So I've got a map of my city's area, and I've been wanting to do a city on it and 'recreate' my hometown without strictly following how things are laid out IRL. Thing is, there isn't ANY really heavy industry in town like what is shown in CS - all of that is in the bigger sister city across the river/state border from us. But we have a very long history of both farming and logging here, so having those set up would be perfect for starting industry. I've been looking for a few weeks without any luck in finding something that would let me do this (obviously via mods). Anyone know of anything that would suit the bill til I get the actual industries going? (I have the correct DLC, it's just wrong timing.) Maybe I missed something in the ploppables category?
#Is there a way to make early (pre-district) industry be farming or logging based?

You would have to use unlock all I believe
you could also use a mod like Extended Game Options to unlock just up until the Worthy Village milestone
Thank you for this
This looks like exactly what I needed, thank you!
Just bear in mind that ordinary commercial will still require goods from ordinary industry
If you have a lot of farming, maybe you'll want Local and Organic Produce specialised commercial
Is it something that can be set up to be "shipped in" from outside the city? If not I have a spot that is technically in the bigger city down south that can just be the industry area
But it'll have to be after I get the second plot of land
Yeah, you can probably survive on imports early game
