and you can find those decks for 40 euros, if i didnt get the decks now for free i would still buy them
Damn 40eur? Might buy one in advance
yup wait
48 at my local shop
but please dont buy jart
they feel like cheap cardboard
its the algorithm man. the algorithm is hitting all us 30 somethin year olds with that hard nostalgia
Yo
My theory is after "growing up" we learn who we are. We learn that adulthood is a myth and go back to the things that gave us joy in the past to keep as a part us us going forward
can you tighten a king pin as much as you want or will it break the bushing if you go to far
If you overtighten, it can damage the bushing
Yes you can tighten it as much as you want, yes it will crush the bushing.
If you want it to feel tighter without damaging the bushings, get harder bushings. Bushings are a consumable item that gets forgotten about for some reason. But changing them to different ones can completely change the feel of the board and they tend to be pretty cheap to play around with
Anyone got any advice for wanting to get into skating?
Get a board, look up some YouTube videos, and wipe out for a while like we all did!
ah rad ok cool. so they are like motorcycle handlebar bushings
Actually, yeah pretty similar. Except skateboard bushings help provide the lean angle squishiness/resistance for turning and dont really help dampen anything. But I believe they are made out of a similar polyurethane.
The shape of the bushings can also impact how hard they feel too. Cone, barrel, ect, it's an entire rabbit hole you can explore lol
i do love a good rabit hole
Skate 3 gor me into skate boarding 💀
I just started 5 days ago today I learned how to Ollie, and I am now good at manualling
Here is also a video of me going down my first ramp, can someone give me some advice???
Bend your knees and lean in a little more, youre a little stiff on your board
Thanks man
told one of my friends who is about to turn 52 this year that im getting back into skateboarding at 38 and asked if he had any advice and he says "i picked up the skateboard again at 47 and the best advice i can give you is to stretch and dont get cocky"
I know a skate shops are the best option but is there any good rep online shops i find it more convenient
Nice! The couple that shreds together and whatnot.
Yessir!!
Even got him som matching DC's so he doesn't have to scuff up his nice shoes
They're gaudy af but he likes his stuff loud n colorful haha
And it matches too well
My cousin's husband helped buy me my first board so I'm passing it on and keeping the gesture alive
I love skateboarding man <3
That's awesome
I'm so pumped for it to get here
Gonna teach em how to roll! Find out if he's reg or goofy! Maybe start learning Ollie's depending on how fast he catches on! I'm just so excited
Oh a brand newbie. Good luck!
Yup! He showed interest so obviously I bought him an entire complete, shoes, and one of the nice skate tools with a ratchet <3
you guys know of any wide toe box skate shoes my toes section of my foot is very wide.
I find vans to have a decent wide toe box, but I also go a half size up from what they say my shoe size is supposed to be and that helps
wel hot damn i just shocked myself. I was outside try to do tick tacks (unsuccessfully and going backwards) and got stuck in a crack and for some reason i thought to myself "do an ollie" and by some miracle, i do in fact remember how to do one and landed it. twice
The Lakai Cambridge has a pretty wide toebox. I just got a pair and they're very roomy, yet feel secure
Working up the courage to hit up my first skate event locally here. Not that I think I’ll get judged or something, just that I’m so bad and out of practice now that I’ll be in the way of the good skaters lmao
Just do it. You'll probably do better than you think. And it's your first time. You won't be amazing at everything once you do it once. Get a feel for it for the future then practice and improve for it
Oh man it’s worse than it being just once, I’m an old man now (30s is ancient) and USED to be good. Now I got like 3 tricks and less balance 😂😂
I’m gonna end up going I think, but man I feel past my prime haha
Never hurts to try. Just don't break a hip, gramps 👍🏻
My collarbone was made in the 1900s, I’m chalked for sure 😞
I just started learning to skateboard. I kicked around a bit when I was 14, but I wasn’t really doing tricks, and I sucked. Now it's day 2, and I can do moving ollies, a fakie, and reverts. But my board has cruiser wheels—do you think that really matters if I want to learn tricks? It seems fine, though I wouldn’t know. I’ve fallen like three times, but that’s probably just because I suck.
my yard concrete is rocky so
Yeah you're a goner. Nice knowing you, soldier 🫡
wanna try it
as a wide footed person, my current skate shoes are vans filmore decons and they fit well. maybe go for them
Alright, so I’m gonna have to practice more before attending anything 😂 I got like 3 tricks down. Figured I’d show up at this indoor skate thing and there’d be some other guys that aren’t good..then someone laced a 540 flip in front of me and I realized I was just in the way 😂
My mom just told me I should “learn how to properly hold my skateboard”
And when I asked her how she thinks I should be holding it, she grabbed the board and mall grabbed it
😭🙏
I think I’ll keep carrying it by the tail
Cant wait for the summer to get here, Im definitely picking up my board again
Hell yeah 🔥
Yikes. You have to either disown her now or get her a board
unfortunately I got a dollar to my name...
time to look into disowning ig 🤷♂️
Hey if you gamble that you'll have 0 dollars. Big money
massive, even.
what i tell anyone with park anxiety: just like they're there to do their thing, so are you
just learn a bit of park ettiequte (legit just dont sit on obstacles, pay attention, wait ur turn and watch where ur going) and ur fine
I've legit never seen a kickflip broken down like this before and need to make sure whoever needs it can see it!
https://youtube.com/shorts/IQox8UWjRZ8?si=p5IESjPwgDxdk7rA
All I did was post a circle jerks song on my IG reels.
everything skaterIQ puts out is absolute gold.
any advice for dealing with these rolled curbs? not my picture, but this is the kind we have at my house and ive got no idea how to handle it (still new, dont know how to ollie well rolling)
i feel like if i try to manual over that, im going to biff it real good . know what i mean
Going down/rolling off:
Don't try to "manual it", that might make you go a bit to far back. Just slightly lift up your front foot briefly so your front lifts ever so slightly.
To build up confidence for doing that, you can actually just roll off that kind of curb without doing anything. to get a better feel for where your wheels will hit and drop down on each point.
That'll let you know when to do a baby manual to lift up the front just a bit.
Don't worry about clearing it completely, your gonna be fine.
For rolling up:
Basically the same thing as rolling down. You'll already have the timing from rolling downward off them and that will help with trying to go up them. You don't even have to try to ollie up just yet. Just go at moderate speed and lift up you front leg a little bit. You'll know by feel whenever you are far enough over to reweight your front. Difference is when that happens shift most of your weight to the front foot so the back just follows along and makes it up with you.
Practicing that will actually help out a lot as you get more comfortable with your ollie and help you get the timing down on when you need to pop! And these kinds of curbs are pretty safe to practice on because of them not really having an "edge" to trip you up
New setup lessgooo
Im going to take my board outside for the first time in years today 💯
Enjoy for us!
