i was wondering how the visuals for the entity were made. if i were doing it, id rotoscope footage of myself w black but that sounds like itd suck and theres probably a better way to do it.

Just wanted to comment on this part of the video there used to be an old bug in Minecraft where dogs could strand up on their own when the owner gets attacked (or attacks?). This (plus this) is the only pretty good info on this bug I could find, and I could've sworn that it used to happen to me as well, so there is that. Wanted to comment on this just to let yall know that this is probably not a weird thing or anything afaik.

Afaik the itchio is unrelated to the YouTube. They just went by wpeoif for many services before switching

I dunno if that's been said before and it has been some time since the video released but I've had an idea during the entire thing that it may be about generative AI
It takes over the original creator's channel and tries to mimic it while having no idea what it actually was and simultaneously hallucinating

I think there has been some talk about the it being AI or a rogue program which is a part of the game, however I'm not sure of evidence of it pointing to AI. Other than the titles for the second playlist it just doesn't strike me as specifically pointing to AI.
It mimics the creator, but to me that just seems like entity see entity do 🤷♂️

I can't help but find biblical parallels to the creation story. A creator (player), creation (statues), and a deceiver (the anomaly/rose). But its not a 1 to 1 comparison so maybe im just pulling this out of my butt.

yeah, this was mentioned before. We believe the creator used the username wpeoif until this series and there seems to be no connection other than the username. Someone played some of the games and didnt find anything

I just came up with a new interpretation. What if that black figure is just a representation of the creator trying to switch their normal mc series to an "ARG" because of the perception of the viewers and screwing up their world in the process trying to chase this ideal. I do recall someone sending an email to wpeoif when _subway released and they responded here: #1466165086577229995 message
Their original intention was just to make a cool modern beta kind of video series, something like what Mongster does on his alt, but derailed it in favor of making an ARG. To be fair, they wrote something really nice and I am appreciative that they went through with it, but it initially wasn't to their standards.

Yeah I agree that's a pretty cool idea. I'm trying to wrap my head around it and create my own interpretation. I wonder is there is anything more with the rose.
Like, why would the creator of the series choose a rose for the entity and why do we see the other statues' heads be replaced.
Also another note, but it occurred to me that the story in a way could be likened to some monsters which are known to mimic humans like Skin-Walkers or the Wendigo

it surprised me to see that (as far as I can remember) in the video it wasnt mentioned that the orange flower, orange everything in "looking up" is another example of the yellow+red symbolism

There was a scene where the player placed down a yellow flower next to the red flower and later on in one of the other videos the thing goes to that exact spot and stares for a few seconds, like it was considering if taking the player's character was a good choice since the player was being somewhat nice towards the creature

and in one of the blogs they commented that one of there videos had blown up about 2 months prior but when i checked the account connected to the blog it had only been bad a month prior so it couldnt be the same account
