissecting each part, are there any that you specifically chose for a reason?
Other than AM5 because I recommended that platform
Or was it more of mindlessly picking in hopes of the target budget
This is mostly what I will use to determine what should be considered when setting up the filters, but any other additional criteria would be greatly appreciated
I'll be playing Minecraft the most and sometimes fortnite
Alright
Oh and renders
Renders will easily narrow down the GPU
Well really a competent encoder
This also means I can probably be a bit loose with GPU VRAM
So perhaps that 3050 might be feasible, but not something I would still recommend
Gonna see what AMD has to offer in terms of general performance
I only consider AMDâs 7000 series when dealing with any encoding based stuff
Due to AV1 chip
Anything else from AMD is a no go
Alr
Normally I would always default to NVIDIA
But AMD does give good performance but that depends on the card
I need to look at GPU benchmarks again to get an idea
I heard the the RX 7600 was a shit show but not sure if that was bad performance or the price being unpredictable
@uneven goblet do you need a motherboard that supports WiFi, or are you primarily using Ethernet and donât mind having a board without WiFi? That will mean youâll need a separate card (which I would pick a non WiFi model anyways if it included a slot)/dongle
I only ask to narrow my choices
I use wifi
Alr
It's kinda crossing my budget by 84 dollars hope it lowers when 8000 series releases
By the way not all the parts showed a price. Trying to work out making sure you can reach 1.1K
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JhTTpB this is where I stand right now
I pretty much am having to cheap out on the RAM and SSD
Well the motherboard too in that regard
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (3 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
I omitted the cooler as itâll already come with one
Iâd only buy one after the fact if temps become an actual issue
Or if you do upgrade down the line to something more beefy and need a new cooler
If this being over budget is fine, there u go but Iâm gonna dig deeper to see if I can iron out the quirks
But that will give you an idea how I deal with parametric
If you are not dead set on that monitor you can go with the VG249Q1A and get some better ram and a cooler
Like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Gky2Wt
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
Motherboard is on backorder though
That too ^
Gonna expand that case list since I can go down further
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hLn4YN
Still rough but I went with the original motherboard choice as that can work
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
I also selected the motherboard on back order in the case that ever goes back in stock and remains cheaper
Hold up why is 7600 not selected anymore
Thatâs a problem
Ah wait itâs my account that is limiting it due to narrowing to Amazon
God the SSD chosen is so shit LOL
Was showing total of $1130
Yeah I have a bit more flexibility now
Iâll come back to this tmr
Mainly needing to narrow down RAM choices and SSD
Maybe a better cooler too
And switching out the monitor
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cVXt9c last one before I go to bed
Not finalized but a better idea of what Iâm going after
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, BitFenix Nova Mesh M ARGB MicroATX Mini Tower
how good is radeon rx compared to nvidia gpus?
dont get corsair h100 ever
unless its literally free
either stock or phantom spirit 120 (se or not), the h100 seems overpriced af
K
That puts ne close to my budget thanks
(i can vouch for the 120 se, i have one with a r7 5800x and i've never gone above ~75-80° even during stress tests)
Alr
Something cheaper than the phantom spirit 120 se that's cheap?
Idk, you could always try stock first and see if its good enough

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cVXt9c do I need a 7600x
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
The other one fits budget better
you dont need a 7600x
Would this one suffice? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cVXt9c
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks Eclipse G300A (1 Fan) ATX Mid Tower
Also what makes rx 7600 better than nvidia gpus(we're speaking like 4060,3060, gtx 1660 super/ti) in terms of renders, rendering speed and fps
Not necessarily better by the way
I chose it because itâs a valid option
Due to AV1
The H.264 option is not viable to use
Same with H.265
well itâs a bit better on the AMD side
But AV1 is where youâll want to look
That's only for renders though, right?
NVIDIA technically is better statistically if you use their AV1
Practically it means nothing when you actually look at the videos
Thatâs for any encoding situation
So really yes that includes renders
So wouldn't nvidia be better overall?
Thatâs where you check for rasterized performance
Thatâll be your real settlement
What's rasterized performance
AND RAYTRACED !!!!!!!!