I shall do that!!
Niiiiiiiice!
It was so fun but damn my lungs are dead
I haven't REALLY gone out in about 4 years as well. Gonna change that a few times this spring and summer
Hoping to get my first board tomorrow! See what this skate shop I know has
Well first one since I was about 11 lol
Want to get into skating properly as a kid it was more just random nonsense
What ya looking to get?
Skate shoe recommendations?
I like my dcs. Lakai is also super comfy
Lakai, Nike SB Dunks, Ishods, and Nyjahs are crowd favorites
Not sure yet gonna see if they'll help me out see what feels comfortable and fits my feet / style
Probably an 8"
Good luck!
Is NB any good I kinda like the look of the NB 440 V2's
New Balance is very good
I think I'm going to get thoese
Heck yeah. Make sure to try them on in store first
I definitely will
New skater and this is my first proper board
I heard you get better pop on hockey boards and the graphics on them are just the coolest anyway so
Hell yea dude. Enjoy! Have fun with it. Great feeling to have your first "real deal" setup
yeah
i got a undercarriage kit to start because buying all the trucks and wheels and everything seperately wouldve cost too much
but the bearings didnt even fit the wheels so i got seperate venom bearings and they spun way better anyway so
gonna try and do my first kick flip i’ll come back if i land it
Did u land it?
tore my acl🥀
New board for the wall so stoked
Hell yea. I like that. I'm grabbing hangers today so gonna start decorating my wall
nice and I use sk8ology hangers just so they don't fall off the wall and get damaged
Ask anyone that's a usual here, I swear by Hella hangers. How do yours stick to the wall? Command strips, anchor and screw?
screw
I've been using command strips but I do have the option to anchor and screw
nice
Ill post pics tonight
sounds good cant wait to see 🙂
Hopped on the board for the first time today in about 12 years
I moved about and that's about it lol
You fall?
Thankfully not, actually felt quite comfortable weirdly familiar despite it being so long
Lucky Green 1's. Very solid shoe !
W, you earned my respect. Gotta scuff them up
These are clean af! Love that colorway
me tooooo!!!!
Sick graphic but what's with the weird shape I'm new to skate boarding and I understand it's a more classic shape from back in the day but whats the appeal of that board shape over the more stereotypical skate board shape?
I love fishtails and people I know talk about using them for daily commutes and whatnot. They're great for carving, a very smooth ride, and I love how wide they can get. It's like surfing on land. Tons of stability and so so smooth on concrete
What Kaiza said explains the shape of it
hello, im new to skating and im trynna buy my first skateboard
any recomendations? my budget isnt too high
What sort of budget you got ?
I like BAKER Decks had a REAL aswell. I liked them both
You can buy a baker complete for like 100$ I think
See if you can find a local skate shop they're usually fairly cheap mine had a bunch of sales on
there are not over here sadly
i already bought a barely used second hand one
anyone knows if its decent for a beginner?
bought it for 50€, quite a good deal
Definitely gonna be perfect for beginning
I thought this was a tech deck HAHA
But yes! that board should be great for you
Lolol fresh board + no point of reference for size
does anyone know a good way to hang a board on the wall? is there like a special wall mount i gotta get? i wanted to hang the Skate board i got, its just been sitting it its box lol
Sk8ology hangers most skate shops have them and if not Amazon has them
Hellahangers and use 3m command strips!
thats great then, i barely know about skates
lmaooo
i prefer the powell peralta hangers, but their getting harder and harder to source
clean af
If it's a complete, Hideit Mounts are pretty good. I hang my street and longboards via those.
If it's just a deck for display purposes, I use skatehoarding mounts.
What are thoes things on the bottom?
@gilded lava what? U don't like me skating j1s? 😅
J1s are practically skate shoes. And they look damn good scuffed from skating
Deck rails
Not worth ruining imo, but to each their own
i see where ur comin from but its not a rare colorway and they werent that expensive or anything. if they were like $200-$300 dollar collabs than like yeah i def wouldnt skate em haha
Oh for sure, man. if they went more than $200+, i’d be like such a waste of beans
I more so use them cuz i skate curbs they make doing board slide combos easier and doing grab/plant tricks easier
I got em for around $120 bucks with the intention of skatin em and theyll last me for years + ill look fresh af too
ohhhhhh grabs make so much sense actually
I just rock New Balances cuz they actually give af about their riders and the scene. I haven’t supported anything Nike/Nike SB in yearsss
Put em right on the edge and do fingerflips n stuff haha
yeah dude NB is fire fs
and fair enough Nike def doesnt seem like the brand thats "down to earth"
I keep em 1-1.5 inches in, i don’t like right on the edge cuz they tend to come loose quicker and rip right out
yeah true less material to wear down bolts come right out
Example A and B haha
consistency 🔥
they're friggin sweet
ive just never personally ridden anything over an 8.7
other than my friends longboard lmfao
I used to ride 8.25 as a kid, but when i got back into skating my focus on what/how i like to skate changed over time. First it was trying to learn all my flips again and then i got bored of that, got into curb skating and then back into transition cuz i used to be decent at skating transition as a kid
Yeah I stick around 8-825 but im still p young and early all things considered. im riding an 8 Girl board currently
Mike Carroll
I wish i still had my pair of mike caroll lakai’s
lakais r sweet lookin i want a pair
Been wanting to try girl’s egg shape, but i need it in a 9.125 rather than just a 9.0. Gives me an excuse to pull out the 8.75 Ace’s i have just collecting dust in my box of skate parts and gear
This is my current driver. 9.5 twin tail egg with 9.0 hollow slappy trucks with the inverted kingpin
So close to snapping the back truck. Just gotta do another 20-30 back or front slappies and they’re donezo haha
jeeeeeeeeez
yeah those r BUSTEd up haha
still llook sick tho
Haha, I also got a pair of ace af1’s that are close to snapping. Nothing more satisfying than skating a pair of trucks until they break in half
It’s like a badge of honour haha
the size of some of them boards are mad big
Ah understandable
Love my wide boiz, skating anything under 9.0 feels too small to me now
I don't like the way they look personally and I'd rather have a smaller board than something that's to big.
There still cool tho
It just feels goofy riding around on those big decks
You mean jordan 1s? If so yeah I agree I had the white lows you can buy them for like 100$ I think I like them alot.
Really comfortable have a nice coosh and they hug your feet Really nice
do you do tricks on a board that big or just cruise about on it ?
