didn't you read the text first
why do u have to do this, (the roman numerals)
i said it's not an ARG
oh so its a puzzle
yes
how am i suppose to decrypt that

K, you already went down the wrong path
auto-translate to english doesn't happen until you've reach translating the other two languages
this is an example path i sent to Shimmering in DMs
but for this puzzle, it's way longer
rot8000 doesnt do anythin
example of doing encryption; doing decryption would be vice versa
am i the first person here
to go by guess is probably difficult so imma just add the path to the original post and you continue to solve for it
yes
not sure if i also get Shimmering and Angela to join is gonna be possible
but you can get Llyon if you like
also, there's no point making a Google Slides file for this cuz it's just a puzzle
INIT: 54700
SET: 3, 9, 6, 0, 8
It was a beautiful night on Wednesday on June 12 2024. Here I was, decrypting some ciphertext to be the first to solve a puzzle. So, I decided to...
Llyoncub!
@dense vault
or DM him the link
or that
i know with Angela and Shimmering, they don't like getting pinged so imma just DM them
if anyon wants to know how i got inspired to make this, tenon's &#-W-S texts
ok
So this is a multi step cipher?
kinda like the example i showed to you in DMs
Interesting
but much longer
the first thing that Anothershadowznow did when he opened the PDF file is to auto-translate to English
auto-translating to English was where he went wrong
the path i used was (where ciphertext type is A and lingual translation is B) from A6 to B3
Who pinged me
Anothershadowznow
btw, i don't think anyone will be able to solve this puzzle till they figure how to get from B3 to A6 then solve the multi-step smoothly
the biggest (i think) block obstacle is to go from B3 to A6
like Anothershadowz approached was correct on doing translate
but translate to English is where he approached a dead-end
to correct you bro, you weren't supposed to translate to English
you translate to English when you approach B1
Hint 1: language used in PDF file (B3)
Hint 2: a ROT cipher (A6)
Hint 3: the first approach Anothershadowz did in solving
↑↑↑ see here to see who pinged you ↑↑↑
@dense vault
@tall lava
Someone mention that
sounds unsolvable. google translate is not exactly reversible
Which is why I asked Shimmering if I should just give the answer of the B3-A6 obstacle, knowing of some error I might have made with the puzzle
But he says just let them guess, so I just let it go that with the text in the PDF being Japanese, using Google Translate to translate to an Asian language (hint 4) will give the answer in ROT cipher
If none can still give an answer for 4 hints, Imma just ss the answer for Obstacle B3-A6 and the rest should be pretty easy
whatever that is
Is that supposed to be the final outcome or just the answer to Obstacle B3-A6?
thats the first decryption of the encrypted text]
Okay... I guess no one's gonna get it, might as well show how I did Obstacle B3-A6
Also the answer is, in the encryption process for Obstacle B3-A6, after encrypting the code in A5, I encrypted the code in ROT8000 (A6) then translated to Japanese (B3).
rephrase it
There, big giveaway, should be easy now
You'll see in the picture I send later
Maybe it's just me bad at making puzzles
what will u recomend
- A short poem by Unknown that I read back in 2010 | creator: zenergyoztorm
- The Cipher Exercises | creator: shadowz
- ciphergames | creator: glottalstop symbol guy
- Advanced Cipher Examples | creator: Asleigh
Feels like this was a bad idea after all
translation is reversible, right?
ig ss it
At least for A1-B2 and A2-A1, those would be reversible
Otw, I am gonna just have to overlay a new version of the same puzzle on top of the old one using just ciphertext, no lingual translation
then give us a hint on the next cipher
dont tell me its hard like:
AES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'__________________shadowzanother'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'shadowzananother'},'CBC','Raw','Raw',{'option':'Hex','string':''})
AES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'anothershadowzanothershadowzanot'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'anshadowzanother'},'CBC','Raw','Raw',{'option':'Hex','string':''})
Triple_DES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwx'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'abcdefgh'},'CBC','Raw','Raw')
Triple_DES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'2264524101965474'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'44865412'},'CBC','Raw','Raw')
XSalsa20({'option':'UTF8','string':'anothershadowzanothershadowzanot'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'shadowzanothershadowzano'},0,'20','Raw','Raw')
XOR({'option':'UTF8','string':'anothershadowz'},'Standard',false)
Triple_DES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'anothershadowz0123456789'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'abubabub'},'CBC','Raw','Raw')
AES_Encrypt({'option':'UTF8','string':'xxxanothershadowzxxxanothershado'},{'option':'UTF8','string':'location31locati'},'CBC','Raw','Raw',{'option':'Hex','string':''})
XOR({'option':'UTF8','string':'bushhidthefactsanothershadowzwillexposehim'},'Standard',false)
To_Base64('A-Za-z0-9+/=')\```
The answer I send to you are in different languages
For Obstacle B3-A6
B3 is Japanese; A6 is traditional Chinese
would this be any better for you @oak vigil ?
if not, than i might just go with creating a second version to overlay the old one
alr im workin on it

