it was harder to get/keep multipliers in the older games, i'm a bit confused why its so easy to 4x in this game tbh
a 180 laser to manny kickflip out can pretty reliably get you a 3x mult from nothing, you'd get maybe a 2x in skate 2/3

A 180 nollie heelflip is a good beginner hippy to try on waist level rails. A shove-it is easier on shin level rails.

But I've seen people land lasers and impossibles, so your timing is probably the limit when it comes to shapes that seem theoretically open for business.

Plus a channel for a more select dedicated base of players to communicate with devs, and run polls to try and understand the wider player population rather than selecting for the most dedicated/ hardcore. Another part of me can't help but think its a skateboarding game with the mechanics pretty locked down, is it really that hard to make good/ popular decisions?

All I'm saying is that would have still been a problem with my people, because they were stacking Tix to save for later content in Season 1 when this system of cross-progression between Seasons was originally established, and they want value for the money they spent. No clever framing or excuse making or timing will make them feel differently about their money being burned or thrown away on content they don't like.

Naaah that’s not fair I think. Like season 1 to 2 also a lot of
Tix dissapeared but that also wasn’t clear until quite far into the season. Everybody knew that it was a gamble. Jeff repeatedly warned me and others that saving tix was risky even back then.

I just think overall the biggest issue people have is that they changed the rules so far into the season. We even asked “will it be the same this time?”
And we didn’t get any reply. One simple”don’t bet on it, thinks might change” would even have helped.

Again, surely not for everyone, but in general.

Well agree to disagree lol I think the system was plainly misleading to a lot of people and the resentment about a policy switch was extremely predictable and not at all unfair.

Some of the people I'm repping do not come to Discord to ask Jeff for insider info to get clarification about ambiguous policy, they just go with the implications of the UI. Nothing about the UI said Tix would go away. Even in S1, the UI clearly indicated you could spend Tix across seasons, based on season pass purchasability end dates, implying the use of Tix didn't go away. Furthermore, you can buy this cross-season currency with real money, making it feel like something that would persist the way pass item purchasability persists. Furthermore, the currency remained the same from S1 to S2, implying a cross-season pass currency would remain the same, establishing an apparent pattern in which Tix would be the purchase currency for S1, S2, and even S3 (during which S2 content was to remain available), with, again, no in-game warning to assume their RMT Tix would ever go away. Regardless of how people expected the transition from S2 to S3 to go after free Tix evaporated, investments that my friends would want to see respected were already made back in S1 and early S2.

It might be prudent or wise on the basis of skepticism about design for profit to suspect that the state of Tix would evolve and they may be taken away, but I wouldn't say it's unfair, nor unreasonable on a side note, to expect respect for an established pattern that involves your real money investment - except perhaps in light of how unreliable all things on Earth can be.

Nothing is clear there. And also there, it should have been clear from the start. That’s what I’m saying. If it was clear at start of season 2 that tix would expire, your friends surely wouldn’t have bought them anymore. I may hope.

They should have communicated (or better:postpone to next season and communicate at the beginning of this coming season) and in that way the change would have been a lot better.

I also think it’s reasonable that they change things, because they clearly state that they’re finding the right way to handle things. But they shouldn’t alter the rules mid game, so to speak.
