Might have to check out night grom some more. I’m just always lost on grom. There are nice spots but going from one spot to the other always involves bailing and stumbling for me. Probably a skill issue haha but it just doesn’t work for me. Night mode looks cool but it sure doesn’t help with that.

I'm even not going out of my way to check the tunnel every so often, just because it isn't on my usual routes or whatever. Underdeveloped, yes maybe. For that I give them the good old early-access-benefit-of-doubt. Same with some of the bugs. When they appear both at the same time, and bugs also resurface multiple times and/or stay there for a long time...it starts to annoy me a bit.

I'm always of the principle: Better a half product than a half-a$*ed product.

And a lot of the time, its the first but also sometimes, it's both. And that doesn't feel so good lol

I just wanna say on the Frostbite side of things. I talked about this a little bit before Grom came out. Frostbite uses PBR (which is kinda how materials react to light) and then global illumination with Enlighten (or at least used to) for how light bounces around. What that means is generally speaking, think Madden/Fifa or even Grom now, the maps are specifically re-lit for night. It's not like, moving the sun and light source in say Unreal Engine and suddenly having a different looking scene.

It doesnt mean they're two entirely new maps/stadiums (whatever). They share the same geometry... so adding like a car into one it'll appear in the other.. you just have no gurantee it will look remotely good. 🙂

I played Hades 2 in Early Access and it was more or less like skate. Most stuff was there and the content was slowly added and not much else was revamped until the full release when they tweaked the story after some negative feedback. Then in Hades fashion, things need balancing after people start finding OP builds. It's just an easy term for a blanket statement but every dev might number their builds differently or have the early access at an earlier point than others and more people see the more obvious jump in development progress.

It also depends on how well established it's design is when it debuts into ea to begin with tbh.

At least from what I've seen, most don't particularly dislike it's early access period from a development perspective, more so how well established these seasons are paired with passes and sponsorships as if its touted as a full release, and how development staggers with this seasonal content. It's something you see after EA usually, not during if that makes sense.

(Ofc ppl want more community centric content etc but yeah)

I guess a better way of putting it is how the seasons are paired with road maps, the way it presents itself is iffy, and doing stuff like removing tix but offering bonus tix at a premium etc. In an ea period

That is fair. I think given the format of always online and large community servers does make it important to focus on community interaction for longevity. Balancing the competitive modes seems like a chore since the current individual challenges aren't inherently skill-based. I mean that as, you can turn on every assist and lower any aspect of the difficulty of the game to complete any challenge and still get the same reward/outcome as someone playing on a higher degree of difficulty.

Assists only go so far. Sure you can make grinding easier, but considering how many people seem to complain about Line challenges, there's still a standard of difficulty.
The real issue comes to adding modes like S.K.A.T.E which in the past just devolved into footplant-1080s or were separated by difficulty mode in Skate 3 (which meant, if you played on Hardcore, you would not get a match lmao)

With line challenges it's probably because they can't leave their board and not necessarily the difficulty of them. Not being able to get off your board and climb a ledge does make it more difficult than trying to ollie up the ledge though, so I guess if that counts. There are settings for higher tolerance on bails, fall height, ollie height, no bail low ground flip tricks, etc. More skill is needed for a well-done video clip with the replay editor than completing a challenge. I don't mean that as people who play the game have no skill, but if I were to have someone complete a challenge who never played a game in the series, they'd get the same reward from the challenge as someone who has more experience in the series. If the more experienced player had a higher reward for completing the task, skill would be more of a factor.

I will say, challenge objectives are already optional for the most part, so someone "less skilled" at the game does not need to finish every objective or do everything in one try as some goals suggest, which does lead to a difference in rewards. It's a minor difference, but one that I don't think really needs to be greater than a small amount of Tix or what have you and in this accounted for with the "owned it/killed it/shut it down" rank

I just make the beef like taco meat, except I use like a smoky garlic seasoning blend instead of taco seasoning. Also @ruby condor I'm not sure if you can disable all of them, I don't think so? But you can block the player if they're abusing it. Interact with the object and it'll tell you who it is, then you can block them in the social menu. Or usually they're standing around nearby watching their handiwork and you can just interact with their character instead of scrolling for their name. Maybe there's an easier way but that's how I've done it.

That could be due to the game not being updated, the EA App being offline (if on PC), corrupted config files, or needing to update/reinstall EA Anticheat.

Some steps could be updating your DNS settings, sign out/back in after restarting the device, and powercycling your modem/router.

I'd like to report a bug I'm currently facing. Yknow how slams work differently in slam challenges compared to free roam? The way your character can keep keep going as you hold R1? So, apparently since yesterday, my slams on those challenges are working like free roam, once my characters slams, he just lays there pancake mode (and yes my R1 is fine). My girl has the same problem too. Anyone else?