whatever that
where the version we using now, i made with Google Translate, dcode.fr/en, and cryptii.com
wrong move, hint: base code
Path A6-A5 was from ROT8000 to a base code
i did convert it from hex b16
For converting the code in A6 to A5, you'll need to use cryptii
the full hex chain:
i used cryptii
basically i designed this so the solver, given the hint of 3 lingual translations and 6 cipher types, would go to solve the code by deciphering one code which gives the next code and continue in choosing whether to trslate the code or decipher it
in decryption process, it would be:
1) B3 = Japanese
2) A6 = ROT8000
3) A5
4) A4
5) A3
6) A2
7) A1
8) B2
9) B1
original message```
what about the hex chain
This was supposed to be your answer to A5, now use that to solve A4
A5 and A4 uses hex chains or by character in the format of hexadecimal grouped by bytes according to cryptii.com
where i mentioned about two codes using custom alphabets, those are A1 and A2
this should be really easy now right?
this one
is the answer to A5
now use it to solve for A4
which one is A5 and which one is A4
A4 you have to solve
how am i gonna use the "geadr..." to solve a4
don't you understand all the pings yet
I was saying that the full hex chain you sent me in a text file is the answer to A5
GEEZ Louise
...Since 2 raised to the 768th is a number with around 231 decimal digits, this is effectively beyond practical computational limits.
Conclusion
Given the extraordinarily large key space, even with 60,000 high-performance computers, the time required to exhaust the key space through brute force is impractically long, likely exceeding the age of the universe. Therefore, without additional information or weaknesses in the encryption method, brute-force decryption of the given text is infeasible.
this from chatgpt
well, if not using ChatGPT. it's still possible right?
chatgpt estimated that it would take 2^768 years
for 60000 computers attempting to break your encrypted text while all running at once
cuz to some like Ashleigh say that "ChatGPT has no use and should be banned."
so it seems there's no point in continuing since A4 is unreachable
according to the chatgpt response or..?
or as you say from ChatGPT, it will take 1.5525180923007089351489794884625e+231 years to got from A5 to A4
i asked it to calculate for all steps combined together
not just OBS A5-A4
maybe when i remake the second one, i can continue to use multiple ciphers but only one website for all that
rather than some from dcode, some from cryptii, and some from Google Translate
by more narrowing down, chatgpt says that to solve it after solving OBS-B3/A6 will take (10 raised to the 167th) years
much higher than my 10^52 years for the ORCF-X6 cipher
(both assumpstions with 60000 computers all at once)
even when i specify it to "assume that the 60000 computers can guess a trillion every second and guessing from the big bang to the current moment" it still is unreasonably long
hm, yeah, imma make a overlay soon
not now cuz i am out all day/night
Saturday, i'll make an overlay version then see how it goes
do u like the estimates chatgpt (via me) provided?
as for now, anyone else besides you, llyon, tenon, and Shimmering can try to solve given the information now
sorta and no
why
like Ashleigh says, the bot is no use
that i can agree to
i sometimes post stuff in another Discord server asking stuff related to tech and ChatGPT's answers are no help at all
the only time chatgpt is useful is when u want it to write a story or give arg ideas
the estimates chatgpt provided here are like almost overexaggerated
but rgn's tominecon7z video shows they might not be overexaggerated as they seem
gtg now, g'bye
Y'asking the Q if this is an IQ test
?
Well I didn't say it was, why you think?
also why did shimmering quit
thread dead
popularity gone
also just made the overlay
if you guys do get the final outcome this time, i can try to get Shimmering to rejoin
@oak vigil
??
overlay version of the previous one
and should be much easier since there are no lingual translations
i got brainf* code that cant be translated?
excuse me but i love to do the t-w-s things tenon does like this:
AGENCY: 32414-192654-2264837
SET: 2, 7, 1, 8, 2
Janice, how much time do we have left?
Oh, it's so funny we're both named Janice, only my surname is Clarkson and yours is Ellen.
Come on, we need to find an exit before we're caught!
We won't. There's not enough time. We'll just surrender.
Fine.```
Idk i love yapping
It means nothing
Also the brainf* code
At which part?
After rot8000 on the overla
Imma check out the formula page afterwards but I definitely didn't use Brainf### for the code puzzle
Like I said, I definitely didn't use Brainf###, but it's some kind of ________f### code
Here's a hint that got nothing to do with the song but a word in the song: https://open.spotify.com/track/4ZJVtATf78hjgRe9Ov8csj?si=itmRUK70Qmy2XraLBOlInw
Apply that word from the song to the F-bomb and that is your key to solving the next part of the puzzle
Why did u call it "forever lost stuff"?
I recognized the name Janice Clarkson
where did i reference that, its janice ellen?
Janice Ellen is a new character I may not be familiar with but Janice Clarkson I am definitely familiar with
I think chapter 1
how was jan clarkson referenced?
By having the same name as first name as Janice Ellen, idk; also why you asking me about the two Janices here?
Why not ping-ask me in your Forever Lost threads?
For Ch.1 or Ch.2
actually lets continue the questikn there
actually i can use dcode serarch tool
Smort
revive this thread
so i assume no one's getting a clue what the next cipher i used after ROT8000 in the decryption process
even with the song there, and the clue that comes along with it, no progress
so here's another hint if the one with the song was no help
of all the F### codes out there, i only know 3 of them: 🧠 F###, ⏪ F###, and JSF
like i mentioned before, i didn't use 🧠 F### in the puzzle so that means the next cipher in the decryption process after ROT8000 is either ⏪ F### or JSF
this should be EZ