100%
I love the white ones. I want some white lows
anyone have experience, with the website the darkslide they have a few decks that i wanted to get but i dont see much info, so i dont know if they are legit?
thanks, i was interested in some of their valleley decks
On second look, it looks sketchy. They're selling bootleg vinyls and whatnot. I wouldn't trust them with my money. It's just scamming
I skate transition and do slappy’s. I don’t really care to flip my board tbh
Good for you, dawg 👍🏻
I'm glad you found something that works for you. Though
I mean, i can still kickflip them big boards. It’s kind of a flex, since i know not many other people can do it
I know it’s def a skill issue thing for others
That's cool yeah it's definitely a thing you learn from riding that size of board over time All my boards have been from 8.25 to 8.5 personally
You have entered the longboard pool skate love
Just requires more pop and flick power. Smaller boards feel like tech decks to me. I got an 8.5 recently to start doing more flips and immediately lost interest in skating it after 3 seshes
Plus, everyone at the park always asks to try my board because they’ve never ridden such big decks before
But I often say no to letting people try it, because it’s $140+ for my decks and if someone breaks it, I doubt they have the money to reimburse me
I don’t often skate pools/bowls but when i do, it’s mad fun cuz you just rippp
Yeah but i feel like that's kinda the point smaller decks are supposed to be more flickable an easier to pop for like more street skating purposes.
I can still street skate on my decks. Just sounds like a skill issue to me
I can still pop 2 decks high on my 10.75
Nah I'm not saying you can't do it with thoese boards I'm just saying the smaller decks are more suited for that purpose
In my opinion atleast
I know, you’re talking to someone who’s been skating for 15+ years.
{let him enjoy his skill issue humble bragging}
Ah well I didn't know that.
It’s just called having fun and who cares what size of board you ride. We’re all fans of a wooden children’s toy
Fair enough

Nah I don't care mate I'm just talking about deck sizes with you like I said I'm glad you are having fun I was just giving my personal take on it and told you what I like so maybe we could have a convo.
Popping too often kills my ankle cuz i permanently tore the ligaments in my right ankle trying to front 180 a 6 stair when i was 11
do you even skate or do you just take pics of yourself holding a board for instagram likes
I in no way was coming off aggressive or rude, lets dial it back a bit. It's cool that you like to skate what you skate, have fun
Aight
Damn
It’s a big ole Ripperoni moment for me, but hey, i’m thankful i can still roll around and do stuff on transitions. Slappy’s/curb skating has been my bread and butter for the last few years, cuz it’s OG street skating
Slappies/curb skating started cuz the vert parks were closed and John Lucero decided to try doing vert tricks on curbs
Love the attitude you got towards skating man so positive makes me wanna head out more on my board
Skateboarding was my first love in life. I hold it very close to my heart and give back to it much as I can, because as they say “Skateboarding doesn’t owe you anything, but you owe everything to skateboarding.”
I will often go buy cheap decks from the local and hand them out to kids at the park
That's really sick man the kids are who keep the community alive
True that and my first mode of transport as a kid was a handy down skateboard didn't take it seriously until I was about 12 and then stopped about 16 as left school and started work but I'm getting back into it at 28 cause I miss it so much and thats sick I wish someone would hand it boards more after cause skating can be expensive AF especially when people don't come from money
It's cool man, I don't even hold the boards in my pictures!
I’ve always been a broke mf growing up. My first real* board was a hand me down Baker board, any board before that was those walmart completes that i remember id snap the entire truck in half just practicing ollie’s in the driveway. I’m 26 now, i try to give back to the scene as much as possible. Hell, I go out and make loads of DIY spots in my city for people to enjoy. I’ll gladly take the ticket if it means someone is out there having fun on what i built
LOL
Same my wasn't a complete but it was a baker deck given to me buy a friend lmao 😭🙏🏼
But i gotta get a new angle grinder, mine is starting to lose power. I think it’s either the battery or the grinder itself, cuz it dies after an hour instead of 3 hours like i used to get out of it
your like the Santa Claus of skating
No that's Jeff
Lmfaooo, you ain’t wrong about that. My fat ahh is built like him too
But plenty of room for everyone to be like Jeff
Here she is
My buddy who’s 49 and has been skating since the 70’s would label this “Kook energy” lmaooo
hahahahaha
Damnnn, wish i still had my first deck. I still got my Bam deck from when i was 12
He was just making a joke...
Yeah it's seen better days but it still roles like the day I got it 😭
Well then he would be the kook for judging
Can’t be a kook when you’re an OG
Adio.. Still got a pair of Bam 2’s in my storage unit
Some great looking boards here gentlemen
You definitely could be someone like that no matter what. Like is it alva? Someone who was generally unaccepting, negative, judgemental, rude etc. Just bc you're an OG or whatever doesn't give you a pass from being a crappy person, ya kno
Did not realize how cooked my hand tattoo looks in that pic lmao. Needs a touch up
You were right! You aren't even holding it in this picture!!!
My bam board from growing up. Loooong retired
Lmao see!!! No hands, no feet
I think I might get a gx1000 as my next deck idk yet kinda feel like buying another setup
Another set up means another "tuning" and having a pocketknife of boards is always fun
barely skated this deck. I like that’s 9.125 but idk, Jacuzzi is such a lame brand imo
I think if I get a second one it's going to be strictly like a street skating kind of setup
Yeah jacuzzi graphics are not really my style
I saw it at my local, my brain went “EGG SHAPE.. NEED” and copped it. Kinda regret, cuz i kinda went ham on doing a custom grip job
Needed a way to use all my griptape bits and strips i have from doing so much griptape art
I have seen alot of grip tape art seen some really cool stuff personally I don't do it because I like the more traditional look on my boards but there still really sick when I see a super elaborate piece of art on someone's deck
This is one of my fav grip jobs. I miss doing the polka dots on my board
That's pretty sick I mainly just seen people like draw on them never really seen people cut out like strips on them
another one i also did, this is on my 10.4 egg
Now that's cool
here’s the front haha
I can’t wait to go nuts on the grip for this 14.0. Gonna do a spider web on the nose and tail and then clear for the top graphic
That's huge my local skate shop sold that board in like under 5 minutes lol
I’ve been holding onto it for months haha, just been lazy and haven’t boughten grip for it yet cuz it’s gonna take me 3 sheets to grip it
Grip, new deck rails and maybe some new trucks. Tempted to cop the 11.0 trucks that Slappy Trucks is releasing soon
Fire boards all around
Nice
Yeah that grip job is ruffff hahaha
It's still cool tho
But not surprised that it sold out in 5 mins. Eggzillas are very sought after
Ruff af but it gets the job done haha. Especially cuz it only used to skate curbs and street with a pair of 8.75 trucks
That'll do that'll do
You're gonna skate it?
