as soon as you are about to go into an air, press lt/rt and push the left stick up or down

make sure you are using the left stick, not the right one

New studio engine means new style, and a ton of pressure from them because of very high expectations, from us. I’d reckon the only reason they even decided back on it was cause of the absurd number of comments we left them, and celebrity mentions….so I’m pretty sure they were done with the Skate series,
Until we spoke. Now with that said, that will have a ton of pressure on them to not mess this new skate game up, because of the hype and everything. So i think it’s safe to say, that skate 4 will take longer than expected. So Don’t be sad, I think it’s a good thing it’ll take longer, you can never perfect a game… just be grateful it’s even coming out……..

Yo one thing I'd love to see in Skate 4 that I'm sure a bunch of people have mentioned here and in other forums is old school decks and/or shaped decks from brands like Welcome

My eternal struggle is as follows: IMO Skate 2 is overall a better game than 3. However, the polish/modernizations of 3 make it a lot more difficult to enjoy going back to 2

I can’t really begin to describe what I preferred about 2 to 3. I’m sure nostalgia plays a part, BUT I definitely think it’s something about the maps. I’d be curious how other people feel, but my experience in 2 was that it would be fun and organic to skate from place to place, whereas the map in 3 feels boring in the “in-between” spots. I never found myself skating from location to location in 3, instead I’d just fast travel to each notable location and it really just felt like a bunch of small maps instead of a connected world.

There’s other things that I think 2 did better than 3 but that’s one major one I think about a lot

i always played skate 3 more cause little me liked how unrealistic it was

i thought i was so cool when i did a front flip without having momentum

Same. For me it's definitely the map feel. Skate 3 is so polished and nice, but everything feels to close together and too catered for skating. I really enjoy the breathing room the skate 2 map has. And skating from challenge to challenge instead of quick travel, you stumble onto so cool/weird/hidden spots that feel like treasure finding. It feels like a real world with interesting spots to Skate and get creative with.
Skate 3 feels more like everything is given to you (if that makes sense). It's almost like everything is a skatable rollercoaster linked together and I use quick travel more than skating around to the spots.

I really have to give props to the map design in skate 1 though. Not being able to get off the board, but yet still being able to get everywhere must've taken a lot of planning

However, I believe the context of them saying soon is being over looked by most articles reporting on it. Soon is a very relative term. The game coming soon was said at an earnings call which is held mainly for investors to see where the company is at and their projection plans for the future. It wasn't said at a gaming conference mainly for gamers to hear. Until we have an official announcement from EA somewhere addressing the game itself with a more concrete term, soon can mean anything from surprise this year to meaning within the next few years. With the later feeling more likely.

But it is exciting to hear that they mentioned the game in their plans. Means they are betting on this working well!

Do you have an Xbox One or Series S/X? They're all available on Xbox Backwards Compatible. 1 and 3 are even included in EA PLAY/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (and you can play 3 via Xbox Cloud on PC).

your trying to emulate HD Console games on a weak cooling system (or none at all) so it's not going to end well

You would need minimum 8 Core CPU and 16 threads for a decent experience
