'Bluestone'

I know this was awhile now but whatever happened to "bluestone" it just showed up and Mojang just shrugged and moved on.
I haven't found much media on this so I'm just curious if there's a general explanation or not. There is no way this was a mistake because before they showed it was regular redstone.
Does anyone know by chance if it's even in the Minecraft file?

Wondering if you guys have any theory's or thoughts or actual answers.

it was a nimation error on part of the anim studio that made the animation for the trailer

I won't argue with you but they had redstone before the bluestone? Is it just coincidence
