  • remove temporary files (%temp%, %tmp%, recycling bin)
  • run multiple levels of a windows defender scan (quick, full, and offline)
  • run malwarebytes (uninstall it afterwards, it has a lot of annoying popups)
  • run adwcleaner https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner (uninstall afterwards)
  • disable anything unneeded programs from startup in task manager

it can disable/delay updates, so make sure you read through all of the settings before you apply anything, don't just apply a preset and call it a day
