I been playing with a zoomed in camera (because you’re microscopic on height 1) and I’m skating smaller and tighter obstacles/ rails/ gaps. Stuff like park benches I normally just ignore. Making the world bigger somehow makes stuff that didn’t really work too well skateable

Finally landed the 1080, so stupid how that’s genuinely the only method if you don’t want to learn how to prewind

i suggest pre-wind 1080 at the mega ramp on Grom or pre-wind 1080 at rolling waves

little tip, use a grab when you leave the ramp and you will spin faster

pre-wind can be a little tricky but with a little patience and practice you'll get it easy as

manual, 180, manual, 180 has been patched by the looks of it

pre-wind is when you hold down on the left analogue before an ollie and drag it left or right just before you leave the ramp and push the analogue the opposite direction when you leave the ramp

you will still have to ollie

think of it as setting up your shoulders to spin IRL

you will know youve done it right when the character twists their shoulders in game

just remember to do the grab so you can spin faster

to my understanding, body flip rotation speed is bugged and also has some weird entanglement with player position relative to the ground. As it stands, double and triple bodyflips really aren't feasible without exploiting some aerial issues. I've been trying since I started last fall, still can't make it happen in any meaningful way.

the Upper Spillway provides some good opportunities for transition skating, but the Lower Spillway would have been a great vert spot if not for the small, drastic curves leading to long vertical walls, making a really awkward flow to try to thrash wall after wall.

Ironically, what I enjoy most from Grom is taking the road all the way down like i'm speed skating.
