we KNOW they’re planning on doing a F2P MMO live service with MTX and a mobile version…literally everything about that needs to be changed to keep it true to the series.

ESPECIALLY the live service part since the game will be unplayable when EA decides keeping it running is no longer on their best interest.

OK so, everyone is in a panic because Skate is going free to play. The video felt vague. Massive decisions but little explanation, to which leads to an unsurprising amount of confusion. • If the release is going to be far from now, which i really support so the game is perfect, please open playtesting to everyone at some point. Do a full on beta 4-6 months before release. People are playing that 2021 build because they are desperate and want to contribute.
• As much as you can, don't let EA get to you. This is the last Skate, and it needs to go down in history. Don't let them screw with it as much as you can. Its 2022 so yes while games are different nowadays, you guys have the power to be best out all of them.

It sets the bar so much lower for the overall quality of the game on all platforms. Graphics/Fluidity/just the overall performance. They would have to keep mobile in mind for all aspects of the game which can hurt the game on other platforms. There is also the idea of clutter of the hud, controls and more that can fill the small mobile screen and not make the game as immersive. I go into it more under ideas section on this discord channel. While they could set the bar for future mobile games, I don't believe mobile gaming is quite at the level it needs to be for this to be pulled off CORRECTLY.

it's the fact that you have to go out of your way to make it work. That should alone tell you that vert isn't truly implemented. It's the session physics trying to work it out on a quarter but you can't have a proper vert session and that's a major disappointment for somebody like me. I enjoy getting crazy air in half pipes and bowls. You simply can not do that in Session.

Personally the thing I love most about the Skate. series, is that the map in every game feels new and fresh, 1 and 2 are in the same place but has quite a few new areas due to Skate It and an earthquake, 3 was an entire new place.
I'm really really hoping the San Amsterdam map is completely new and fresh, with maybe parts of the previous map added in later.

Micro transactions for “Convenience”. What does this mean exactly? It could mean gameplay affecting micro transactions. “Time savers”.

“it’s not pay to win, it’s just for people that don’t have time. This just makes it a lot faster”

And then they go ahead and introduce insufferable grind that makes it untenable to just progress through gameplay. They intentionally waste your time by designing the game to waste your time, so that you have to compensate for that by spending additional cash on the game. Introduce a problem purposefully so that you have to pay for the solution. Spend cash on time savers because the game introduces time wasters.