pretty sure im on the wrong path
im repurposing my old ORCF blog for detailing this solving
k, so far, you got it where you were given the code in question in the PDF file is ROT8000
Converting it gives you the next cipher, ReverseF###
from after reversef### gives you an extremely long string of numbers starting with 19439073940746239...
the next cipher used to determine the next cipher after that has something to do with this emoji
☸️
along with that emoji is another coded hint using Roman A1Z26

Straddling checkberboard?
Really, ok, what kinda disk/wheel ciphers do you know of? Use the ones you know and solve to receive the next code for the next cipher
I remember using mexican army cipher in foreverlost
But what about the part I had to b64 cuz it translated to unreadable b2 data
There you go, that the cipher you use to get the next code and guess for what the next cipher is
Imma check on that, I did use a Base N code but I'm gonna have to check the cheat sheet then give you a hint afterwards regarding the next cipher type
After you decipher this code from the Mexican Army Cipher Wheel 🇲🇽🪖☸️
By unreadable b2 data, i mean like "(NUL) (ACK) (NUL) (NUL) (ETX) Bhen&bek!_ënsœn (ACK)..."
A[XIV(xiv)] | B[XLIV(x) | C[LXVIII(xii) | D[LXXXVI(xx)

that's your hint using Roman A1Z26

thats the NJLT decryption result btw
given V[L(v)]: V is the wheel pos no., L is a number, and v is an A1Z26 number of a letter in the alphabet from A-Z
FZE...JLE
so at wheel pos no.V, the number is 50 with its corresponding letter of E
get how i am doing it here now?
ye, i did decrypt it with the key NJLT
.HTLIEY((d (non-printable-chars) when i decode from b32
yes, so from this code and the base code you've figured out, solve for the next code and the next cipher to decipher the next code
base 32?
yes
pov: i decrypted from b32
according to the cheat sheet, using B32 to decrypt this code you found should lead you to the next code which looks similar to Navajo but not exactly
which doesnt and instead give me weird chars i have to b64 once again to make it readable

Janice Ellen, what did you do?
Pretty sure I did nothin.
----
++++++[++.++]++-++

Johngamelover good, no?
Pretty sure yes.
Why?
JohnGameLover is a unique art form in the realm of ARGs. It is an ARG with so much detail I could probably stand there for hours watching a JohnGameLover video. Don't forget the introduction to it - it's pretty cool.
Ok, what?
You asked if I love JohnGameLover and I said yes. Now about you.
I also do love JohnGameLover because JohnGameLover is a pretty cool thing.
Alright then.

What's your opinion on 20w14∞?
I find it pretty cool, considering how much boq tried to hide the 43rd world.
Oh, alright.
20w14inf is a masterpiece for 2020.
Oh?
Yes it is.
-----
What's your opinion on TheNick56?
Pretty cool. All I have to say.

What's your opinion on A SHORT POEM BY UNKNOWN I READ BACK IN 2010 by a user known as He7sb!$_(REDACTED)_$!sb7eH?
