Haven't played Tony hawks project 8 in probably a year. I've been grinding (hehe) out the goals on sick difficulty since you need to 100% the game for an achievement. Hopped on this morning and quickly got one done! (For the record at this point of my career save, the goals that are left are mostly very difficult and precise lol)

It's crazy. This isn't tooting my own horn but since I've been playing thps since inception I'll say this. I feel bad for achievement hunters who aren't necessarily great at Tony hawk games. These achievements are practically impossible for those who haven't played for a long time. I can barely get them done lol

I reallllly like my lakais in terms of comfort. I know @solar zodiac has better insight to what skates better

Best is really down to preference. Do you like a lot of cushy feeling and extra padding to minimize drop? Do you like more raw board feel and less padding? Do you like a cup sole or a vulcanized sole?

Basically just pick any pair that you like, that are for skating, that feel good and go with that. Shoes are a consumable item with skating so you'll end up needing a new pair fairly soon depending on how much you skate.

To make it last longer make sure that the tops are either leather or suede, not canvas. That'll last longer and prevent the tops from tearing quickly

I've never tried the shoes. But I can wrap impossibles and do forward flips pretty good. Tech decks are lighter tho, easier to flip. But I like the height and width of the tony hawk decks.

I used to unload trailers at my old warehouse job. And it would be like 37-38 C outside. But with no air conditioning.. it would be even hotter and more humid inside. Cause its basically a big metal box. Some days we would spend a few hours unloading shipments box by box. Did that for about 5-6 years. 40 hours a week.

We would go outside to cool off in 37 C heat. lmao.

So you should have good protection from outside, to where you only need fans. My home stays cool most of the time cause of the brick/insulation. But we still need AC cause our temps get higher.

No AC.. it takes a while for the house to heat up. But it also takes a long time to cool down after it gets hot.

Brick is pretty good. Our houses can still burn because we use a lot of wood inside, and drywall / wood for interior walls. When that happens..the brick exterior usually is still there.

There's a lot of granite homes here.. because my town has a huge granite quarry. So it's cheap here.

Drywall is cheap. We only use it for interior walls. So it's cheap to remodel and put together. There's not a big incentive to use stone walls as interior walls.

Has anyone found out why people are impatient about a video game? Like—I get it, but at the end of the day people can do other things, which subconsciously just speeds up that process.

Take the GTA 6 trailer for example: Released 1 year ago, thought it had been released about 5-6 months ago, had no idea it had been a year since that trailer dropped. Now I'm here waiting for skate. and I'm like "it's not a big deal, really" but that's subjective

idk i think it has something to do with how well gamers actually have it these days, it seems like every month there is an absolute banger coming out so when people are told to wait a year theres a bit of anger in some ways, like a sense of entitlement has just built up over time

people dont realise that games take anywhere between a few months to 6 years to make depending on countless factors (a few months usually being small indie titles)

we live in an instant gratification world these days so people arent used to waiting anymore, but greatness takes time