But imma have to go soon. Going to a Steve-O show here in the next hour and a bit
As he should. “Boards should be under your feet, not on the wall” - Sam Hitz
No
This the next deck I want to get
That's badass
Ikr just need to get the money together for it
I missed out on that. Was gonna get it as a beer store cruiser/curb setup
DUUDE sick!! Tell Steve O I said hi haha
That's so goated have a good time
Lol i disagree. It's subjective. I got 84 decks and I don't skate. I admire the art and skate culture and the history behind the deck
That is so tuff
Gonna see if he will sign this for me after the show
Respect
OMG that would be a dream bro
That's rad. Get that siggy
Comedy show or stunt work?
Comedy show. Gonna see if he will sign my copy jack*ss 2 as well. But if i can only get the hat signed, i’ll take it. Just happy to be seeing someone i’ve been watching for over 20+ years
Had to retype all that cuz i forgot that Jack*ss is considered a cuss word lmao
That's sick this is what I have been looking at personally
that looks fire, i fw that graphic
Yeah dude I'd be so stoked to meet steveo he's such a legend
Same GX 1000 really doesn't miss with there more elaborate stuff
I remember being like 5-6 years and watching Jack*ss on MTV with my mom before they got a movie deal. It’s all coming together full circle for me haha
Yeah same here! My mom n dad would always watch Jack*ss and nitro circus
I used to watch all the CKY stuff, pre-Jack*ss.
I love cKy
One of my passions is rewatching cky, jackace and Rob and big
I got to meet Steve-O and go on his tour bus after the show!
Thats so raddd holyyyy
Get the signature?
Sick!
I got to meet him randomly at Buc-ees in in baytown
Still can’t believe i got invited on his tour bus where he does the Wild Ride podcast
Fuggin niiiiiiice bro
So sick
I am the happiest of campers today.
You guys think vans filmore hi top are good for skating?
yo is someone from hungary that skate? if yeah pls dm me 🙏
Not a terrible option, just keep in mind that they are not skate specific shoes but more like skate inspired shoes so they will wear out a little faster than their sk8 versions
gottas say i wish my board display could accomidate this but its setup for vertical graphics only
Are they prong hangers? Can you just put two next to each other?
If that makes any sense
the walls arent long enough to hang horizontal boards, and vetical together, and with the vretical boards i have it would look off to have some vetical and some horizontal
Gotchya gotchya. That stinks
That's almost a board. It's not a real on that's for sure.
[ok I'll see myself out]
booo...
Thank you, I'll be here all week
thats such a dad joke i expect it to go get milk and never come back
I've been wanting to make that joke for a little while now, but it being a partial deck with so much cut out, felt like the right moment
and being the almost, brand...
well yeah, that too XD
really wish i could make it work with my walls but sadly it wont fit,
I think it would be fine vertically with the A at the top
Could you maybe hang it horizontally over a doorway? that would be a cool spot
not super visible in this apartment with the 14 feet celings
how tall are the doors? o.0
with the molding, like 10?
yeah ok then, that's just a bit high
Victorian apartment
basically im just gonna hang, 6 boards vertically, in a corner over my tv, 3 on each wall one of which being my gold foil mike vallely elephant, board, the other 5 i dunno
but one of the two rodney mullen boards is not anywhere for sale on the internet, so.. trying to find more of his that i like, as he was one of my favorite skaters
ooo that sounds like a nice collection!
currently trying to track down a usa THP8 board in decent condition, as i got the rest of the world design first,
Solved my kickflip issue. I thought the muscle memory wasn’t there and I didn’t have them anymore, but I do. I was just being a pussy and not going fast enough lmao picked up the speed and nailed bolts on like 5 of them easily today
that's SO COOL
Yo
Yo yo
Anyone got tips on monster flips? Can do Impossibles quite vertical, accidentally did one and slipped out when learning 360 pressure flips
Well firstly it's more personal preference you can technically skate any size deck no matter how big you or your feet are aslong as you find it comfortable and you can still shred tricks. But to answer your question technically no, im pretty sure I heard the "right" size deck for that size shoe is like 8.75
Yeah I used to skate a 8.0 or a 7.5 I can’t remember that was a couple years ago, I’ll try a 8.5 and see how that feels 👍
Great idea man I wear 11.5 and I personally ride 8.5 to 8.75
👍 is 8.5 more for cruising? I honestly don’t remember much about skating
Or does it not matter much?
8.5 is like in that average street skating range
People even street skate thoese huge heroin boards now that are like 10+ inches wide like I said mainly just personal preference
Alright gotchu, thanks man
No problem
I ride 8.5 I'd say better than 8.25 more room to catch it and scoop it, 8.25 easier for double flips, ever since switching up struggle doing double flips on flat but found other tricks easier
I mean Powell Peralta can be street or vert. And they are 8-10 wide.
Why did no one tell me dgk sell signed decks ? My dumb ass only thought the berrics canteen sold signed decks ?
I didn't know that. That's sick
ikr
DGK has some sick deck designs too. My local has this Chris Miller beast Welcome deck and I kinda want it.
thats a nice deck and ive got loads of decks added to wish lists on multiple skate shops across the uk
Heck yeah. There was a foil deck they had last time I went but idk what it was. It sold by now
that sucks hopefully you can find the foil deck somewhere else
I just messaged the owner of the shop. He knows what it was. He'll be able to get a pic to me
nice
cause, i dont like dgk?
Me neither Never been a huge fan of dgk
Welcome decks and shapes are awesome, mine was super solid its whole life and I only replaced it because of razor tail, hot pink square tail with a pointed nose so your nollies have to be LOCKED in
I’m eyeing off an Anti Hero/Grimple Stix Raney Beres guest board but I’m trying to be financially responsible and it hard
Anyone skates with deathwish decks?
There alright personally not the biggest fan far from my first pick
I tried my friends one time because he got a new board and when I rode it I found that I personally didn't like the way it felt. And about a month later he ended up snapping it. take what I say with a grain of salt though because sometimes there can be alterations defectors and can varie something could have changed since then aswell I don't really know how hard he was skating the deck but that's my personal experience with the company.
i dont have any complains and i like the decks tho
Oh I thought you were asking because you'd never tried one. Well I mean if you like them that's cool.
I got a question , when I’m riding my board do I put my back foot on the bolts or the tail of the board
Either Or. Foot on tail gives you more leverage for turning or for baby manuals off curbs but nothing wrong with having it on the bolts if it's comfortable and your just cruising.
The more you ride, the more you'll naturally just know where to keep your feet. Don't over think it.
ok thank you 🙏🏾
Can you help me? Now I'm looking for a good skateboard, is this skateboard good in terms of material and price because I'm still very new to it 🙏🙏
yo i started also with decathlon sk8s and for the prices they r ok, but when u take a good board u will notice the diference on pop, weight and that stuff
Uh idk i don't speak that language or know what currency that is so I don't know if that's like worth it
I did nkt drill these holes my trucks look like they would fit fine without them why are they here?
