#How I connect those two?

Always provide multiple ways to access high speed roads and multiple modes of cargo transpo as well as worker access.
You don't need to make any sort of fancy a** interchange for the highway connections, only if you want to. As long as the traffic flows, that's just to make it pretty.
Also, with your connection from that built-in interchange to your non-industrial area there in the south, you want to make sure that very first intersection and road off the interchange expands as your pop grows.
Right now, that intersection works for having a pop less than 3k, but its going to quickly become clogged with heavy traffic once you start climbing above 3K.
I tried to make something simple, I'm new to the game so idk how to make a lot of fancy things
That actually works.
Are you using any mods?
Nop
Ok, then my other advice will not apply lol.
the game is from epic games so idk if it's possible to use any mods
The intersections have good distance, solid intersections, and good separation between exit and entrance.
It is, but it's a serious pain in the butt!
are you talking about this?
Correct.
should I just make the road wider?
You'll want to eventually either create a multiple-lane roundabout OR large lane density connection.
Doesn't matter, either one.
Right now, you have a small enough population that it is not necessary.
Especially if you aren't playing with unlimited money/unlock all.
Don't need to pay for the upkeep and added utilities strain if you can avoid it.
Idk if I got it wrong or right but I did this
That's not a terrible way to do it at all! Just remember that you need to clearly designate Arterial versus Collector versus Local Roads. ^^
Have you checked out CPP's Tips for Beginners video yet?
Yep, I started playing because of them, but every city that I created had kinda of a same layout, so I wanted to try something new
That's fantastic! I'm always experimenting, which is why I've never gotten a pop beyond 50K lol.
I'll try some things, build a new map for it, get through a certain step and then just need to move on.
the other city that had a layout tha looked like his had 12k pop then everyone just started dying because I forgot about clinics and polution
idk if it is because of the clinics or polution but everyone just started getting sick and dying
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Best methodology: always place your sewage plants downstream from your water intake and far away from any of the city. If you have it unlocked, and can afford it and the upkeep, use the Inland Treatment Plants instead, but same considerations. This way, it significantly lessens the pollution and is much more controllable over the sewage pipes.
Make sure healthcare is within 10 blocks of any residents and commercial. Industrial really doesn't produce a lot of healthcare needs in CS1, so its often only necessary to put a clinic nearby.
I put them kinda far away from each other
maybe that's why
Yeah, the way CS1 handles healthcare and education is not very sensible lol.
Just follow the 10 blocks or less method and you should be good for proper coverage.
I was thinking of buying CS2 but I think I should learn with CS1 first
I usually put mine within 7 blocks or less, just to be safe.
Oh CS2 is a totally different beast hehe.
Completely different systems and there is no comparison.
It seems a lot better, but idk much about either games so I will have to learn them both
it will be a good break from fps games
Please check out my unofficial CS2 Features Guide for a good way to quickly ascertain the, seemingly, very complex new features in CS2: https://docs.google.com/document/d/159ba82vmPhwzUhfVJRJqFjDuvexj2jlLZw8oSk8-O9g/edit?usp=sharing
I've tried to make the guide as disgestible as possible.
I will take a look at it
Most of the community is very excited for CS2 and for very good reason: its looking way more interesting and exciting than CS1.
I'm curious if people will be able to transfer cities between CS1 and CS2
No, unfortunately.
CS2 is an entirely new base code and engine utilization. CS1 uses a very old version of Unity and CS2 uses a much more recent version of Unity.
In literally every way, CS2 is an utterly different game under the hood.
Even the way maps are stored as files are completely different.
It may be possible later if modders find a way to make a converter, but I doubt it. It would require serious programming to build a tool like that.
that's sad
some real old saves will be probably forgotten
the same clinics rule of 10 blocks apply to schools, and high school ?
Pretty much.
The exceptions are fire and police.
Fire and police often has very good coverage even with long distances, so you typically can put a single police station in a 20 block radius and get good coverage.
Healthcare and education of all types needs to be often and tight.
I often make service corridors/campuses with all services including fire and police, even if its not necessary, that way its a guarantee everyone will have good coverage for all their needs.
I always put the fire and the police together
cemeteries idk if i should put them in some random place that if fits or if there's some right way to put it
So, cemeteries are a bit weird in CS1.
My recommendation is try to place them NEAR your other services, but not next to. You can do this if you are using crematoriums instead.
Also, you can often place maybe or two similar to how Fire and Police works, so maybe 1 per 20 blocks.
is it ok to put them in the middle of residential zones?
It seems kinda weird having a cemetery side to side with houses
Um, yes, but I would put a tile or two of empty space between them and other homes.
Unfortunately no. You would need this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869784351
thx, I will try to install it
Here is an example of my service corridor:
Here is my Downtown Service Corridor:
For context:
You don't need to. I do because it adds land value, reduces traffic noise, and increases comfort across the city.
However, I have Unlock All and Unlimited Money always on.
I just want to have a city. I don't want to care about bloody money lol.
lol
This city, as it currently sits, would cost almost 10 million to put together and has an upkeep of nearly 30,000 per week or more.
sheesh
At first I wanted to use unlimited money and everything unlocked, but I decided that I should play without it first just to know more about the game
Oh you totally should! It'll give you a great grasp of how to deal with upkeep, taxes, demand, etc... when budget is limited.
it looks hella cool
Oh thank you! I am trying 😛
If I buy the game on steam would I be able to play on the same save?
Oh you should.
The save doesn't care about the platform.
Only Console to PC cannot be transferred.
I will see if I buy it on steam because of the mods
Totally up to you darling. 🙂
lol
city got real big since I started it
but sometimes I got some random comercial buildings getting abbandoned and not a lot of customers
Yeah, that's common in the beginning.
You try to fulfill Commercial needs, but there's not enough workers or customers.
Whoa, looks like services and other needs got disconnected for some reason.
Without seeing your city directly, I couldn't tell you what might be wrong.
You'll have to investigate.
idk what just happened but something broke that I know for sure
I would check your services and road connections.
Make sure nothing is out of place.
yeah
