I’d recommend stripes as fillers so that they point in the same direction (but slightly tilted) as the movements. Another option is to do curbs on the filler-parts

The reason why it doesn't is that your crossover is happening at the same node that highway ramps meet the crossing road, instead of between the two spots the ramps are joining/diverging.
yeah, is there even a way to do it with seperated junctions?
I am assuming you are using mods? If so, you could delete the portion between the highway ramps and then use the Network Multitool (NMT by macsergey) to add a node in the middle of the new short straight segment extending past the current crossover point. Then delete one half and connect the road segments of each side to that node. Then delete the other half and use the one-way roads to connect to the node we see here...Does that make sense?

Try using Node Controller to stretch the node? Might help.