This board was used before I got them
There are two hole patterns for decks/trucks. The old school and the new one. Almost everything these days uses the new one so it's not even something thought about when building a setup but some boards have the old hold pattern and some trucks have both drilled into them to be able to use with any deck in the off chance the deck has the old school pattern.
This looks like whoever had the deck first wasn't sure about that and thought drilling the extra holes into the deck would make it more secure with the trucks or something.
yo anyone know how to go down the curb at the end of driveways
i just busted my ah
like this
Ollie over it
its my third week bro😭
Thats a tough one !
I don't really know what tk tell you bro
After learning how to push and turn on a skateboard what should I learn next
anybody got some general tips on heelflips, it keeps flying behind me and im not getting a good pop
spend most of ur time getting comfortable before trying tricks👌 itll be 10 times easier
Ok thanks
hello, sorta new skater here, need help choosing what type of wheels to get for tricks that are not insanely expensive.
Funny fact, the entire reason I'm into skateboarding is because of an Owl City song
This is the same reason why I like enjoi stuff so much
Just have these bad boys laying around
what are some good mid top skate shoes??
Damn!! An OG. Any other skate collectibles?
Got anything else? This is sick
Nice condition too!
Vans Half Cab or Sk8 Mid, Sk8 Hi’s can also be cut down to mid
anyone got the other skate promo shoes? id kill for those mfs
eBay has a few. Some of the prices are goofy though
yo, any of yall from europe. I was just in ireland and came across this board from this brand called sour solution. opinions?
Just some rare volcom collectibles nothing skate 3 or previous skate games wise
Anyone got any tips on varial heels? Mine keep going behind me but the pop and flip feel good

Haiii, question, i recently started skating and the wheels I have are kinda rough for just cruising around, I kinda want a more cruising set of wheels that I can swap out when im at a park or something. I found stuff like the Ricta clouds 78a or the Powell-Peralta Dragons, does anyone have suggestions which to get? + what other stuff like bearings and suchies?
Dragons are fun but harder. Clouds are softer. Up to you what you'd prefer to ride with. I think the dragons might be better if you aren't interested in swapping out wheels. Go for softer and larger if you want a better wheel specifically for cruising without rocks and stuff tripping you up.
For bearings, can't go wrong with basic Reds. I also really like Zealous bearings for my longboards/cruisers
Only difference I can tell is the chrome clouds have a little extra stuff in the core for the bearings, and a chrome coloring. Probably not a huge difference or at least one you'd notice as a beginner between them. Can't really go wrong with either one
Okiii tyy :3
helllllooooooo everyone, fairly excited to start skating again after a 4 year break (ankle injury turned into a fear of boards). what setups are yall rocking?
I'm rocking a Sector 9 longboard with Gullwing trucks I believe
i have only tried a longboard once
I love mine. I dislike riding normal skateboards. They're just too small for my liking
It finally came in! What a beautiful surprise checking the mail today!
Ayy congrats!!
Nice
Went to Skegss concert tonight
How does one acquire? Haha, need
They ran a giveaway like a month and a half ago.
ahh, okay. I guess I don’t pay attention to the server enough.
im new to skateing and my wheels keep biting my board is it somethign im doing wrong or something i need to do to my board
If your trucks are really loose, that can cause wheelbite.
If they are not loose or you don't want to tighten them any, you can get some risers to put in between your trucks and deck to create more space. Alternatively you can get smaller wheels, but I'd recommend the risers first.
outside of that or in the meantime you can get some skate wax, or even just a candle, to rub on the deck where the wheels are hitting to stop it from "biting" too hard and help them slide more when they do touch.
ok
Now that's a sick deck setup
Hey if anyone in the Boston area needs a camera man or photo shoot im doing it for free im normally free around 2:30 till the 2nd to last train outbound on the forgepark/495 line

Can someone tell me if the DC construct shoes are good for skating?
I mean they look cool but converse work good as skate shoe imo
new deck🙌
converse work alr but hit even a 2 stair and your heels are done for
I don't know I've never had the problem but I'm also hyperflexible so just my experience
If anyone is in massachusetts theres a great local skate shop called invisible board shop in franklin ma
Definitely hit them up great selection of boards and apparel
They also cary snow skates and snow boards shaped and popsicle decks tons of wheels and grip plus everything in-between
That is so sick
thanks!
got it for my birthday but i wont be able to use it until friday because of the bad weather
That's a dope setup
That sucks. It's a sick design though. I've never seen that before
imma post some skating soon too :DD

polar always has the best design
Chat, anyone have a recommendation for a pair of pants that will fit kneepads under it comfortably? Inb4 jyncos
Pics for attention. My local park
Yall life worth living i broke my ankle a couple months ago and i DID NOT forget how to skate and after a bit of practice i got my tricks down as well WOOOOO
Woohoo!!
Finally did a proper kick turn on the quarter pipe today. Feelsgoodman
I just ate the ground lol
Some graffiti I did while skating a few days ago
Ive got about 120$ what board should i get
@real delta Find a local skate shop and get a shop deck Indy or thunder trucks and bones wheels and bearings
Save the extra cheddar and buy some shoes in a few weeks
;-; i am learning the ollie all i can do rn is the pop but its not even a good enough pop to do an ollie
i been practicing and riding every day since sunday 🤗
Got some new jams. Makin all the sneaker heads mad and threw away the box. Just shoved the shoes in my motorcycle bag
@grand stirrup I wouldn’t sweat it. The Ollie is the hardest to learn.
It’s literally the start of pretty much every trick, it’s only right it should be so difficult
boy that sure seems legit guys
Yeah I’m practicing it a little everytime I go and ride my board
Those are sick
yea im pretty stoked on them . wish i could wear sneakers to the office
probably wont get a chance to go skate em till sunday
I usually can get away with these and dress pants
Unless it’s the day I need steel toes cuz I am on the forks
Yall need some padded insoles if you wanna skate normally after an injury but in this hot af weather its pain
I need a new complete bruh
🤷♂️ I’ve been skating busenitz since 2009 ish
Before that it was trapassos or papalardos
question for yall. this is kind of new to me. like 3 weeks ago, maybe 4, i was going up a slope and my foot slipped off, bent my foot almost to touching my shin. it didnt hurt my achiles but the front and sides of my ankle were sore. I just noticed today that my ankle is swolen. still sore but not bruised. any advice? think im past the point of rest ice compress elevate
Maybe you broke it?
