any idea for my traffic route? I have heavy traffic problem around the cargo train. Can't place a cargo hub yet because the harbor line is too far away. Additionally I'm scare the same scenario will happen with the cargo hub. 80% of the verhical is truck 20% is small vehicle. I have metro around the place and have old town turn on
I do not think that old town will help for an industry area. The trucks have to go there.
The road to the train station and from the highway seems to be the same. I would suppose it might be better to separate those traffic.
I made some change it's quite work but there still a lot of traffic around the cargo
Cargo train station tend to have a lot of traffic
so there is no fix for that?
Well, it just depends if the road layout can handle the amount of traffic.
But I am not so good at that, to tell you exactly how.
I try to put my cargo station a bit separated from the other traffic routes on a separate lane. And if the station should not be there for traffic of others district, not directly at the highway.
I have 4% undeducated
14% educated
15% well educated
the rest is high educated
but I still getting trouble with 4.0 industry
Perhaps just not enough workers? What is the unemployment rate?
right now because of the traffic is improve a lot. It's drop from 22% to 8%
Well, so there are cims that could go to work.
I have never used 4.0 industry so far, so I do not know what problems can arise with it. Perhaps someone else has an idea.
the problem is it's always said I don't have enough educated worker!
while >70% of my sim are well educated
The problem is that the cargo train station really should be on it's own dedicated road so that you don't have to worry about that road also acting as a collector or serving industry.
In addition to the other suggestion, you can improve flow at the station by setting it back a tile (build it on a wide road, then downgrade it to a normal road), and making it one way (minding the direction, so that the entrance/exit are on the proper side)
industry 4.0 is just a massive traffic generator
i generally run very small industrial districts with it, or not have it
Not a good idea to grid industry 4.0
your size i think is fine though
It's time for main roads ๐
green is an arterial road (no zoning, few intersections) that doesn't meet the highway,
blue are ones that do meet the highway (i made arrows to show towards where)
yellow is arterial or collector, does the bulk of connecting the industry to the highway.
grey dashes = cut, squares = de - grade intersections (make one road go over the other)
magenta is a bit like yellow, serves as a frontage main road that can be used for public transport and connecting to other arterials and districts.
thanks a lot I will update you as soon as I finish.
here is my work, still not improve much. The forest industry telling that it's don't have enough buyer due to the gap between the inport/export(11233/16579)
