Right now all of the processing parts of CL aren't very well connected to the harvest parts of the timber industry. Any trucks wanting to go to the sawmill have gotta drive through the biggest, densest residential development in the city. Meantime in the current build a road was run across the highlands almost, but not quite, through to the sawmill area, as seen at this timestamp: https://youtu.be/Es03OD7OhfI?t=1509
CPP was even talking at the time about not wanting a cul-de-sac, but then went back over and hooked in over by the farm industry. But that road stub there is screaming to be connected through to the sawmills if some way down that hill can be found: The lumber company people would want it as a faster route and the residents would want it so's forestry trucks stop rumbling past their front yards.