Pretty neat puzzle. Can't solve it every time I tried though.
Pretty sure no one can. I asked the other people at the Estacs secret office and they are not able to decipher the code.
I guess, we'll have to rely on 60000 computers to crack the code.
I guess. But millions of years? Impossible, 0% possible.```
according to the following image, from down to up in decryption progress, this is what you're supposed to get after you use B32 to decipher the code
from bottom to top:
ReverseF### >> Mexican Army Cipher Wheel with wheel pos of 14(N), 44(J), 68(L), 86(T) >> cipher TBD
as shown, cipher TBD is supposed to look something like Navajo but not necessarily
think again, probably blinkered into a dead end again
try checking ur steps
where i have the area highlighted in gray, i put that into dcode.fr to encrypt using Base 32
same result here
nothing i see wrong
looking at this, there's nothing in the cheat sheet that suggest such text was shown when i made the puzzle so might avtually have went somewhere wrong
i mean my b32
actually
the b32 decoding for the 1st part is cprrect
The others not correct
for this, you took the FZE...JLE code and had it translated to B16 which got you that code above
".HTLIEY-AC........." (non printablr chars)
why not try and decrypt the same FZE...JLE code into a string of printable characters?
I tried
it should give you the next code
And it didnt work
and from there determine the next cipher
It just showed me HTLIEY-AC then a lot of gibberish and data
Thats why i B16 it in the first place, to make it readable
hmmm, then i guess just keep searching where you made the mistake
cuz that's not it for me
Actually when i get on my computer ill screenshot
^ i think you already did, just a part of the ss
Ill do a full screenshot
Actually try decrypting the code wheel cipher urself then try a B32 decryption, follow the path I took
ok i think i can see how you got the gibberish thing
after finding the string of numbers from Mexican Army Cipher Wheel (MACW) given the wheel pos., from MACW to B32, the 6 extra equal signs probably got removed
which gave you this
instead of this
cuz even in the encryption process, nothing was deleted
so smth's up
did u try decrypting
yes
and did u get the same gibberish data result
thru encryption, the last 6 = signs are still in the code
but vice versa, they are removed
which explains why you getting
try adding the 6 ====== signs
ah, i also noticed something that's missing
what
after JLE, the remaining characters (idk how they got removed) are QA====
Although in the cheat sheet, the remaining characters after JLE are ======
im missing smth else
Hlo?
Hi
BZ all day ysdy, will continue to be so 2day
Just for now, assuming you've got the previous code is FZE...JLE======, use B32, to solve for the next code and the cipher to solve the next code
the image shows it didnt work
k, so the unknown bug that is causing a decryption error, leave it
just start from this code in B32 and continue to decipher:

