I'd say you need more pop in the back foot too. Kick it down a bit harder, but for sure ollieng in the dirt is gonna make it harder for you to pop, but i'd say to just go on concrete if you feel confident with pushing and staying on the board, falling on dirt would be way safer, only move to concrete once you feel sure you can ollie.

I think you got it. Since it’s a small quarter you kind of wanna pop more outward away from the coping so you don’t hang up on it. It’s pretty much the same motion as flat ground, you just kind of float it out.

im pretty sure he’s talking about the pop it’s self. your back foot is not on the board and that minimizes the amount of height your ollie’s get. i liked the vid tho.

i’m noticing in your ollie’s - you aren’t bringing your back foot up with the board. your front foot positioning is a bit too centered to the board. try positioning more towards the nose of the board or the 2 front screws.

You got it down, just keep working on it. There is one tip I have though. Once you pop, use that front foot to push all your weight forward, the momentum will bring the board up a bit higher and also allows you to level out your Ollie

Solid kickflip but you're going to have to pop a lot more and try catching it for a 10. I do the same because it's more comfortable to land on the board rather than with it but it's honestly a bad habit becuase it'll limit your ability to kickflip anything but flat ground long term.

Start out with something that is around a 140$ build so that way tou can get something good, but also on the cheaper side. it can be a good build so you can learn easier than thats what id recommend, just make sure its light weigh so you can do tricks that require a pop. Just my opinion though

Because your front foot never comes higher than this. And once it reaches the height of your arc, it looks to me like you're just shoving the board back down to the ground with it instead of leveling off to the nose.

Might be that your back foot is sending the board off crooked when you pop, so try to keep your toe dead center of the tail when you do.

Bend your knees a little more before you actually pop. As you slide your front foot up, push all your weight forward with the same foot. The momentum will allow the the rest of the board come up higher

So when you do an Ollie the thing that gets you in the air isn’t slamming the tail into the ground, it’s you jumping. When you jump, as soon as you de weight the board you push the tail down, to make it slam into the floor and that’s the pop, the board pops off the floor and comes up towards you at an angle, and then you slide your front foot to level the board out under you