Raw performance
What youâre basically asking about fps
But youâll want to check the price for each of the cards you mentioned
Specifically the 4060 and 7600
And their Ti variants
unironically gamechanging when available
Ti in rx is xt right
love raytraced reflections
Yes
Marketing wise
Names mean nothing to me
Until I associate their actual performance
all amds 7000 cards should be lowered one tier :3
Heck for all I could care NVIDIA could have released the 4070 as a 4080 that performed like what the 4070 does now
(except 7900 xtx)
Ah so rx 7600 is like 4 fps less than a normal 4060 which is why you and is a cheaper option and which is why I'm guessing you picked it?
Mhm
Well the parametric did
Technically
But definitely check Amazon.in first
Iâll let you be the judge
Kk also would these suffice?
4060 on Amazon.in is crazy high
they have identical rasterized
7600 should be markedly worse in raytraced performance, and usually has slightly less polished features
but if its cheaper i dont see a reason not to go with it
Like whatâs the point of NVIDIAâs encoder for h.264 and h.265 when AV1 is superior anyways
Iâm still not concerned with ray tracing atm for this guy
I'm not gonna use ray tracing
How dare you not embrace the rays âŚ
Unless I'll be like taking like cool screen shots lol
/j.
< 3
Some of these are lower specs than what is mentioned in the part picker
Iâll let Simon be the judge of DDR5 SSD and ram since Iâm behind in that department
Idk who is simon
Yeah for ssds id guess he wouldnât need to worry about the speeds if heâs not doing big file transfers a lot
i frankly didnt even know you could get 8gb sticks of d5 LOL
But what do I know I donât look at SSD charts 24/7
wtf
should be chill aslong as you have a dram cache, no?
I think?
Samsung 970 evo is fast right?
its fine
||HOW DARE U NOT PICK THE FASTEST SSD U DISGRACE||
Youâd have to be me for it to matter
990 pro :3
What do ssd and ram speeds even do
well they basically
Basically?
they
Real
Just the cpu mother board ram storage and gpu almost put me above my budget
Uhh

Is the deepcool ak400 zero dark or deepcool ak400 good for my build
Also what temps will my cpu be at with stock cooler and what would it be at with deepcool ak400
Thatâs not definitive
Would it be high with a stock tho, I've heard some pretty bad stuff about it's cooling
Yeah theyâre generally higher
Some guy on reddit says it could get to 95 celsius
Well that will happen on any cooler for AM5
Thatâs actually intended by AMD
So 95 is normal?
Yes, thatâs what I said
You can reduce it through undervolting if youâd like
Completely optional tho
And if I overclock would to go above 95?
Whatâs happening is AMD is setting the clock speed as high as it can as long as your cooler can withstand
Ah ok
Having a better than stock cooler will help
so it's basically auto-oc-ing ?
well . . .
depending on the cpu you decide to get!
forgot he was getting giga-budget shit
So you would you suggest a cooler?
i would suggest a couleur
Do we know what the msrp will be for the 5X00x3d ? (Replace X with anything)
đąđą
????
weren't some 5000x3d cpu announced &/or leaked?
wtf when
do we know the price yet or nah
I personally donât know
Just saw articles pulling out those names
No
đžâ Hardware & PC Building
@lone jackal @green lantern @uneven goblet moved to this

get me attention there ty
@polar valve Iâm looking for a solid NVME SSD but no more than 10 Gbps as Iâm using it for external storage
Found a hub that im gonna use as also external storage to replace all my USB flash drives including Ventoy
Only downside is the one Iâm gonna get is limited to 10 Gbps (not Gigabytes, Gigabits) but thatâs fine since Iâm not doing constant file transfers
Iâm not caught up on SSD trends. Iâm mainly focused on high capacity
5 TB max
Probably 2-4 TB tho
get 990 pro 4tb / sn850x 4tb / p44 pro / p41 plus / p31
Ahem
?
and ?
Therefore I cannot accept those recommendations
Wasted speeds
For external storage
what
Like I said
No that ruins the hotswap nature
For your recommendations however theyâre perfectly valid for internal storage nature
I could consider swapping an existing 2 TB SSD I already own that had lower speeds
And then upgrade my internal storage
that might also be a better play
probably would be
frankly cant think of anything in that speed range at all
thats what i mean
id barely consider getting myself a 970 evo nowadays, and thats still far above the requested speed
Actually I think I have an SSD that is close to the 10 Gbps speeds
Itâs 512 GBs tho
Itâs an ADATA XPG (forgot the model but itâs like 1800 MB/s iirc)
Itâs not in one of my main systems but in whatâs gonna be a Proxmox server
And needs a bunch of virtual machines running
Which WILL have high data transfer
So in this case your suggestions are greatly appreciated for that system
If the time comes where I need more external storage Iâll probably look at budget 4-5 TB ssds if they ever exist
Hey, I was browsing around and came across this thread #1026794372659937311 message
wait this isnât true 900 series also have nvenc
đą
Thatâs true for H.264 and H.265
Theyâre missing context about AMDâs AV1 implementation
Which is not true at all for that statement
So now amd av1's implementation makes it better?
