I've come to the conclusion that what makes a skateboarding video game great is both excellent mechanics, as well as excellent multiplayer features

skate should really prioritize solid social features with the coming seasons

I genuinely don't think its a surprise that Skate is most enjoyable for me and many others when playing socially with friends
Full Circle need to capitalize on that aspect further than an open social world
What makes Skate so excellent is not just that it has the most polished and refined skateboarding mechanics of any skateboarding title out there
But also because it puts an active effort on emphasizing social play and social interaction
Thats the key to unlocking skate's potential
Skate does fine as a standalone campaign title, sure (like the trilogy before it)
But it has the bones and core that comprise an excellent multiplayer social game

the "hit the bricks" challenge is a bit cooked now because of the placement of the last bearing, if you don't get the double flip off before collecting it it doesn't count and it's almost directly above the thing you need to double flip over. it used to count tricks until landing after collecting the last bearing or at least not cut you off immediately as you collect it.
