But towards the end of that generation. Finally developers could program well on the ps3.

Ok so I’ve been thinking. I noticed the AI in skate 3 is absolutely doodoo. I’m skating around the car dealership little park and I realized it would be so much better if it felt like the people there where trying to sell cars and the sales people would yell at skaters and call the cops. The cops could come and kick us out and we’d just find another spot until night time. But as a risk reward system clips and pictures you get during the day earn more points and more points means more likes and views on skate book or made up social media and if it’s good enough it can be reposted by or even put in thrasher or talked about by the 9Club or something

Just a fun little thing I’d like in the game

Basically make the AI do things a real person would do rn they’re just pointless and get in the way

Make it feel like they aren’t their to get in our way make them feel like people

I just picked up skateboarding yesterday. Have myself an 8.5 cruiser board and did my first split learning to push this morning.
Lessons learned:

1. Stretch
2. Push with your weight still on the board

3. Make sure you sweep if there are small rocks or asphalt on your newly paved driveway.

Every trick in the game should have multiple animations it would make it feel so lively

So I just played some Skate 1 for the first time and wow is it so much fun. Its a really refreshing change of pace and opened my eyes to how fun street skating can be, every trick in that game just feels much more impactful.

I havent really learned how to pump yet so I put all my weight on the pump foot and then shifted to the foot on the board too early.

left foot go out right foot stay in place. :(

You mean push foot?
As a general rule, your weight should stay on your front foot on the board. You'll shift it from time to time of course, but try to keep most of your weight centered on that front foot.

It sounds like you are trying to shift too much weight on to that push foot as if you are stepping off the board

Practice in the grass/on carpet/something rough you won't move much and work on the pushing motion.
When your back foot goes to push, try to balance first on your front foot and squat down a little, standing only on that front foot. Balancing on that one foot like that can help you get the position down before actually pushing off

One thing I'd say if you're learning to pump, keep your feet rooted to the board at first, pumping really is just learning to bend your knees and standing up at the right time. If you learn to do it on a miniramp first, you won't have to worry about turning and moving your feet just yet.

Going through my old game collection, I didn't realize how much skating (and other "extreme sports" games) were a part of my growing up. It was like looking at a time capsule and it lead up to the hype I felt when skate. was first announced.

From all the games before it, from my ps1-ps3 all the games were a button press for tricks. skate. was truly a game changer with the stick flick mechanics.