You might not have broke it but from the way you described the bending, you definitely hurt the soft tissue. I'd get it checked out if I were you. Also, it's never to late for rest, compress, and elevating
nah i dont think its broken but definitely did something
ive broken bones before and every time i went into shock a little and felt like vomiting. im pretty sure if it broke i wouldnt be able to walk. i dont even have a limp
You probably over/hyper extended it. You could walk if you broke it but it would be super painful. I’d still stay off it for a little let the rubber band heal
I once did a shove it with a broken ankle fair to say not my smartest decisions
i mean its not like you chose to brake your ankle. im like 99 percent sure its not broken. but it is swollen for sure. been taking the week off from skating, wearing an ankle compressor thing when im not at the office. doesnt even hurt to walk on or anything its just... swollen
I threw a shuv out one time on my last trick of the day never landed one before just felt like doing it accidentally landed it but since I wasn’t prepared for it my board shot out from under me and I gave myself a concussion
yikes that sucks
feel that one😭
hard take but a nollie pop shove it feels less rewarding than just a regular pop shove it BUT the nollie one does feel better
Next week is Go Skate Day.
Shoutout your favorite local skate park and/or skate shop!
For me, Long Beach Skate Co and Cherry St Park.
Oh shoot. I haven't skated in about a year. Imma eat so much dirt
Or concrete
Furnace skateshop here in OC and Daville skateshop back home in north carolina 😎
I can’t skate the 21st it’s raining 😭
Or more exactly go skate day
No
I started recently and I don't even have any good concrete or places t ride it so I just try to learn tricks on grass
I’m fortunate to be able to practice in my driveway/street
Not even like a parking place or sum?
has anyone been to riot skatepark?
hello i just got my first skateboard, does anyone have any tips for beginners, when i practice i have trouble drifting to the right
Does the skateboard itself drift to the right? Or you? I recommend checking out the skateiq channel on YouTube, lots of great tips for beginners
Aside from your trucks being too loose (or potentially too tight), the most likely cause is that you are new and learning to balance. If you are drifting to the right, that means you are putting weight on the right making it turn in that direction.
Keep practicing and checkout skateiq like baggypop said
Is it better to have them tight or loose for just neighborhood cruising on a regular board
There isn't really a right answer to this because it's completely dependent on preference!
-
Do you feel like you can't turn easily and need to tictac to get the board to face the direction you want to go? Then go ahead and loosen them up.
-
Do you feel like your a little bit unstable and wiggle too easily? Tighten them up.
Tighten and loosen them only about a quarter turn at a time to help you dial in that sweet spot. -
Do you feel like even with them being loose, it still takes effort to turn? Your bushings might be too hard for your weight. Get softer bushings.
-
Do you feel like you've got them tightened and cranked down to the point that you're compressing the bushing down yet the ride still feels too loose? Your bushings might be too soft for your weight. Get Harder bushings.
Really depends, imo its really personal preference. just like some settings in games. start from a base and tweak to ur own needs. this message helps a lot with that. try to do the same adjustments to both ur trucks aswell. i do that by doing like 1/2 twist on one 1/2 twist on the other
hey can anyone help me get my ollie’s down ill send a vid of me doing it in a bit but i i need help popping my board up
Fear is a big part that influances things in skateboarding. I definitly recommend every person learning to not focus too much on tricks in the beginning but more on how to be comfortable at cruising. Board control plays a big part in how fearfull you are on the board. Once you feel comfortable riding around (normal but also on and off ramps) things get smoother. I also wouldn't recommend an ollie as a first trick. A shuvit teaches you to be comfortable jumping. Notice how i said shuvit and not pop-shuvit. After that the choice is yours, pop the shuvit or learn an ollie.
The simple decision to skate somewhere instead of walking or taking the car helps huge amounts in the long run since ur basicly forced to learn board control in different envoirments
^basicly these messages are for everyone learning, but since you asked. If u really want to learn an ollie there are alot of great videos on that on youtube. I really don't think that any of us can explain more about an ollie then those videos
okk thank you for the recommendation
Np! Goodluck on your skating journey
happy go skate day everyone, get tf outside ‼️‼️
What if I'm scared?
Then skate more
Hell yeah!!!!
Happy go skate day yall
they let me host best trick at the vans park 😭 best gsd ever @stiff raptor
Hell yeah! Congrats! Was it fun?
dude it was so sick
watching literal 10 year olds do mctwists and kickflip indys like nothing 😭
and that was them taking it easy
That's wild
yesterday was skate day for me went for a nice 6 hr session with my friends 🙏
Is TGM skateboards a good website
Yes
They're a huge company from Michigan I think. You can find their boards on Amazon. I've heard good things about them
Hm
Any Advice? It's been three years since I skated because of a car accident and I wanted to try again. (My anxiety is through the roof).
no advice except just get out there and skate
within your limits ofc
Take it slow, if you have any friends to skate with who can help you learn, maybe get some wrist and elbow pads and a helmet. If you need to get used to standing and rolling on the board try holding a rail or a friends hand, most importantly have fun
Thanks! I will keep that in mind. Wish me luck
excited about saturday. think my ankle is healed up enough to get back out there and its not going to be 90 at 10am. so thats exciting
I'm a beginner skater, so I'm still learning the basics and everything but I'm excited because I get to go back to my local skate park next week
Best skate shoe for board feel?
Well for me.. I always wear vans
How many of you guys fell today off your board
twice for me today
Ran over a pebble and landed on my face
Oh my..
Yeah just broke my pinky
I almost landed a double heelflip on a cruiser board
HELLO??
dude please go get checked by a doctor
there is no best shoe for boardfeel
everyone has their "best shoe" but thats based on their own experiences
as long as you aren't skating cupsoles everything is pretty comparable to each other, it just depends on what you're looking for in a shoe
with the state skateboarding is in now, pretty much every shoe company is gonna tell you their product has "unparalleled boardfeel" but thats just marketing
hell i work for vans but also think 80% of our skate shoes suck but that doesnt make anyone who swears by vans incorrect
idk if ur a beginner but if you are its not like boardfeel matters that much (if at all) anyway
I like Ben Degros' video he made on Vulcanized vs Cupsole shoes and how nerdy he gets on the differences breaking it down.
I never cared for it tbh, just wore what i liked
Mostly went for durability if i was looking for anything other then looks
Heared good things about Etnies x Michelin (the tire brand)
If its durability ur looking for
I just wear dc’s
I love my Lakais
I wish i could just skate in socks with no repercussion
Non abrasive grip exists, go barefoot
Any tips? So I get on my board one good push and I tilt my right foot (I have a goofy stance) then I lose my balance I bend my knees as well. Plus…. my trucks are not loosen and I need help on that.
sounds like youre just not comfortable on your board
simply skate more, and skate everywhere
before you know u won't even think about it anymore
and if ur trucks are too tight, grab a tool from your local shop and loosen em a bit to your liking
there is no correct looseness of truck, ya just gotta feel it out
I mean this is the first time since my accident 😅
I’ve been practicing indoors
I always though loosening your trucks would help turning mind you I haven’t skated in like three years and this year is the year I’m getting back into it
take it outside homie!
same reason i try to tell people to try to not learn tricks stationary either, its like trying to learn the trick all over again once you get it moving
Yeah basics first then tricks once your comfortable enough
Also scared of falling 🥲
I know I have to learn to fall
comes with the territory unforch
if you wanna skate you gotta be okay with taking a tumble sometimes
or a lot lmao
then my anxiety spikes also because I’m by myself and like it creeps upon me once I’m alone. I just need well not need more like a want.. someone that’s like more experienced than me to help me physically
skating alone SUCKS
that i agree with
good time to check out any parks nearby and meet some locals tho 🙂
This is important for life in general honestly.
