#What were the massive fossils in the nether?

This is the question I’ve wanted an answer too.

The fossils found in the nether are mostly found in Soulsand valleys, they look like rib cages, and others look like the body of a large wither. Giants (the zombies from alpha versions) wouldn’t be the fossils, since zombies aren’t native to any other dimension besides the overworld.

In my opinion the fossils wouldn’t have belong to massive dragons, dinosaurs, or any creatures like that. But they (possibly) would’ve belong to massive ghast’s, the rib-cages seen in the nether are in a almost square-like shape, and nearly look like a ghast, but where would the tendrils on the bottom of the ghast’s be? The fossils could’ve belong to any creature, maybe to massive hoglins from years ago, or if Mat-pats nether iceage theory is true, the fossils could’ve belonged to massive mammoth-like creatures with fur, which could’ve went extinct. These creatures could’ve looked like massive sniffers, but that wouldn’t make sense since sniffers aren’t native to the nether.

This is only a theory, one that might never get a question, but I like the theory that massive creatures existed in the nether.
