make sure you're winding up fast, and jumping late.

Go to the water taxi, and travel.

If you don't have the pass, I think it asks you to pay with rip chips, the currency you earn through playing the game.

if you learn how to grind with assist at 0 then they're much smoother and flowy, i really don't like how they're implemented with a super specific stick input otherwise.
like, without assist you can just point your board in the right direction and lean on the correct truck and you usually connect as long as you aim well

When I approach a rail I can approach from the lefthand side do a tailslide with my character facing forward and it'll be frontside then I try to approach from the right side instead and do a tailslide with my character facing back toward the camera and it'll still be a frontside

I was under the impression that frontside backside depended on where my character was facing

I'm more of a realistic skater most of the time, but I enjoyed the challenges for what they were. Some challenges like the poop shoot one was really janky on 0 grind assist, but the rest I felt were fine. It was my lack of skill that made them 'hard', which I prefer over things like the nosebleed grind which is only hard because the game refuses to cooperate.

The manual one I was struggling with, but luckily someone in my group did it so I didn't have to. But I ended up going back because I wanted to figure out what I did wrong. So I spent probably an hour just learning the ins and outs and I think I ended up doing it like 5 - 6 times. Biggest thing was just to jump much later that you think when going over the house, keeps way more speed and lets you jump further into the turn so you don't lose that much going into the ramp

i used to but i got sick of my skater randomly squatting while i was just trying to turn so i coped through learning how to use triggers instead

i tried both and prefer left stick push to pump.. mainly because when i'm riding vert my brain is in "triggers are grabs" mode and its just easier to have them be different to pump

I have to say though. On a shorter ramp and you don’t want to transition over or land on the coping, trigger is a safer bet.

using triggers has definitely led to me mostly doing frontside (left trigger) grabs because that's how i pump. i'm trying to get comfortable using either trigger for pumping or just forcing myself to do backside grabs more

I think forward looks so much cleaner than the triggers, since the triggers is just grabbing the board real fast. Plus it lets me 'fake' having my skater prepare for a jump, even if I just want to do a small hop, just an extra level of style you can add to it all 🤓

And there are the brown ones on the pass and the blue ones in the seasons pack. They’re kinda normal jeans almost maybe could be.
