Earlier today I landed a kickflip so clean it felt unreal. The board snapped off the pavement with a sharp crack as everything around me seemed to slow down. My front foot flicked the nose perfectly, sending the deck into a smooth rotation while I could see every scratch underneath and dust on the bolts midair.
The catch was crisp and deliberate, my foot pinning the board at the exact peak before both feet landed on the bolts perfectly. The landing hit the ground with a solid thunk and I rolled away like the pavement had turned to glass.

I wonder if it's just me, anyone else have an issue with dark catching while holding O (PS5)? Like I often accidentally dark catch instead of airwalk, for instance. If I accidentally happen to kickflip instead of ollie, then go for the airwalk, sometimes that O press will dark catch the kickflip instead. I wish O for dark catch could be disabled. I never do it that way when it's my intention, I use R1.

yeah you have to press O after you grab. i'm used to just button mashing my grab (R2+O) but now you have to go in sequence R2 then O to make it work. i wish O was optional to disable. it's "legacy" control from skate 3.

I have a hard time in general with airwalks and other such multi-button combo grabs. Like when I try to airwalk it's a total toss up whether I'll get a christ air, nosebone, airwalk, or dark catch lmao. And yeah dark catch having two ways to do it is especially unnecessary when one of the combos conflicts with others

i landed it at the grom mega ramp. although i think landing that ramp is incredibly inconsistent.
if you’re at the pump house, you can transfer into the lower spillway (where the red paint is) and should get enough air. or maybe try that drop in at the top of the spillway (OTL spawn point) and hit the impossible through the vert hole at the other end (an OTL task)
