Idk where to even post this but I'm looking for help with an issue I'm currently having when launching Skate. on pc. Whenever I go to launch the game, I'll hear the initial sound of the game launching but then my screen stays black and it completely bricks my pc so badly, I have to kill it from the power supply. The only solution that I've found up to this point is to either uninstall and reinstall every time I go to launch the game or just not play at all. Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same thing I had to downgrade my gpu driver a bit

its something with windows update and nvidia driver as far as I can tell

but if you just click another window instead of the game while opening it you can stop it from crashing windows

I read that changing the launch option on steam to launch as windowed would help and it did for about a week and then back down to square one. That being said, I'd usually run it borderless

i'm thinking windows might have changed something in their weird post-processing mumbo jumbo, hopefully one of the things you can change. @clever root have you tried deleting the %localappdata%\Skate\data\[random numbers] folder? that weirdly fixes a lot more than it should 🫤

Yeah idk, Ive been dealing with it for months. Before I downgraded my windows version a bit and that fixed it but then when I fixed my pc it force updated my windows and I started having this issue again so I downgraded gpu driver a bit and it fixed. Both arent ideal.

I’m on Xbox and don’t have that option. I only get the left stick interact option when I’m physically close enough to the item. When I go into just general quick drop and “mouse over” the item I only get enable/disable and using left stick does nothing. Do you have that option on Xbox?

And built out of inflatables off the rocks to the left. Jumping down on them won’t let you interact and when you start using mani pads to build down and out they delete them. It’s no longer a live issue as they haven’t done it in 10 mins or so but the difficult in iding qd items without physically getting close has and will continue to be an issue

Think about it, how much do you spend on leisure activities on a daily basis?
For experiences that can only be attainable when you pay for them, and they'll only last for a short moment.

This game is free, you don't have to spend money on it and you have access to it every day, any time, for months.

Ofc u don't have to pay for it, but I wouldn't say you need to be afraid of spending a bit of money

I wouldn't go all in on it investing a large sum of money, but you could contribute to the game's success if it must happen while having some level of fun with skins while you're at it

Gullcrest: 8/10

• Really good use of the space, indoor section feels like a real park and has superb flow and there are line options running the perimeter of the warehouse
  not so much a negative, more a suggestion to start moving away from the tired orange and start using concrete or wood textures, even for some parks. this will add variation and a point of difference

Market Mile 6/10

• Vert for days for vert lovers, cones, QPs, and a funky elevated snake bowl section
  not the prettiest car on the lot, but functional and thats what counts

Hedgemont 5/10

• two great sections for single tricks or short lines
  no real flow, weird rails and overall feels rushed and more like an after thought. Not the worst its ever been.

Loving the Gullcrest community parks this season. Wondering why the other community parks don’t seem to be getting the same love and attention. Gullcrest has tons of new parks in rotation, but the other two are still the same old rotations as previous seasons.

gotta disagree about the hedgemont park, this one makes no sense to me. there's maybe one skateable line and the rest feels like it was added to fill some arbitrary object minimum. one of the worst offenders of pointless parks. 2/10 to be generous.
gully is 10/10, i don't see how different textures would make it any better except maybe shifting towards concrete. the orangy color is the same as is used for the pliable transition wood in wood parks

Yeah I assume they wouldn’t make all new assets or colors to directly match competition or real parks, but they could have them inspired by. Plus we have seem them use benches, planter boxes, fences, and other assets before in Gullcrest so I feel like they could still replicate some spots or parks fairly well.
