Someone placed a wall of dumpsters right in front of this ledge we were skating, so I block and then the wall turns into a wall of moving lines that were gonna give my eyes a seizure 😭

Yep. And it’s a bit of training (and checking gear…which is going uh..not too well lol) for a long distance hike this summer.

We have more nature and something you could call forests more towards the north east from here. But those forests are still so small. Wolves came back to the Netherlands over the last decade or so and our forests are so small that they often walk through villages…
Oh and they get so bored that they’re killing farm animals for fun.

thats pretty strange for canine to kill for fun, thats unusual in wild dogs, its usually territorial, hunger, fear/stress, natural reasons like that. You usualy see that kind of behaviour in domestic dogs that have, bad homes, we will say

Imo it would be best to just have a setting to disallow gifting to the extreme minority of players who would genuinely be mad about the ability to give gifts after getting a gift they dislike. The massive majority of players will appreciate either the ability to give gifts, receive them, or both. Being mad about getting gifts because you didn't like them or being extremely private about the cosmetics you own and presumably bought to show off are both extremely rare personality traits, and it sounds really silly to stop all of us from gifting just to please the tiny fraction of humans genuinely bothered by gifts, when a personal setting would suffice.

Perhaps someone can point me towards a video editor that will let me stitch some files together without bloating the thing so much. ClipChamp took 3 differen 2mb (each) files and exported something like 32mb, and Canva exported something like 24mb. Idk why 2+2+2 doesnt just equal 6

DaVinci Resolve free version works fine

You also need to check the resolution when exporting, higher res means larger file size
plus audio quality on export
plus if you added music
plus if you added any effects

it stacks up pretty quick

All of them were exported from Skate in 1080p, and I didnt add any sfx, vfx, transitions, anything... Literally just put them next to each other on the timeline, cut out a few seconds to trim it down, and exported back into 1080p. I forgot I had Davinci Resolve as a zip in my downloads, so I'll check it out

depnding what you use some programs force a file size because that is the best way for them to export it with consitent quality,

Davinci Resolve is pretty good at keeping file sizes down, but they will always grow when exporting

Secondary compression is the next step, using a separate tool

but then you lose quality

clipchamp re-encodes files and exports higher bitrate/lower compression.. you can use handbrake to compress the files afterwards

as mentioned though, davinci resolve free is great.. but does need a little bit of setup first before you start importing clips and then when exporting you need to choose your output options (there are some presets also)

I've come to the conclusion that what makes a skateboarding video game great is both excellent mechanics, as well as excellent multiplayer features

skate should really prioritize solid social features with the coming seasons

I genuinely don't think its a surprise that Skate is most enjoyable for me and many others when playing socially with friends
Full Circle need to capitalize on that aspect further than an open social world

What makes Skate so excellent is not just that it has the most polished and refined skateboarding mechanics of any skateboarding title out there

But also because it puts an active effort on emphasizing social play and social interaction

Thats the key to unlocking skate's potential
Skate does fine as a standalone campaign title, sure (like the trilogy before it)
But it has the bones and core that comprise an excellent multiplayer social game

skate style has awesome potential, the anim editor is nuts to play around with, only issue atm the the lack of true freedom as the game isnt actually fully physics based like the steam page suggests and things like certain tricks being tied to an axis means you cant replace tricks with another thats too different, grinds are lock in no matter what etc, but hopefully with time that gets worked out

@pliant cloak quick cuts are when you set your keyframe spacing as low as it can go in the settings, then set a key frame, tap, and i mean tap, the trigger to scrub just one frame ahead, set a new key frame at a new angle and pray that it cuts nice and quickly like you have multiple cameras set up

super glue and duct tape, you put a bit of glue around both sides of the rip and patch both sides with duct tape, it is very ugly but does the trick if youve got nothing else

You can still build in mid-air by having friends move your bottom build while you are repositioning the top one, then you let go and it goes back to where it was (though I think some people still do it alone and I'm unsure how)
