The flip side is that if the game is written exclusively in Gen Z or Gen Alpha slang, it’ll look like it’s trying too hard and it will age terribly to boot. I think that’s where they’re going wrong already, which is why the dialogue sounds creepy.

If you’re gonna have Dave Gravette, just have him play himself and not some confused old man. And Sean Malto’s character sounds like he spends his time talking to kids over voice chat.

Natural dialogue is definitely the answer. Some of the lines are absolutely terrible, though. Just have them talk like normal people, dropping slang where it’s appropriate or relevant. Right now, it comes across like they’re trying to shoehorn in every piece of skating lingo since the ‘70s. Zany remarks and lore don’t help, either.

I’m not talking about those. It's not a matter of "leaving it alone". Because glitches are by definition unintended behaviour (bugs, essentially, although "harmless"), they can also be fixed without any devloper actively trying. If they change something in the skate mechanics, that might have consequenses to glitches even though the dev didn't go out of their way to fix the glitch. They might not even know. Or add new, different glitches along the way.

for me the glitches i came across acccidentally were so annoying. People call them harmless but there's just no fun in just trying to do a nice line with a grind or do a challenge and see your character launched into a wall or something.

it's just that I don't understand people complaining about glitches being removed. If you like glitches, then at least understand why they're there and what they are (not talking about you specifically, but some people that come in here are very angry and stubborn about it). Enjoy the glitches but then also accept the hunt/search for them and enjoy that part too.

I played this game like in there but just goofy because they had me on the hook still with the create a park then quietly threw in the trash like it never even was mentioned and then in the time being with one season come out with paywalled areas, and still limited to 5 build items. no remorse
