The trial chambers have excessive symbolism such as on the pots, as well as the mob faces on the walls, similar to those in the woodland mansion. The chamber also has axes instead of swords in most of their chests, with axe use going further with the scrape pottery sherd, as well as needing to scrape the weathered copper bulbs with an axe to get light, and with axes being the illagers main melee weapon, it isn’t too far fetched of an idea. The trial chambers also have the trial spawners, which can summon in mobs, having the common theme of power over life and death that the illagers have.
#What if the Trial Chambers was built by the illagers?

Axes being used to scrape off wax is literally just real life. It's a game mechanic that didn't originate and/or is exclusive to trial chambers.
I mean the illagers definitely have something to do with the trial chambers since you can use the bad omen potion to upgrade the loot you get
The intention is clearly that the trial omen comes from trial vaults, and raid omen comes from illager captains. Making two bottles was probably deemed unnecessary from a gameplay matter
In addition bad omen is literally exclusive to trial chambers and illager raids
i think the devs are intends add moe "ominous events" if im not mistaken
Yes, but the axe is a popular weapon among illagers, and would make sense to be the weapon of choice for anyone going in.
Also the architecture is kinda reminiscent of gale from dungeons
with floating platforms nd all