JQRRKJQLQTZXQTZWFBQZYQKJQZQKXFVQTZYXGZQTPXXSOY
what ever that means
you sure that's your decded answer using the B32 cipher?
cuz the next code determined after deciphering this code with B32 to a string of printable characters is supposed to give you a string of jumbled letters connected by dashes and separated by SPACEs
basically similar to but not exactly Navajo
i did decode the navajo
Isn't exactly but similar to Navajo
After decoding from B32, you were supposed to decode the next given code with another cipher type or two then deciphering again with Navajo
reverse + navajo i know
i saw what went wrong, and this is why you shouldnt use macw or any other cipher that only accepts letters on a alphanumeric text e.g. base32:
ALL THE DIGITS ARE REMOVED FROM THE TEXT
come here
where
Mexican Army Cipher Wheel
ah
what about the decoded navajo
since that's the flaw then, should i just reveal the entire answer then?
or continue to let you solve it
hadn't you figured this out, i would keep tryna give hints or wonder how you got wrong
reveal it
since you were stuck between MACW and B32
this is a more clear image if you like

I deleted that when you and Tenon figured out that some things translated are irreversible
so i overlayed the new format over the old one
OLD: 6 ciphers and 3 languages
NEW: 8 ciphers and 0 languages
the original code was in Japanese (B3)
the last cipher used in the old format was ROT8000 (A6)
since ROT8000 is basically every basic/special character turned into a Chinese character, i used B3 to do the finishing touch

Should Be EZ Cipher Word Puzzles
EZ Cipher Word Puzzles
thats not ez at all
thats plain impossible
real impossible
i'm assuming you used hill cipher
it can only work with some matrices
I am using matrices, but the left and right matrices aren't even matrices at all
They're code words is a particular cipher per matrix
Numbers in left matrices are code words in one cipher while numbers in right matrices are in another cipher
Every 4-letter word you get in each right matrix is a hint to an 8-letter word in the left matrix
There nothing with math in solving, it's just design
thats so hard to crack
how about we skip that
or replace its cipher
Bruh really
so?
left matrix is a 8-letter word in binary (b2) with one letter being in A1Z26
right matrix is a 4-letter word in hexadecimal (B6)
so in the first example, the left matrix shows line 2 is a1z26
0000 0015 = the letter O
the rest, when inputted into a B2 to text translator, reads MUNTAIN
so the whole left matrix reads MOUNTAIN
the 4-letter word in B6 is supposed to act as a hint to the 8-letter word in B2/A1Z26
as shown, the order you insert the numbers in the right matrix you put into a b6 to text translator
here you get 66 75 6a 69 reads FUJI
Fuij is a mountain in Japan
as seen in the PDF file, there are 8 pairs of matrices
each pair of matrices has a left matrix where one of the letters is a letter in a1z26
collect all the letters in a1z26 in each left matrix to solve for the bonus word in the last matrices pair (which doesn't have any letters in a1z26)
a 4-letter hint is also provided for the bonus word, hint for bonus word also in B6
you got a lot to read bro
So this is the puzzle my matrices puzzle is based off of
just for the example
that does not even look like that
Ok I give up
????
