#Can anyone help me diagnose this? My intercity bus stations can't receive any intercity busses.

I've tried three different models of bus station, both vanilla, DLC, and modded. I've tried dragging them around with MoveIt, moving them with the in-game tool, and demolishing and re-building them. I've tried different locations. All have the same problem. If I hover over one of the red lines, I get a fly-up message saying, "Path failed, 2/2 (6761 49865)" though sometimes it's 4/4. I don't think I've seen 3/3.

I don't know how to find individual path segments based on their segment number, my googling is not helping. But I don't have any other pathing problems (that I'm aware of, lol), and everything else in my 48k city is working. City busses can make stops within the bus station, adding bus stops within the station to existing routes, or moving existing stops within the station, works fine.

Any ideas what's wrong? Or how I can troubleshoot further? Thanks

Anyone? I noted that my TM was out-of-date, so I forced an update, but it hasn't helped...

FWIW, I got broken nodes and segments in CS1 far more often than in CS2.

I'm sure. But normally TMPE detects them, and rarely have I had more than 2 or 3 at a time. Based on TM's current report, I have several dozen broken segments, but when I double-click the error notices and it jumps the camera to the allegedly broken segment, traffic is passing thorugh them just fine. It's only intercity busses that won't spawn

Strange... I wanted to look up that mod but I don't see it. Is it using a different name on PDX?

I'm on CS:1, not CS:2. Mods are in the Steam Workshop, not PDX.

TM is flagging 6 nodes (all the invisible ones within the station itself), and 20 segments as broken. But only when checking the intervity bus stations. And the internal nodes can be navigated by city transit busses just fine.

Haven't touched CS1 in quite some time, but.... Have you tried redrawing the outside road/hwy connections?

No, because the last time I futzed with those I broke 'em, lol. I'll try now though.

Just checked two different bus stations. Two different errors, two different stations, both pointing to the same external connecting segemnt...

different segment numbers????

Since it's only affecting the intercity buses - local buses work fine - there's only two causes I can think of:
1 ) The outside connection itself is somehow corrupted
2 ) Some mod interacting with both buses and outside connections is broken/corrupted

bulldozing and re-drawing the exterior connection changed the name of the Exterior city listed in Transfer Manager, but it's still flagging it as broken. I can see pople spawning at the re-drawn exit, pulling out their pocket cars, and trucks are still using it for export.

Intercity busses don't count as "Dummy traffic ," do they...?

It's possible... I mean, the dummy traffic does spawn buses running from one outside connection to the other.
And you said export is working; is import also working?

yep. Goods, mail, both come in. My city's stil too small for my own mine or farms, but I have specialty buildings requiring crops and metal, and their warehouses bring in goods just fine

Do you have cargo rail going or is it all roads still?

yes, there's cargo rail. Mostly for export, but I'm sure the one in my downtown is bringing things in too

Here's an idea...

Go ahead and make a save (so you can come back to this point), then turn off / shut down the cargo rail; see if you still get imports.

I'm thinking that if you've got a mod that's blocking dummy traffic, it might be preventing inbound stuff you DO want - like intercity buses, and likely freight imports as well.

Might also explain why all the errors are reporting in pairs - inbound plus outbound

Never used that mod but your op screenshot does list each connection twice.

yes, and that would explain why the one one-way hwy connection outside has only 1!

...

I don't know what can be done with that informtion though, lol

k, Broken Node detector didn't find any problems. Gonna check if deleting my cargo rail forces my generic industires to get trucks form the border

yep. Generic industries get trucks coming in at the border instead of using trains

I'd start with the one blocking dummy traffic - see if the buses work without it

ya, TM is blocking dummy traffic. I think TMPE or can too, but it's off. Regardless, this is now a Wednesday problem, I've got to prep for tomorrow's D&D session

well, turning off dummy traffic didn't work... And turning on logging didn't give me anything... Very confused still... Gonna start turning things off and see what happens

well, I turned off everything except these:
