The beauty of the other 3 skates was that PEOPLE were creative and used their imaginations and inspirations from other real life parks they’ve seen. I don’t want to see AI slop in this game, no one does. AI makes mistakes and a hell of a lot of them, the community parks are booty cheeks and have been since release, that’s your AI at work.

was a sequel, used the same engine, reused assets and added more.
skate. was built from the ground up on Frostbite on 3 more platforms than the previous titles..

i'm not arguing with you about how you feel, but the comparison "Skate 3 was done in one year" leaves a bit of details like there was already a base built on the same engine. and development stopped after the last DLC. the Full Circle team are continually adding, improving, fixing. (not everything they're working on may be super visable, as there's a lot of tech behind the scenes they're fixing to improve stability. that's why we have weekly known issues and upcoming fix status updates.)

It's easy to say "They should have just made it good and finished it before releasing it". But do you genuinely think developers go into a project and think "hehe let's make a bad game"? They want the game to be as good as it can be just as much as the rest of us. They just have to prioritize what's being worked on and when, and account for their team size and skill. I'm sure they also get a lot of people from above asking them to re-prioritize as well.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I am fine with them tying map expansions to the skate.pass or Rip Chips (which let’s be honest, is a way to incentivize and push people to the skate.pass). It would have gone over a lot better if they just came out and were transparent about it and said they apologize they are changing things, but they realized financially it’s something they need to do to better support the game and give us additional areas quicker.

Instead they changed things, didn’t explain why, and just acted as if no one would be upset or question it at all.

the info that was shared 2-3 weeks ago through the Dev blogs is how the season rollover (Auto-Exchange) will happen, how Grom access will happen, and how the new updated roadmap and seasonal structure will happen.

if new info comes through (and I have no information other than what was shared in the studio/dev updates), it will be shared. the team are aware of the feedback, which we've shared with them and discussed. i have no other info to share here about that.

there's a few things from clips and things that when you export them you always get a flat textured wall or concrete currently, so slowly having areas feel more real, like the leaves being added - is small but its a nice QoL improvement

i'm pretty sure you can upload custom decks on CCS to have printed, it would be pretty trivial to accomplish that aspect IMO

we use Controle skateboards in Canada for our decks, but yeah, it's not terrible hard to get designs done.
