help fix traffic in my city

i have tried some things but i cant seem to be able to fix it

I cant really see where the traffic is but some general tips are

more connectivity

road hierchy (big roads get less intersections small ones get all of the local connections)

it looks like your city only has one enterance/exit to the highweay

i tried adding another entrance near the right for vehicles trying to get to the port but cars that are heading for the city use that entrance and it creates more traffict congestion

re add that connection

add one near the single family homes area

add one junction from the island to the highway

it looks like your bridge across the water is one wa

i'd suggest making it 2 way for increased traffic flow

if you are able to take a few close up pictures of the city and where the traffic is occuring that would be helpfulk

these are some of the spots that have traffic jams

the issue is that your high density/medium density islands only have 1-2 roads entering them

leading to traffic overflowing on the few roads you have

reduce the amount of traffic lights and junctions oin the main roads entering the city

add more bridges if possible

sometimes the traffic builds up because of the moving in traffifc

if you are building a ton of houses and this happens again dont panic