It makes AMD 7000 series more viable of a recording option
NVIDIA also has their own AV1 implementation too
But practically theyâre basically the same
So all you need to consider is just rasterized performance to price
Thatâs it
Ah ok
AND OTHER FEATURES !!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh also last thing I have heard some bad stuff about amd drivers and windows does it still happen or is that fixed
From what I've seen online, it was NVIDIA drivers messing with AMD drivers
Use DDU and you should be good
Aight
i found some weird glitch in my setup
so my portable display uses an external power adapter
and if i plug all that into my gpu it causes one of my case fans to spin slowly
also makes gpu whistle or sum
very fun
bc nobody in the west buys yeston gpus
swear
its so beautiful
but they only have 30 series til now
im shopping for a 4090 atm
for 1080p 27"(lel) display.
4090 hof, 4090 strix, 4090 matrix
wait the matrix looks so insane
its also like $2.5K iirc
which case ?
hyte y60
yeah rip đ
most cases built like that support side 360
js thought this would too
rip
4090 supprimx / liquid / fe
^+
hof is noice
matrix is strix
literally same shit, just bin
is suprimx liquid much better than the normal one
i was thinking strix cus i saw it at top of list above all the others lol
get the tier above instead of useless cosmetic edition ure gonna look at the frames ur gpu feeds to ur display not at the interior of ur case
they spent all budget on the box art and itâs just a blue-accent on the gpu, really not worth it
they stop at 3080 anyway i alrdy have 3080ti
and i do care abt what it looks like
why..?? đ¤¨
compliments
the amt of ppl walked in my house and be like "wow that is a rlly nice looking pc" since i got my new pc compared to the old "ur pc is so ugly loool"
next pc is fat ass noctua
not even bothering buying extra for chromax.black
thĂŠ most performant for the price fuck the rest
it s the supprim with a rad
yeston models are alright if not good
no, they do the 4070 / 4070 ti also
ew
get phanteks t30
and build a custom watercooling
it is so cheap now
if you cared about most performant you wouldnt be buying noctua
but go on son
??
idk any better i havenât been in pc parts for 2+ years
whats the new hot cool kids config
config of pc parts is crazy
phanteks t30 or some fast as fuck industrial fans
so smoothie pilled
and a good 360/420 rad
not enough
so a better bin of an already nice card
not really a bad thing
not worth the price
founders edition is literally better than most custom ards
cooling is kinda meh but enough
keyword being most
who cares if its worth it
its a 4090
its already up there in price
custom watercooling is cheap now
no
dont expect anyone here to do custom watercooling
don t waste price on such menu improvement, invest in peripherals and cooling
?
it cost like 2 cheap aio
?
?
?
i mean dont expect anyone in here to bother building
a custom loop
its not in their skillset, and its not something most of them want to do
don t tell me you find it hard
. . .
âŚ
i m not talking about youtube girly rgb youhouuuu custom wastes money views framechaser
just a rad / tubing / pump / reservoir / ram waterblock / cpu / ssd
vrm and pch if you want
average fans
what fans do u recommend
and wowww rgb cable is so rgb đŽ
they work !!!
if they spin & pc isnt overheating
it isnt a big deal
omg theres reverse versions of the infinty one
thats all i had to hear
go DIE simon
in bad busines
WTF !!!!!!!!!
in bad busineses.
i only know them bc of u
i havent seen a single other person mention them ever LOL
damn
but tpu had a positive review, and theyre rgb'ified
no fucking way
and then we have the fucking Apex metal sandwich fans that Igors lab misrepresented
so theyre a good recommendation for most ppl
dude im so sad ab that
ikr
they also js handled it so badly
LKNMFAOO
the backlash from other reviewers testing it & not getting results anywhere near what they did
is exactly what @minor cargo @snow plover and I were experiencing in VC with mmunk
"oh but x person tested it"
hjow how how how
oh you should have been in vc when it happened
play in thatâs