But also do you have all the protective gear? That can help with anxiety and help you know that you have some cushion in case something happens
I do!! I bought it when I got the board
That’s the thing I’m scared.. I been hearing that the skating community is toxic to returning skaters or new skaters
just cuz you heard it doesn't make it true for every skater everywhere
there are some gatekeepy mfs out there 100% but the cool ones always show themselves
I always imagined going to a skatepark and just asking skaters for assistance and advice.. accident affected my ability to skate or bike every way possible just wanna have fun again
its always as simple as just asking for advice
more often than not dudes are more than happy to help out
anyone who isnt stoked to see someone do their first anything is lowkey lying
Wym?
like lets say you're at the park learning to drop in for the first time
that kinda thing is dope to watch
So like ppl fake act like they skate? Like fr???
nonono i'm saying
generally, skaters are very hyped to see a beginner learn something new
even watching some random kid land his first kickflip after battling it at the park for 2 hours gets me hype
Drop ins are insane!!
every skater on the planet no matter how good, has SUCKED at one point
and id like to think most skaters recognize that
the people that dont are skating for the wrong reasons and you gotta just feel sorry they dont got that #ChildlikeWhimsy
So it’s okay to make a mistake while skating??
9/10 of my sessions are making mistakes til i do something cool so i can go home
yes 😭
ppls biggest mistake and what i feel makes a lot of people quit is making skateboarding so so so much more complicated then it needs to be
I just don't want to be judged on my performance in a negative way
you're skating cuz you want to, not cuz someone else told you
thats all that matters
anyone hating will probably never see a sponsor in their lifetime anyway
and just stay away from most of the skate community on any social media 😭 90% of those dudes are kooks just hating for fun
oh dang
theres cool ppl everywhere but
social media will always be just that
faceless ppl hating for fun just bc they can
If you want to progress and learn to ride in skate parks u'd have to go there. There are definitly weird and angry people in the skating scene. But i also find that kind, non-judgmental and even helping people double that amount of people. Most of the time a skatepark is known to have a bad community. Simple solution is to not go there
I will try though I will def try.
U got it, we all started with our knees and elbows scraped. Thats what it takes to know what not to do
Hahaha
I will keep trying until I get it
Every skater who thinks he's a prodigy and is a douche to beginners has forgotten what its like
truth nuke
dislocated my kneecap a year ago and STILL having issues with it but it hasnt stopped me
just gotta remember to stretch from now on lmfaoooo
stretching b4 skating is never a bad idea
I’m thinking about starting to skate, how do I find the right board to get?
Prioritize the trucks and wheels the board doesn’t matter as much but width wise get like a 8 sum around there
find a local skate shop and ask to stand on a few different sizes to see what's most comfortable
most popular size is like an 8.25 but you can always go up or down
Alright thanks
is it normal to be able to turn right but when i turn left i always fall off my board im a beginner btw 2nd week skating
Are you Regular or Goofy?
But yes. You are a beginner and therefore don't know how to balance properly on your board to get it to do what you want it to do. This takes time spent on the board where you keep trying so your muscles and brain can learn
Takes getting used the board control. Thats why i find board control more importent then learning a ollie or shuv when it comes to teaching beginners.
Just keep cruizin man
It'll grow on ya
regular and thanks for the advice man
to do an ollie you have to jump
while popping your board and sliding your front foot up to bring the board up off the ground
Learn a shuvit, helps with the jumping motion
sounds like you need to get used to being on your board in general
focus on that first
being comfortable cruising around on your board will help you way more than rushing into an ollie 👍
ppl ignore the fundamentals and all it does is halt progression
In addition to what parappa said, look up skateiq on youtube and his ollie tutorials. Best ones around
I think you're lost coach, this is the irl skating channel
Oh sorry mb
lol, you're good
Where???
Someone give me a tip on how to grind a rail
Try half the rail first til your comfortable enough to slide out or grind which ever your doing
does anyone have suggestions for skate shoes I want to get back into skating and havent skated since 2014 and want a pair of shoes I don't really care if they get destroyed. Ive seen a lot of people wear adidas, Nike SB and DC not sure which ones are good
literally anything works
last resort is a good brand if you care about something made for skaters by skaters but other than that anything works
are bones reds good?
cant go wrong with em
theyre not the best bearing ever obviously but they get the job done, pretty much the go-to bearing for most ppl
reds are good
one of my personal favorites for a while was spitfire cheepshots
@past stone
good lord. that general channel is unusable right now.
was an inline skater for most of my youth, though i bought a skateboard around covid but sold it when strapped for cash
no clue how much it cost, how much can i expect to pay for just a regular set up?
50-60 pounds iirc?
60 pounds is 81 dollars rn
That sounds about right for a decent pre-built set up. Check out local shops and ask around, they sohuld be able to help you out picking the right stuff
im way too deep in british countryside for a local shop
our local shop has em for around 100 (richmond virginia)
if u want good trucks and the best wheels like 120 pound
40 for a board 40 for trucks and 40for wheels is what i've paid so like 120
i dont need anything special, just probably to keep in the boot of my car while i gradually learn ollies again
80 then
get a board that isnt sold anymore so enjoi or blind and you'll get a good deal for good wood and get whatever trucks
can never go wrong with vans
do u know any skaters irl?
im a sucker for a plain wood deck
when i came back to skating my friend went around to his friends and got me a full set up
all my inline friends moved away
Dunks are my personal favorites but right now im skating some superstars an they feel pretty nice
my local is dope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNWaIJkMJb0

that’s awesome
One Minet Skatepark Getting here from London you need to get a train to Audley End from Lonodn Liver
a better showcase
There’s a lot of street skating where i’m from because there’s no parks really. There’s this one warehouse with a ramp but that’s about it. I’m relatively new to skateboarding and i’m still tryna get used to cruising.
In my neighborhood its hard to skate if ur new. The local skater boys usally bully you and pull down your pants for their tik toks.
When i was new and in hogh school they focused my board because i didnt give them my food stamp card whennthey gave me a swirly innthe bathroom
I had the dgk louis vuitton gucci griptape on my new primitive x naruto board. Skateboarding is hard in my hood
yeah fortunately it’s not like that over here because there’s like zero skate culture.
