and do you mind sharing the college if you are I like looking at the programs

For me, my university only offered graduate degrees in urban planning/design, so the options for undergrad were pretty much limited to a certificate program
If you want to go to grad school, then your undergrad is important but not all encompassing, and many graduate students in urban planning come from previous degrees and professions which seem completely unrelated to planning.
If you’re interested in planning, and you like the look of the program at the school you’re at, then try it out! Your freshman year of college, esp in the US with the style of liberal arts edu, is very malleable, and if you plan well you could change majors multiple times over yr first year or so and still graduate on time
I’d definitely recommend taking a class if it’s something you want to explore more, as well as some other interests you may have, or reach out to the advisor of the program or a professor who may be listed for a particular course that sounds interesting to you and ask to have a quick meeting,
