I'm glad the people who wanna go fast and do big jumps have Grom, but personally I much prefer street skating. So after a couple of days of Grom I've been back in SV. I do hope SV gets some more variation to it though. A dock/industrial area would be sick.

Personally (part of me hates saying this because they paywalled it, so I'll just bring that up one more time to make myself feel better about admitting what I'm about to admit), I greatly prefer Grom to most spots in San Van purely for its overall aesthetic and the way the background of the videos tends to look (pretty natural views rather than an endless sea of billboards). Even the concrete skatepark-type sections just look better to me than most of San Van. I don't really hate skating either place in terms of flow, so I guess I'm just a simple-minded Wookiee who doesn't know a good spot when he sees one. But in terms of visual appearance, Grom wins easily for me.

I will say though that SV is getting better looking every update. Some areas of the map look genuinely great now. I think what would highten SV a lot would be a day/night cycle and maybe even some sort of weather cycle. Anything to make it feel less uniform really.
And make it controllable in the replay editor too 🙏