Have you ever heard of Skate. the video game before? Or are you mainly just here for irl skate?
I played skate 3 on the ps3 then eventually on xbox when they dropped backwards comp. It’s my favorite game of all time. I remember seeing a trailer for Skate. 5 years ago and kinda forgot about it for awhile.
Yeah no wonder, if you were rocking a board like that😭💔
Im sorry bro
anyone know, by chance, what the email address is that has the invite?
Id ask in general but its a mess up there.

oh..
hi
Happy 4th everyone
Currently chillin at lynch family sk8park in Boston lmk if yall need a camera guy
Can someone help me?
R my bushings supposed to look like that?
My trucks are curved
Tilted*
This happens to really old bushings and hard bushings sometimes, it's okay if you can deal with it being a little weird, but new bushings doesn't cost a fortune if you're uncomfortable with it
bro is skating in black forces
Outgrown my nb574s
Mad comfy tho
At the local skatepark rn
This board is legit getting razortail layer by layer every day
stop dragging ur tail then
I’m attempting manuals
My board. Im pretty new to skating but trying my best. ( call me a poser for having a baker board idc)
The board is GOATED
Thanks man
no man im too broke to get them rn. i dont remember the brand i have but its abec 7
first real board today
even got my board ingame lol
got back out to the park again today after resting for a month off a swolen ankle. felt good
I love that design
I think it’s the shop’s actual cat lmao
That makes it 10x better
Yo guys what do you think about this poster, I went to sls here in Miami a couple months ago, it got signed by Nyjah, Rayssa, Gustavo Oliveira, Chaz Ortiz, bam marguera, Jamie foy, Giovanni vianna, and I have to check who else rn I don’t remember lol
sheeesh nice dude
Gonna get bones
In the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 they cost 200czk (like 5 bucks)
Aww they cost 500czk
Gonna get em big ballz or bronson g3s
fr?? thats sick dude
its like 40 here
Yo i dont know much about skating tryna get into it i have a scooter im trying to sell im wondering if someone would be able to give me like a price evaluation
Depends what youre looking for
If you're a beginner youre best best bet is finding your local independent skate shop and going there and asking the staff to help you build your first setup
These stores usually have their own cheaper brand
But there not crap like wallmart boards.
I thought he wanted price for his scoot lol
Oh I thought he was talking about for buying his first board 😂
got a new board‼️
Is that a walmart board?
Been skating with 15 pounds on my legs. The other 5 in my pockets…. Results are fantasmic.
Also Angel rameriz threw this on my leg
I was in the dpark comp too. They gave me 20$ for a back tail around a wicked bend
nah; my dad got it off some website, it was 120 dollars
Manifesting we will all get in tmrw!
This is NOT 120 bucks🙏🥀
For 120 bucks you could build a pretty decent skateboard.
no brand wheels and trucks?
havent skated since i was a kid or something, lowkey gonna buy the luis vuitton ksate and restart ( huge lie im gonna buy the cheapest skate at the nearest skate shop
wat happened to this guy
Tight trucks or loose??
I like looser trucks
Helps with carving bowls and stuff
Also how long does it take to break in Adidas superstars bc the flick feels werid
Tight enough to not get wheel bite, loose enough to be able to turn
I was hearing that looser trucks are good though yk for cruising and then tight trucks for tricks.
One of my friends are kinda in the middle
Two videos of me riding two different ripstiks lol
hell yeah
i just got the best advice for my kickflips yesterday and theyre so good now
put me on
sounds crazy asf but like
you have to ollie first and do the kickflip midair if that makes sense
😭 😭
bro its the most confusing way to say it ever idk how to explain
nah thats actually valid bc my attemps are usually me flicking too early and then the board just launches
no it lowk makes sense how u put it im boutta try it
basically i just have my front foot a little more like i would for an ollie and up by the bolts and like
you just ollie high asf and flick at the last second
it was weird to try at first but i literally unlocked the coldest back foot catch in like 10 mins
😭 😭 did you know how to kickflip before hand?
yeah i been knew kickflips for years but im always tryna make them better yk
i see i see, i havent landed one yet but i rlly only been skating for a couple of months i had to stop when winter came around
ima try doing it ive been close but i hope i can land it td
get ittt
but yeah idk why i never figured before but really having a dialed ollie helps a lot for a good kickflip
next time i hit the park imma try to get em into noseslides
lmaoo im tryna get that good some day
i feel like in everything you just feel like you're terrible and then you feel accomplished for a little with the cycle repeating
wish my tres were better
these are DEF gonna take a lot of work, theyre honestly just not my trick i feel but i wanna have em good
that looks really clean imo, what r u tryna improve with it
popping em higher and just getting them more consistent pretty much
every time i skate i dont leave the park until i can land 5
tryna get it up to 10 per session
thats funny but works, but i see i see, how long u been skating
been skating seriously for like 8 years

my homies and i stayed goin on trips around nc
braa i shoulda went out i lowk just stayed in all the time 😭 but i didnt waste my time completely
only thing that sucked about that time was a lot of companies didn't have a lot of product
my local shop rarely got spitfire and indy restocks
you saw a lot of indoor parks and skate shops going out of business too
ohh yea that is true i heard about that happening that sucks but i could imagine everything being really spacious thats fire

what are some good reliable bushings do you guys use?
any bones bushings are solid
Ahh valid 💯these independent shizz are not the vibe 😭goodlooks
whaat indy bushings are good too tho
Idk I put this board together a few months ago maybe it’s just me
😭
I’m boutta go buy my first board
Which one
Mostly mid to late 90s punk and underground hip hop but that’s my era
Sweet
Old guy fun fact: before the internet really took off and way before you could get music on it we would get a lot of our music from skate videos. Each skater got to pick the music for there part. So you got a lot more diversity than what was playing on the radio
no clue
gonna go to the skate shop and see whats best for just starting out
never skated before so idk whats good lol
If you go to an actual skate shop they won’t have bad decks so I would just look for one with a design you are stoked on and then put it on the ground and see if you like the width and shape (mostly the concave of the sides and nose and tail). Slicks used to be looked down on back in the day but the tech is pretty good now and let you slide with less friction. If you want to just push around lean towards softer bigger wheels. If you want to trick more towards smaller harder wheels. Trucks I feel like everyone has a different opinion on but I use big old Independent on my old school cruiser deck and lightweight Ventures on my Antihero and Zero trick decks. Finally get some good bearings. I’ve used bones Swiss forever and dig em but it’s been so long that I don’t know if there’s something new that’s way better
Thanks for your play list
Thanks for the advice I appreciate it
I plan to get on the board again next week! Which skatepark should i hit ?
